There are bus stops to Edinburgh (approximately 50 mins) and the coastal towns of East Lothian just outside your front door. Self check in makes arrival more flexible. Strictly no smoking or pets.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". Approx 8 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 2 miles from Portabello. Musselburgh Race Course is a short walk away, Musselburgh high street a 5 minute walk, Gullane and other golf courses nearby. The water tower is a bespoke home in an historic building sensitively converted by its architect owner. The tower is located in the historic town of Dalkeith and the settlement of Eskbank. 20 minutes by car from Edinburgh airport. A bus service into Edinburgh stops every 10- 15 minutes, the bus stop is a 2 minute walk away. 25 minutes by rail to the Scottish Borders or to the centre of Edinburgh from the local Eskbank Train Station, a 20 minute walk from the tower.

Nearby, you’ll find Dalkeith Country Park (just 0.8 miles away) for scenic walks and adventure, plus Portobello Beach (5.4 miles), perfect for a seaside escape. Quiet, yet close to everything — your perfect retreat.

Perfect 4 bedroom 2 bathroom Home

Portobello Beach is 15 minute walk away which is a must see especially with kids they will love it in all weathers. Buses (every 10 minutes) stop at end of the street to city centre which takes about 15/20 minutes. Co-op, post office, and various takeaways at end of street. Travel cot available if needed NO parties we will be contacted to deal with any noise at the property as we only live a few minutes away. Ring doorbell has been set up to monitor this.

If your a golfer there is lots off famous golf course’s close by . And if you love walking the John Muir walk is on our door step . There is a few pubs and shops just a walk away .
