Cabin vacation rentals in Murphys

We had a vacation stay with another family and we both enjoyed Casey's place! It is nestled in the woods and the pine trees all around adds to its serenity feeling. The cabin was spacious, with wooden floor and generous offering of beds, sofas, tables and chairs. The second floor with the tipped ceiling even gave a vibe of the Swiss Chalet which we really loved. We were also offered the opportunity of relaxing in the hot tub which we ended up not using, but the patio itself is already a great bonus, suitable for a tranquil dinner or for just sitting around the fire pit in the evening. The check in/check out instruction was clear and easy to follow and Casey was really responsive to our needs and questions. We recommend this place 5 star!:)

Creating memories with adult children who are living their own lives can be hard to schedule. We found the perfect opportunity for a quick weekend getaway hosted by Leif. What we thought we were getting was a house big enough to host our group. What we got, was so much more! As soon as you walk into the space, you realize that the pictures you saw on the posting do not do justice to the real thing. You’re transported into another era where life slows down and you realize the simplest of things are the really important things: like family. My children especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet Leif’s animals and feed them rinds and banana peels. Peanut was the star of the show ( if you know, you know). Thank you, Leif, for a beautiful weekend that provided a much needed respite, but offered so much more than we were expecting. We can’t wait to come back and make this a family tradition though next time we will stay longer and be more prepared with our animal food supplies : )

We really enjoyed the cabin and it was great to have the hot tub. Sheila is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations. We would definitely return!

This is a beautiful cabin & it was equipped with everything we needed for a great stay! It’s a bit closer to the road/less secluded than I originally thought. However, since there’s virtually ZERO light pollution at night & a few massive trees between the deck and the road, we still felt secluded and cozy by the fire in the evenings. Another bonus was running into multiple deer grazing the property each day! Finding the property was a little confusing due to the controlled exit gates, but it was our fault for ignoring the hosts exact instructions. Nate will send you specific driving instructions from the main gate — do not trust your gps or you will be running in circles!! Overall this was a lovely stay! Thanks Nate :)

Our stay at Ponderosa Pines was wonderful! The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to a relaxing hot tub. The location was perfect for exploring local attractions, and we loved the access to Twain Harte Lake. Overall, a fantastic retreat – we can’t wait to come back!

I loved the place, simply amazing. Place of great tranquility, ideal for those who are looking for rest. We will definitely come back more often.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful and restorative weekend away at Elizabeth’s cabin. We loved the decor, well stocked kitchen, and relaxing among the trees in the hot tub. Elizabeth was an excellent host and quick to respond. We also appreciated her local recommendations for wine tasting and hikes. Awesome gem in Camp Connell and would love to stay again.

This cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Huge hot tub on a wraparound deck that had a fence so our dog could be outside but not free on the property. Wood burning furnace inside was a favorite feature for my husband and I. Our dog loved laying in front of the fire. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

This was our second stay at Jennifer’s cabin and our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stays each time. We really appreciate the clear instructions provided, and the cozy cabin like feel is something we always look forward to. Thank you Jennifer!

Amazing stay at this adorable cabin! Check-in was easy, I appreciated the keypad lock for easy entry on arrival. We brought our little dogs and they loved running around the fully fenced yard. The house was warm and rooms were comfortable. Rob was responsive and helpful. Nice location with trees all around but plenty of neighbors so you don't feel isolated. Nickel slot machine and pool table were so fun! The bathrooms are very nice. The only small issue we encountered, was that we got a little lost arriving to the house on the first night, due to our late arrival and it being dark so we couldn't see street signs/ markers clearly. I recommend using Google Maps to arrive, Apple Maps took us to the wrong location. Looking back I could see that Rob's directions were very accurate, I just misread them. The house is right in the area where Kewin Mill Rd. and W. Brookside Drive connect, right near Estralita Dr. if that's helpful to anyone. Thanks for everything and for the lovely stay Rob!

We had a great stay over the weekend. The place was peaceful and it had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and gave timely instructions on the check in and check out process. Overall a good stay to just relax and be around nature!

Great cabin in a beautiful location. Highly recommend.

This A frame was perfect! Great set up for a group of people since there are 2.5 bathrooms. The beds were so comfortable with good sheets and towels. Kitchen had everything I needed, including cast iron pans. Andy was extremely responsive and was very kind to give us an extra hour at check out with the time change. Would happily book this place again and hope to in the summer to enjoy all the swimming spots they suggested.

We had 6 girls for a lil reunion trip and it was so fun. This home was so spacious and gorgeous. We loved being so in nature and the big windows make you feel outside even from the couch. Great hosts and no complaints whatsoever! Really easy check in & check out, a binder with lots of recommendations too, and plenty of TP paper towels kitchen utensils etc for us to use. Thank you!

Such a beautifully done bungalow! Super cute decor and cozy. Perfect spot to land after a day at the lake or exploring Twain Harte. Host was very communicative, friendly and accommodating.

We loved staying here and would come back as soon as we could. We find many airbnbs do not live up to the quality they advertise. However, this gem is more than worth a stay. We did not leave the area all weekend because we wanted to soak up every minute. The cabin is incredibly clean, well maintained, and as shown in photos. The hosts are extremely responsive and catered to any requests we had immediately. I cannot wait to come back soon and hopefully for longer!

What a hidden Gem! We stayed here for three days for my daughter’s 16th Birthday weekend with her girlfriends. It was such a wonderful time. Jennifer’s home was absolutely perfect. The beds were super comfy and the whole house was so spacious. Her attention to detail and the way she made each room so comfortable and homey was beyond perfect. The location and beautiful surroundings make me wish it was my own home! Thank you for everything! Can’t wait to come back! ❤️

Jessica‘s place is super cute. The pictures published don’t do it justice. The house was super clean and very accommodating. Use Google maps instead of Apple Map when arriving the first time. Also, screenshot the check-in instructions as you may not have service once you arrive to the house.

The location is amazing. We loved sitting on the deck sipping tea in the afternoon, smelling the pines, and feeling like we were in the forest. It’s a very calm and relaxing place. We enjoyed visiting Brice Station for wine tasting (with a pottery studio next to it), walking around Murphys, hiking the Arnold Rim Trail, and stopping at the Red Apple farm stand for fresh fruit and pastries. I found the kitchen easy to cook in. The living room is cozy. The stairs have already been mentioned; we found we were OK as long as we went up and down them very slowly. Also the quirkiness of the stairs is offset by the affordable price. The immediate neighborhood was a great place to walk our dog.

We had an excellent stay at the Tranquil Cabin. Jenny and Matt provided excellent instructions and responded quickly to our questions. The cabin and amenities were as described. We enjoyed exploring the nearby attractions during the day and relaxing in the evening at the cabin. Kids loved the cabin, especially the rooms and smores each night. Minimum complaining from the kids equals a win! Thank you Jenny and Matt!!

Perfect location, halfway between 2 sections of Arnold businesses and very close to highway 4 but just far enough to avoid highway noise. We’ve stayed a few places in Arnold and we all agreed that this was our favorite. Two of the bathrooms are big and very well stocked with whatever you might need. The third bathroom is very small and at the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms but still nice to have separate bathrooms for 3 unrelated travelers. Well equipped large kitchen. All appliances worked well and pots were in excellent condition. Gas BBQ worked well. Nice looking TV and games but we were too tired after hiking and shopping to use them. Lovely setting to sit on the deck or in the living room and chat. Easy to get to a variety of hiking areas and quick drive to Murphys for dinner out and shopping in unique shops.

Had a truly lovely stay. The cabin has everything you need and is the perfect spot to spend a few nights away and unplug. And it's so cute! Plus loved having access to the nearby lake and the state park is super close! Highly recommend!

Growing up in the country to moving to a big city, having this location really brought me back to being a kid. Quiet yet close enough to civilization.

The place was very comforable for us and at a convenient location to visit nearby (a) Calaveras Big Trees State Park (b) White Pines Lake (c) Moaning Caverns and Mercer Caverns. The necessary amenities were provided. Note that most mobile networks don't work in Arnold city, so be sure to download instructions including the address and entry information, which will only be sent closer to your check-in time.
