Lovely cosy comfortable cottage well equipped and nicely presented. Just like the photos. Good size area to sit outside undercover to enjoy the large backyard, bbq and plenty of room for our dogs to run and chase ball. Great location, only minutes walking to Swan Lake and nice walking track along the river into nearby town. Quick drive into Sussex Inlet and only 30min drive to nearby larger shopping centre Trixi was easy to communicate with, friendly and provided very handy info of the area including dog friendly areas, which there are lots around this area. Would recommend a stay to explore the local area

We spent a few tranquil days at Mates Rest for my husbands 50th birthday. We loved the beach shack vibe with all the modern amenities - spacious and airy, excellent location to walk to each end of beach, bowls club and general store. Excellent prompt communication from Geoff at all times. We will definitely be back. Beautiful spot, beautiful few days in the slow lane.

We had a great weekend here. A wonderful house in the bush with everything you need including a fun fire pit. The kids loved the bunk bedroom and I loved the decked out kitchen and record player. Walkable beach access and lots of local visitors including parrots and kangaroos.

I could not recommend Olivia’s place more highly. This home is so much more than the pictures could ever portray. A gorgeous family home with all of the creature comforts to make a stay with young kids seamless. The location is fantastic, the kitchen is new and very well appointed (sharp knives!), the beds were comfy (iykyk), and the place was spotless. A warm and inviting place for a holiday, we will definitely be back!

We just finished a 4 night stay at this place and it was lovely. There is a simplicity to low tech and low overhead living which is what this is about. Leave the windows open and live among the space. This is a summer haven. Close to the beach and countryside. The beach is a 2 mins drive up the drivewayt and across the road. The town is 10 mins away. That distance is perfect because the town is nuts. There are people everywhere. Each time I got back to the property I felt releived to be away from the crowds again. Gudrun and her partner are absolutely lovely people and impeccable hosts. They were super helpful and you can see that this place will just keep getting better. Thx

An amazing place to get away from the city noise and pretty much close to everything you need. Will definitely be back when we have another getaway trip to Port Stephens. 10/10 recommend for families to get together and enjoy without distractions around!!!

We had a fantastic stay at Back O’ The Moon in Moss Vale. The property is full of charm, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located for a peaceful getaway. Bernie was a wonderful host — welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, memorable escape!

We enjoyed a couple of days at the Pool House in Caves Beach. Good location, an easy walk to the beach, shops and cafes. The Pool House was perfect for our needs, very clean, well equipped, private and the fridge was thoughtfully stocked with milk, bread, eggs, wine and beer and other provisions. A very comfortable stay, thank you.

Lovely relaxing cabin. Foliage and the privacy screening around the front BBQ space meant that you feel secluded even with cabins nearby.

Really nice place, walkable distance to Byron bay beaches. Clean and tidy, has a tv with Netflix etc on it, and the sofa outside gets some lovely afternoon sun. Fast response rate to messages, nice restaurant called Lightyear nearby, nice cafe called general store I would recommend. I wouldn’t recommend to someone with limited mobility as maybe too far to walk to Byron, but it’d only really 20 minutes walk. Did need to buy some beach towels but they did recommend a place to rent towels, would suggest doing that in advance.

This place is a hidden gem and a must if you are wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the beaches during peak periods. We stumbled upon The Shed whilst searching for shelter from camping in a tent and it's safe to say we could stayed forever, so much so we started to look for real estate near by. Julie and Nick have thought of it all, plus provided extra touches to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect. The outdoor bath is so tranquil, the property is stunning and the space itself has been decorated with love and intent for those to enjoy. We hope to return to enjoy the space again . our family had holiday trip to sydney , and we are really happy to live here, 2mins walking distance to thailand n chinese food, also to aldi supermarket, at home they provide everything we need, and first come here he provide bread , drink n milk, the place is very quite confortable n i had good sleep here. Chen really helpfull too, overal we enjoy our stay here

Perfect place to stay for a few days while visiting family. Felt at home right away, everything I needed was there.

I loved my stay here, it felt remote and private with all the lush greenery surrounding the house. The kitchen was large and very well equipped, contact with Jay was easy and quick. And the pool when the sun came out was the cherry on top!
