Lake house vacation rentals in New Haven

Enjoyed our stay in the woods with a beautiful view of the river. Easy to get to and very close to the charming town of New Milford and many good restaurants. Although right off a busy road it was quiet inside the house. The great room, which is on the top floor, is wonderful and perfect for both working and entertaining and has a full bath. It looks like the photos with an amazing view. The bedrooms and another bath are underneath. The master bedroom is the best. Just be aware you can hear the footsteps from above and not all of the bedroom windows have bug screens. The entertainment room on the lower level which opens into the yard is filled with games and a large tv and was lots of fun. The weather was cool & rainy so we didn’t use the outdoor space as much as we thought we would but there was a kayak. The house was private and although there is no interior deadbolt we felt safe. The house was clean with good heat/ac and wi fi. Hosts were responsive.

If you're looking for a cute little cottage in the woods near the lake to recharge and relax - this is it! KC provided an extensive list of instructions and to know's, which made check in/check out and all the in-between fool proof. KC was super friendly and responsive as well!

We had a fantastic time at Marian’s place. Our guests were my husband, 1 yr old and I, my parents and sister. The moment we walked into the home my Dad said “I feel so relaxed!” I wanted to give a shoutout to the cleanliness of the place. It was absolutely spotless, and we have really high standards— my parents were custodians in a different life! Finally, the space is very family friendly. Closets had a baby bath and high chair. These touches make it so much easier traveling with a child! Thank you Marian! We will be back!

Loved our girls’ getaway on the North Fork! Mae’s house is the perfect spot with a quick walk to the beach and gorgeous views right from her backyard - even close drives to beautiful Southold, Mattituck, and Greenport. I will absolutely stay again!

Barbara was an excellent host, very accommodating to our needs particularly with check-in time. Her home was the perfect place for our traveling family members to stay to attend our son's wedding. Very clean with all the amenities as described. Although my family members spent the majority of their time at my house to attend all the weekend wedding festivities, they were very comfortable and enjoyed their stay at Barbara's house . Thank you so much Barbara for sharing your home with us!

This space was absolutely amazing. It was clean quiet and incredibly beautiful. As we sat looking out over the pond a young male deer with little stubby horns walked by, stopped to stare at us for a while, and then moved on. Obviously we already booked our return trip to stay again. I highly recommend this space to personal and business travelers. Enjoy!!!!

Olivia has a lovely home! my friends and I got together for my birthday and it was amazing. lots of space for everyone. backyard is huge, and the game room is a great added extra. will be booking again soon!! the house was easy to get into and she was very helpful and responsive. also very close to Yale with good restaurants. thanks to Olivia 💕 for reference I had 13 people go, and there was a good amount of space for everyone to sleep.

We loved our stay! Beautiful place, plenty of room, lovely view of the lake, and friendly neighborhoods. Karl was extremely responsive with any and all questions. He was very accommodating...even let us in a little early on the day we checked in because he knew we were traveling. We had a great stay and will be back when we are in the area!

The location suited our needs perfectly. It was close to our Jehovah’s Witness facility in Patterson NY. We had a morning tour which made it very convenient, only 20 minutes away. We not only enjoyed the peaceful quietness, we were also able to do a little fishing at the boat docks right on the property of Candlewood Isle and caught a few fish.☺️

Sim's place was picture perfect. Beautiful view of the Quinnipiac River from the ground floor drawing room as well as first floor bedroom. Totally serene and peaceful. Sim and Sheyla were very approachable and very prompt in providing support. Would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Aude's home in Essex. The setting was beautiful and the house itself was immaculate. It is a 7 minute drive to the center of town, which was convenient. The host was very responsive and quick to fix any concerns we brought to her attention. I would definitely return to this Airbnb!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful Lake House. Everything was perfect—exactly as described in the listing and perhaps even better. You can’t beat the gorgeous lake view from the living room and primary bedroom. It was also one of the cleanest, most comfortable Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed, especially the beds and pillows, which is rare for a rental. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary supplies, and appliances and finishings were high-end. The host was very responsive and reliable. I would highly recommend and hope to return again!

Beautiful accommodations in a very convenient location! Right near the wedding we traveled to attend. We all enjoyed family meals in the spacious dining area and had plenty of room to cook together. Our family loves the out doors and the small pond, abundant trees and fire pit were a real plus! Highly recommend this Airbnb 🤓

Spectacular view of the lake. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and all the games at the cottage. You have to cross a busy road to go to the dock, but it’s worth the price. The cottage was clean. Beds were comfortable. Such a beautiful area to visit!

We loved staying at Linda’s house. Is was very clean and setup like you are stepping into your own home with everything needed in the kitchen and comfortable furniture. The views are killer and you get amazing morning sunshine in the house.
