Akarisou means ‘Light House’ I chose this name in the hope that this house would be ‘Light’ to my guests In the main bed room, you’ll find a wall decoration made of wooden lattice which is like ‘Sunshine’ There's a free parking lot in front of my house　(max size of the car: 4.5m×2.5m) , super convenient if you travel by car! A primary school is in front of my house so you can enjoy spacious view and nature of school ground from the veranda.

We are a group of 7 people traveling to Kyoto for the first time. This listing contains 5 different houses and the one we stayed at is the Hana house. Note the Hana house has 1 shower/tub room, and 1 toilet room but we made it work! The house has a spacious living room and was a great space for us to gather after a full day of sightseeing. There is a Lawson and Family mart that is a few minutes walk from the house. You can get to many temples and shrines by feet including the Kyomizu-dera and the shopping street, all within 20 - 30 minutes. The host was very nice and gave us great tips and information on local recommendations.

This was a magnificent, absolutely perfect stay in Kyoto. The hosts are very friendly, hospitable, helpful in all matters; special thanks for the welcome goods! We fell in love with the house instantly. There are all the facilities you might need ever in your life, the atmosphere is exactly what we wanted from traditional house in Kyoto. It was very clean, cozy and just magical. We took very good memories with us from this stay. Also bikes were available which was very convenient, since Kyoto is the place to sightsee on bicycle.

Would stay again. Great location easy walk to very useful station for getting around but away from the busy parts of the city. Very safe feel to the community. Near a nice playground. Very clean. Plenty of space. Stairs narrow and shallow so need to be careful with small kids. Shower was unexpectedly good. Hour train ride from Kansas airport with no changes. Five minutes to universal. The image of Osaka is beautifully engraved in my head, and this accommodation will play a role of more than 50%. The Japanese-style tatami structure was really beautiful, and I slept really well. A drink at the sitting table next to the bedroom, breakfast or lunch at the table in front of the TV. I had a leisurely and enjoyable stay in a spacious area! This is an accommodation I want to visit again if I come to Osaka next time!

Great stay at this place for our family. Close to two train stations (including loop line) with supermarket, chemist, and food options also nearby. Comfortable beds, handy washing machine and having a kitchen meant we could eat in a few times too. The garage was also handy as we hired a car (also walking distance) at the end of our stay to travel on to our next destination (Shirahama). Would stay here again if in the Osaka area.

Our best stay in Japan! Soony’s place is close to the train station which is surrounded by many restaurants and stores (i.e. there’s a Don Quijote, pharmacy, 7-Eleven nearby). The house itself is extremely spacious for five people and kept very clean, thus we were able to rest well and enjoy ourself in the house. I would go back to Soony’s place for my next trip in a group. Thank you for being a warm host, Soony! 😊
