The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The local tour operator also offers the possibility of a day trip to Prague.

Sebnitz is a very good starting point for exploring Bohemian and rear Saxon Switzerland. This is possible on foot or by bike. Even those who would like to use the mountain bike. Other beautiful and well-known places are Dresden 50 km, Pirna 35 km and Bad Schandau 15 km away.
