Vacation rentals in Muxagata

We had a family vacation at Jesse's beautiful farmhouse situated among the vineyards with breathtaking views and lovely yard and pool. It was a great home base for us as we explored the beautiful Duoro Valley and would recommend to anyone looking for a Portugal get-away!

Gorgeous cottage and location is amazing. Douro Valley is one of the most special places in the world. History, wine and Port wine. We brought food and did our own thing. Location is good 30 min + to special places.

My family and I had a lovely time at Quinta do Vale da Ermida. Very quiet and peaceful location with a stunning view, especially from the pool. Very spacious and equipped with all the amenities we required for our stay. Last but not least, Catarina was always very responsive, helpful, and proactive in her communication with us. Would definitely recommend!

Phillipa and Paul were absolutely lovely to work with and their property is unbelievable! We felt like we owned a Quinta for a few nights! we got to explore the property, visit with Paul and one of their sons, and savor the beauty of the Douro. They were proactive with communication and sourced a number of wonderful adventures, activities and meals. Without their guidance our trip would have been less fun!

This was the most magical place for our family of five. I now want to come back and try all of Miguel’s other properties. A true highlight was taking advantage of the connections to local vendors that come with the hosts recommendations. Private dinner at the Pinta Lounge was amazing . I said to my husband at one point , “ I am so happy I could cry” - that sums up this cottage.

A great house to be very quiet 8 people. It is very equipped and has no lack of a detail to be quiet. Quiet area 5m from freeway. We have been in winter but this house in summer will be worthy to enjoy it to the fullest. Communication with Sonia has always been very quick and attentive to everything we needed.

We loved staying here and would like to again! The house was just as described and within walking distance to local grocery stores and restaurants. I loved waking up to see the beautiful fog roll in over the mountains and a herd of sheep doing their morning grazing. When it rains you can see the river from the balcony and it creates a relaxing sound. We also enjoyed getting cozy in front of the fireplace at night. More than anything, we appreciated António’s mother, who was very sweet and brought us pastries and chocolates. António was very kind and answered any questions we had right away. His father was nice as well! The cleaning service after two weeks was also a lovely touch. This place is a perfect getaway if you are looking to de-stress and be near nature and friendly people. The only thing I will note is if you are coming in winter it can be a bit cold (not surprising-it is winter!) so bring some warmer comfort clothes to wear around the house.

Great hosting. The apartment is very comfortable, with all the necessary equipment. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the historic center, markets and good restaurants (highlight the Bella Ciao pizzeria). Easy to park in front of the apartment or very close by, on the main street. The reception was excellent, the Cati was very welcoming and friendly, showed us the whole place and gave us tips about the city, as well as having left bread, butter, milk, juice and various other products available for our stay. Thank you!!! It will certainly be our choice if we return to Ciudad Rodrigo.

Luisa is a great host: very kind and friendly! She has surprised us with a rich breakfast full of local veggies from the garden and traditional bread from the region. Her suggestions have also helped us to come with a road trip plan for the next day. Very picturesque scenery, great views, comfortable, thoughtful and cozy house with modern equipment and stylish furniture. Everything was clean and functioned amazingly. We were more than satisfied! If we come back to Douro Valley again, we'd definitely make a stop there again!
