Lovely place with beautiful scenery, very peaceful. Fernworthy Reservoir is definitely a worth a visit! Hosts are very responsive.

Springfield cottage is a special place to stay and Sonia is an exceptional host. We also fell in love with Chagford and were very taken by the friendliness of everyone we met in the village. As a location to go hiking, Springfield cottage offers great access to local walks from the door, taking in river valleys and stepping stones, rolling hills, and (of course) the moorland. And at the end of a long day there is some truly excellent food in the village. The Globe Inn is a real highlight, although we did find that we needed to book a day in advance to guarantee a table.

We had a lovely few days here. The location is absolutely beautiful, with easy access to the moors and Chagford. The cottage itself is perfect for two, immaculately set up with everything you need and a very generous welcome package. Couldn’t recommend highly enough for a peaceful escape.
