Beach Villa at "Elements Beach & Nature Resort"

Samith was extremely helpful and responsive. The hotel is beautiful and we chose to stay in the stylish wooden beach chalets. As an eco lodge, there is no air conditioning but the fans and chalets were perfectly cool. There is also no heated water but so the showers are warmer in the afternoon on a hot day but cold all day if it’s a cloudy day! Kalpitiya is very windy, and therefore, a great destination for kite surfing which was really fun, even for a beginner! It is a great alternative if you want some peace and quiet. The food was fantastic, especially if you happen to be there for their bbq nights which has seasonal produce including fresh fish, squid, prawns, chicken etc. The only slight criticism is that some stretches of beach are littered with plastic, which is common to other parts of Sri Lanka, although it is clear that the hotel has made efforts to go green and I would thoroughly recommend it!
A decorative waterfall feature cascades gently, surrounded by lush greenery and tropical plants. The area is enhanced by stone seating, inviting relaxation in a tranquil outdoor setting. A covered patio is visible in the background, providing a shaded spot to enjoy the natural beauty.

Wind Blend Garden Cabana

VickyRating, 5 stars81 months ago
General: I had a lovely stay here in this beautiful resort, centrally located in the Kaplitiya village. Everything here in Wind Blend Kite is intricately designed and built carefully. You can observe this from their rooftop common rest area down to each and every single cabana room. They built it around the coconut and been trees without chopping any down. The owner has planted different trees and flowers around the entire resort. Fruits served in breakfast came from their garden e.g wood apple, passion fruit, pineapple and papaya. Since this resort isn’t in a secluded area, it is surrounded by friendly neighbours. Sometimes it could get loud and busy in the morning. Room: Each room is named after the flowers they have planted outside the fence. I like the mosquito net in my bedroom and a lovely wood basin at the bathroom. The shower is a water pipe creatively connected through a shell and mermaid’s head statue. It was good water temperature despite there is no water heater system. Although it doesn’t have air conditioner, there is a good breeze and air circulated in the room. Watch for the beautiful lotus planted outside the room too... it only blossom in day time. Staff: Everyone here in the resort is extremely friendly and thoughtful. They speak good level of English to communicate with us. So there is no communication barrier at all. You could feel their service is extended from their hearts. Food: It’s quite a challenge to find restaurants outside the resort. We are thankful the local food served in Wind Blend is absolutely amazing! It’s usually rice (not jasmine/ basmati grains) served with few dishes, mostly vegetables and Dahl. Seafood order is a must since we are at a fishing village! Activities: Most people come here to kiteboard. We also did some kayaking and cycling around the village. Bicycles are available for use. Kayaking can be arranged by Sudath. If you don’t want to do any sports outdoor, reading a book while lying in the hammock at the coconut cove would be nice too! Tips: You may be approached by the neighbouring children. Asking “Hey, your name?” “Husband?”Just relax and feel comfortable with them. I wasn’t used to the blunt and direct question in the beginning. Why there is not even May I or Please. People here generally speak Tamil. They don’t have good command of English, they are just being friendly, wanted to be cool with you.
