Lake house vacation rentals in New Haven

Our stay at Vanessa's house was tranquil and picturesque. The washing machine broke down a few days before our arrival, but Vanessa remained on top of it, and made sure it was in working order before we checked in, which we appreciated tremendously. We couldn't beat the view of the water and only wish it had been a bit warmer so that we could have appreciated the gorgeous back porch area. Thank you, Vanessa!

Marian’s property was extremely well-appointed, comfortable, peaceful, and exactly what I was looking for in a winter getaway . The space kept us entertained and allowed us to create great holiday memories. The kitchen, bathroom, and every space in this home was absolutely spotless. The home was well-appointed with high-quality cooking utensils, pots, and pans. There were plenty of towels, bathroom essentials, and the toys for the kids were an absolute plus. Finally, the view and the tranquility associated with the lake was great. Fire pit outside and fireplace inside allowed for the family to congregate comfortably and create wonderful memories. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Beautiful accommodations in a very convenient location! Right near the wedding we traveled to attend. We all enjoyed family meals in the spacious dining area and had plenty of room to cook together. Our family loves the out doors and the small pond, abundant trees and fire pit were a real plus! Highly recommend this Airbnb 🤓

We've stayed at Mae's lovely house several times, in many different seasons, and once again it did not disappoint. Excellent fireplace, comfortable furnishings, nicely equipped kitchen, stylish bathroom. And the gorgeous view of the pond and its abundant birdlife is always a treat. We can't wait for our next visit!

We were in town for a wedding and we stayed for a long weekend, and so glad we found this place. The price was definitely worth it, it was extremely clean, and looked just like the pictures. This was actually the first time booking an Airbnb, and I don't know if I can go back. The rooms were perfect size, especially the master bedroom. Had parking in the back. Huge plus was the PacMan arcade game, the guys loved it!

Enjoyed our stay. The place matched the description and the pictures. It is in a nice, quiet area. There is a supermarket right around the corner. Gas stations and Starbucks are not far away, either. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The living and dining rooms get lots of natural light. One thing to note is that while the address shows up in a Google maps search, the final destionation the app takes you to is a few houses down, on a different street. But it was easy enough to figure out, and other navigation apps had no issue. Would stay here again if the opportunity arises.

This area is where I grew up, and I love East Hampton. I return 2-3x a year, and this was the best visit we’ve had come by home in a long time. It was worth the price, even though it was off season and we spent a lot of time visiting family over the holiday. Beautifully and thoughtfully appointed, it was better than we expected! A lot of work went into this place and it really shows. Parking was sparse but we worked everything out. (Our travel plans required us to pull a car trailer at the last minute.) Our hosts were very accommodating with our dog, which is very much appreciated. Wonderful experience. We’d love to return!

Really enjoyed our stay at Tom’s place. The house is so charming, quiet surrounding and very private. It was a perfect place to stay for three of us as a little gate away. When you have any question, Tom gets back to you very quick. Also access to the private lake club across the street was such a bonus. We enjoyed going there, swim, lay on the sandy beach…. Love to come back and stay again. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

We needed a comfortable road trip stop with laundry, so this worked well for us. Just a little away from town on a quiet street. The beds were VERY firm, but we still slept fine, so if you need a soft bed you should be aware. Good stay overall!

My son, our border collie dog and I had a wonderful stay at Margie’s place. We really enjoyed the property, the access to the lake and paddle board. There was plenty of yard to run around, play frisbee, soccer and enjoy the lake. Margie was really attentive and friendly and the other dogs were great friends for ours. Thanks for hosting us!

Great place to stay for a weekend with friends/family. Location is slightly ghetto I can't lie however the house was beautiful inside and in the game room. Plenty of space for multiple people.

We had a wonderful month at this property. The space was perfect for the two of us, but there were also two extra bedrooms. As stated in the descriptions, it is located right on the Branford River and minutes from the beach one way, and town the other. The host (Julia) was unbelievably responsive and helpful in every way. It was a five star experience in every way

This was a great location for our family of 7. There were enough beds, good amenities, and it was a great location to get down to the Connecticut River. It was centrally located and we were able to explore many cities in CT due to the location. The hosts were extremely responsive and the home was well-maintained.

Awesome house. I liked the turf backyard, and the smart bathrooms were a pleasant surprise since I didn't read the reviews in advance. I thought the house was super aesthetic; the group I was with thought the house looked like how a guy would design a house for what they thought a girl would like. The house didn't have all the essentials to cook and clean after cooking, but Sim was able to have the cleaner bring supplies within a day. The house is fairly limited on glass and stemware- something to keep in mind if you're celebrating something. *** It's also not mentioned in the listing, but we received a fairly concerning message from the owner that they're facing legal issues with the city due to previous loud noise complaints from the house, and further noise complaints would result in immediate cancellation of the stay without refund. *** Also, the wifi network didn't work our entire stay. It wasn't able to be fixed while we were there, which also limited use of the smart tv.

We loved meeting Dinos and staying at his place. It’s clean, quiet, and spacious. The location is perfect, only a few blocks from a pristine beach on the sound. And Dinos is such a warm, generous host. He brought us fresh fish and vegetables! I felt like we were staying with family. We will definitely be back next year.

Comfortable place with a beautiful view. Beds were comfortable. Board games were an added bonus for entertainment.
