Welcome also to our old farmhouse, where part of the former stable has been transformed into a charming B&B. Uniquely decorated with lots of art on the walls and a well-stocked bookcase. The b and b is located separately and closed off from the main house. Private entrance, private bedroom and private bathroom. There is one B&B room. Breakfast included.

Our monumental farmhouse (1876) is close to the beautiful city of Leiden (10 minutes by car). Also close to Amsterdam (30 minutes), Schiphol AirPort (20/25 minutes), the Hague (20 minutes). The beautiful beaches of Katwijk and Noordwijk are only half an hour away. For people who love the outdoors; there are many cycling and hiking possibilities close by. At the end of a dead-end road at the bottom of the dike overlooking the "Eilandspolder" nature reserve and a 5-minute walk from the "de Havik" mill, hidden between the reeds and right on the ring canal, is the "De Smid" vacation home. 30-minute drive from Amsterdam Noord. 30-minute drive from the Noord Zeestrand. Accommodation by the Sea

Our dream of building a vacation home on our own property came true in the spring of 2021. Together with our three daughters, Noa, Bo and Sam, we live in the so-called beloved “Vogeltjesbuurt” in Katwijk aan Zee. Close to the beach and dunes, a fantastic place has been created here. The cottage was designed by ourselves and built with love by a handy uncle, father and friends. Finally, we can proudly share our vacation home for guests to enjoy.

Busy You @ Sea is een volledig gerenoveerde studio, open sinds maart 2024. Op één minuut lopen van de duinen. Ook het strand en het centrum bevinden zich op loopafstand. Dé plek om te ontspannen en tot rust te komen! De gezellige studio met eigen opgang (29 m2, open ruimte) is gelegen in het souterrain en van alle gemakken voorzien. Openslaande deuren geven toegang tot je privé terras, met uitzicht op de (gedeeltelijk omheinde) tuin.

Guest suite 10 min walking distance from the city center!

The guest suite is located in the backyard of our plot, and can be reached via a side gate of our house. The studio has 2 single beds (80-200) and a cozy seating area with 2 chairs. TV available. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle and fridge. It is not possible to cook extensively. There is a small dining table with 2 chairs. In front of the Guesthouse, you have a small outdoor terrace with 2 seats.
