Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nagara River

Rustic accommodation in an unbelievably beautiful place. The house is spacious and comfortable. Chie and her family are very special people who made our stay a highlight. our second stay at this lovely place.

Traditional building, the space is good, the bathroom equipment is very new, the environment is clean and tidy and comfortable, every door is opened is a surprise, as if staying in a house with a cat in Miyazaki.One point to praise, the host prepared two hair dryers!!Really very, very sweet for a lot of girls sharing ~

Lovely house, well built, in a sweet neighborhood, close to a lovely forest. We enjoyed the house very much, we sat by the fire when it snowed outside and it was magical. Thank you for hosting us!

We really enjoyed our stay with Miwa. Her son was responsive to messages, especially useful when we organised to have our bags forwarded and to change our plans slightly due to bad weather. When we arrived, Miwa gave us a warm welcome and took us on a a tour of the place. It was spotless clean and has a nice warm shower. As described, it is a traditional home, so perfect if you want to experience sleeping on a futon atop tatami mats. We visited the area to walk the Nakasendo Trail but on this particular day the weather was very wet and so we decided to rest for the day instead. The village on a Sunday is very quiet and many of the restaurants shut up shop early. Given the situation, Miwa took pity on us and brought us some lovely baked goods. We were made to feel very welcome and would recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the area.

Thanks for a wonderful stay! We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for our family of 6, very comfortable, spacious and well stocked with everything we could need. The futon beds were extremely comfortable and lots of wardrobe space. The location was very near to a bus stop with a fantastic Nepalese restaurant nearby. A short bus ride to the station and only 20 minutes into the centre. Jasmin was extremely helpful and responsive with any questions. We would highly recommend this property.

Very good at introducing nearby food, and will tell you where there is free parking, the place to stay is very comfortable, there are convenience stores nearby, the environment is quiet

Our group of 8 stayed at this Air BnB during our three night stay in Kyoto. This place has two floors and the top and bottom floor are copies of each other. I really liked that each floor had their own washer/dryer, fridges and bathrooms. The area has a lot of good restaurants and it is fairly close to Nishkiki market along with other attractions. The Air BnB comes with a booklet of recommendations for restaurants and clear instructions on the home;

This is my third stay. The bedding and towels are clean and comfortable, and I am always very satisfied. It's become a place that's hard to book, but I'd love to stay again if I get the chance.

Overall it was an excellent experience staying at Anita's place. The place was so clean (there's no dust at all!) with complete amenities. Anita was also very responsive and friendly. She provided very clear instruction (+ immigration instruction) with youtube videos which make live easier. She also gave us free ride to the airport. We are so thankful for the very kind gesture of her and her husband. Hope we can stay again at her place in the future!

Absolutely loved my stay here! The apartment was spotlessly clean, located in a peaceful neighborhood yet super close to everything—Dotonbori is just around the corner, and the train station is walkable, which made exploring Osaka so easy. The host was extremely responsive, and the lockers provided were super handy for storing our bags before check-in. It’s also just a short walk to the market and great food spots. Overall, a must-stay in Osaka—I’ll definitely be booking again next time I’m in the city!

This apartment was perfect. We felt like locals for a weekend. The 7 eleven below was so convenient for the early mornings/ late nights. The unit itself was immaculate and very spacious. We were a 2 min walk from the river/ Dotonbori shopping and the fishing restaurant was two doors down- what an experience! Miwa was very helpful and responded quickly, easing our anxiety in a new town. We couldn’t love this place more! Allowing us to leave luggage after checkout was also so amazing! Thank you thank you thank you!

A beautiful, cozy apartment in the heart of Gion district Kyoto. Location is excellent. We enjoyed seeing geishas and meikos regularly on evening walks just outside the apartment. It was close to hiking trails, many sightseeing destinations, trains, restaurants, etc. In the heart of everything. And yet super quiet, being on 4th floor with no neighbors (above or on sides) in an alley. Only downside is that the kitchen is very efficient, single burner, no counter space, etc. But you should be mostly eating out anyway. Also there is a red light at night in the main room from the fire alarm—we had to cover it with a jacket to sleep. Not sure what other reviewers thought was deceptive—it was as I expected, and honestly the view is phenomenal. Yes there is a parking lot but you can hardly see it and beyond that are the beautiful Kyoto hills and tops of temples peaking out. Tatami room was wonderfully cozy. Furniture and linens were quality. Stayed super warm inside. We miss it already!!

Staying at Wasaike's House Machiya has been a pleasure. A beautiful, traditional machiya with all the modern amenities. We felt entirely at home. It was very comfortable with well equipped kitchen etc. Wasaike is very helpful and we will definitely recommend this place.

Our stay in Osaka was great. Pro : beautiful area,7-11 nearby (like 50 meters), has elevator,lots of amenities, spacious room for 4 people,host was very responsive,check in & out were very easy Con : Not really a con but the room located near hospital we did hear ambulances pretty frequently at night. It didn't ruin the stay but it's something to be aware of. Overall,a solid and reliable place!!

Wonderful experience staying at Villa Mitoreya. It's not your usual Airbnb, it's a lot more. The house is amazingly built with beautiful views and Tsuyoshi was an excellent host. He was present to welcome us, he went out of his way to drive us to a nearby restaurant so we didn't have to worry about parking and having a drink. His breakfast were delicious with many small details. It was like having a personal chef at home. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and watching the local train pass in front of the house. It was like being in a Ghibli movie.

this is a most amazing place we have ever stayed with air bnb, kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking stuff and even various seasoning, bedrooms are superb.... Children have plenty of space inside the building and backyard for running, the space is more than enough for our 12 people group. ......... Perfect.......

Spacious, elegantly furnished and very peaceful. We loved the house and its location - right next to the Tōdai-ji temple and the Deer Park. We had a bit of an issue entering the house as the code given to us was incorrect … but was just a little hiccup in our overall stay. I would wholeheartedly recommend this house to anyone coming to Nara. We stayed 3 days and we could have definitely stayed longer!

Cross the road and you'll find Lake Biwa!It's the best location There are plenty of rooms and beds, so I think it's best for about 3 families There is only one bath, so if you have a large family, I think it would be a good idea to plan a nearby hot spring from the start There are quite a few amenities, seasonings, etc. If you check in advance, they will be kind and accommodating. I had a really pleasant time

Stay here, you won't regret it! Lovely place, easy to get to by car and awesome host who's cheerfully helpful! I could see it getting a little cold especially during winter, however, the heating options are extensive and more than adequate, we found.

A lovely authentic Japanese home. Well designed with all of the essentials. A nice quiet neighborhood close to amenities and the city center.
