We had an awesome stay on this place, the views are stunning from the moment you get there. If you are looking for a cozy, stress free place, far from the noise and chaos from the city it's a great location. Of course you will need a car to move around.

Our stay at Andreas’ beautifully restored ancient house in Aptera was nothing short of magical. Every corner of the home has been carefully restored, maintaining its authentic charm. Andreas was an exceptional host! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome, offering helpful tips about the local area and ensuring we had everything we needed - even some food in the refrigerator! The location in Aptera is ideal for anyone looking to explore Crete’s natural beauty and ancient sites. We loved the peaceful surroundings, with easy access to stunning views, historical landmarks, and nearby beaches. In addition, there are three taverns in Aptera with great food and hospitality.

I would give this more than five stars if I could. Anna’s place was kept neat and tidy and had EVERYTHING you could need from laundry detergent to fresh fruit. Anna is a great communicator and checked in on us throughout our stay, she kindly left laminated sheets of all her recommendations within the apartment! The view is breathtaking and feels very private. The location is impeccable, Aptera is very beautiful and close to many different adventures! Whether that be Hiking, eating good food, visiting the beach, seeing historical landmarks or enjoying some local wines in the countryside with stunning views, it has everything Crete has to offer! Wow! What a beautiful place, highly recommend! You definitely need a car to get around Crete. There were many beaches near this Airbnb if you don’t feel like driving the 40+ minutes to the coast but def do it at least once! We loved watching the sunset from the backyard which is a shared space but still feel private. Chrysi is very hands on and welcoming loved meeting her! If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is it!
