Ideal for the adventurous outdoors type only! Small minimalist A-frame cabin in the woods, overlooking Taunton Bay. A short but steep 1 minute hike to the cabin makes it feel even more secluded. Tandem kayak on the bay 2 minute walk away. Queen sleeping loft accessible only by ladder, 3/4 bath, efficient kitchen, 42" TV/DVD player, games. On a quiet private road 30 minutes to Acadia national park. 10 minutes to Ellsworth. NO WIFI. Calender is ACCURATE, check before messaging!

Couldn’t be happier with our stay! Michelle was a great host and the property was everything we wanted and more. We honestly found ourselves spending more time just enjoying the property and the surroundings then some of our planned activities. It was truly hard to leave and we would come back and stay in a heart beat!

This Airbnb was a perfect spot for a couple to explore all of Mount Desert Island . We stayed for 6 nights and experienced Maine’s beautiful fall foliage. It was exactly as described - peaceful and private - away from busy bar harbor - but easy enough 15 min drive to and from and to Park entrance. we enjoyed the fire pit, cozy living area and used the kitchen to cook in after busy days on the trail … would highly recommend. And Traveling Lobster right down the road is amuse for Best Lobster Rolls !

We loved our stay at the cabin! Slept better than we do back home. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, but this was a perfect location for us to have as a base for 2 nights surrounding our day spent at Acadia Nat’l Park (only an hour away!). Beautiful property and surroundings, truly loved the outdoor shower in nature. Most pristine camping toilet I’ve ever seen, bar none! Hosts do a great job maintaining cleanliness between guests. Would absolutely stay here again.

We loved our stay at David and Bill’s place. Really beautifully built cabin with a studio space ideal for a couple. It had everything we needed for a long weekend, close to the town of Blue Hill for groceries and just an hour from Acadia. We loved how serene and quiet this spot is with just the three cabins tucked off the street and water across the way. Simple, clean, well-appointed, 1st class!

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

A great spot! We were on a trip around Maine and stayed here for 2 nights and it was great! Everything was exactly as described. We enjoyed the fact that the cabin did not have a tv and we’re able to spend more family time together without the distraction of the tv on the wall. It was too cold to enjoy the kayaks but that was definitely a major selling point for us! The set up and launch for them was very easy should we have utilized them! Everything seemed to be thought out very well!

A great option for an Acadia trip without breaking the bank. We stayed here for a weekend in Acadia and loved it. The cabin is super cute, the bathrooms are well-made, and you get the nature living with some key nearby amenities. Rachael and Trevor are super sweet and have really built a special place... and are continuing to better the property as they shared with us some of their future ideas. We would definitely return!

This was a last minute rental and Andrew was able to accommodate us in a very short window. Although it was definitely “campy”, the place was homey and well loved. We enjoyed the tranquility of the lake and the house’s proximity to Acadia. It was also great for our dogs who were able to explore outside without getting in anybody’s way.
