The road to the top of the island is narrow in places, so you need to be careful if you are driving a large car. However, the scenery and atmosphere were wonderful, so it was worth it.

5 stars – an unforgettable stay! This place was absolutely perfect, and our host truly went above and beyond. I’ve stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, but this was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was spot on—the house smelled amazing, music was playing, and it felt so warm and welcoming. The home looked exactly like the photos, if not better, and had everything we needed. Our host was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire stay. They helped us organise a hire car, let us borrow towels for an outing, and were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, making everything so smooth and stress-free. If you’re considering where to stay—look no further. This is the place. I absolutely loved it, and the host made it an experience I’ll never forget.

I stayed with my grandparents and 3-year-old son.I enjoyed the warm log house, which also had toys and picture books for children to play with. It was the last trip for my son to have his beloved grandparents to himself before he became an older brother.During the stay, the grandparents seemed very happy to be able to relax.Thanks for the wonderful breakfast too!

Great base for exploring Okinawa if you have a car. Very friendly reception from the hosts. Close to restaurants, Lawsons (10 minute walk), and an easy drive to the various nice beaches on the Onna coast. The garden is very pleasant and our kids enjoyed playing in it.

It's a very pretty house with a yard where you can feel the owner's touch~ My baby loved it while jumping around and seeing the trees, flowers, and snails:) I had a good stay without lacking anything in the house before heading out! We are a family of three with a baby, so we slept in the tatami room, so we didn't use the second floor, but I think it would be a good accommodation option even when visiting with a large family!

The property is simply a dream – beautifully located and furnished with so much love for detail. We really lacked nothing! Even the little ones were thought of: Toys for our baby were also there and made our stay even more relaxing. A very special highlight was the warm hostess Kirstin. She not only welcomed us with open arms, but even showed us her mango farm – a great experience! As a small gift, she gave us fresh organic carrots. You really rarely meet such lovely people. The campfire in the evening was a real highlight for us. Shiro was so kind and provided us with the wood for it (for a small surcharge) – the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing end to the day. We wish you all the best from the bottom of our hearts – and if we travel to Okinawa again, we will definitely be happy to come back.

This house is very clean and well equipped. The owner is very nice and communicative too. You can hear the ocean which was very calming and peaceful. We had rainy days, but there are games/books you can enjoy. I and my family enjoyed Papillons’s house so much and would love to come back again. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay! The place was exactly like the pictures—big, beautiful, and very clean. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. The setting was incredible, surrounded by lush greenery that made us feel like we were in the middle of a jungle. It was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! We were in Tokyo and Osaka for a few days and this little oasis and peaceful retreat was exactly what we needed. We didn’t plan our transportation very well, so definitely get a car so you can drive to places. We were able to walk to a few spots and even to our Blue Cave tour so that was no problem! All our worries melted away here. Eddie even offered to drive us somewhere if we needed so the host ratings are top notch! Thank you Eddie and we can’t wait to come back one day!

Surrounded by a garden, the house sits in a private, quiet place near nature with good views. I especially enjoyed the moments in the morning when I sat down at the wooden balcony facing the garden, sipped my coffee and slowly ate breakfast. The interior of the house is done with good taste. Very clean, aesthetically appealing. It is well furnished with kitchen utensils (cooking was unnecessary as the food in Okinawa is so great) and washing machine. Mr Hidetsugu, the host, kindly offered early check-in free of charge. We arrived in the evening, but appreciated his kind gesture anyway. I hope he will put a sign near the pottery shop, because our GPS said we arrived, but we still needed to drive up a bit. So it took us a few minutes to figure out. I wish Hidetsugusan a great success in running this bnb. We also enjoyed visiting Okinawa tremendously. The sea, the beaches, the turquoise water are pristine.

This was a great weekend getaway with a few friends. We each had our own space, but could hang out together in the courtyard area or in the RV. The courtyard was well maintained with grass. Our two Yorkies loved running around. It feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, but with a relaxing ocean view and easy access to restaurants, stores, and things to do within 10 minutes by car. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

Bear and his wife are the loveliest people. They make you feel so welcome, from the moment you step into their home they make you feel like family. They will go out of their way to help you and make sure your stay is as good as it can be. They are incredibly friendly and super happy. The house is in a great location away from the hustle and bustle but still has everything well within walking distance. I am sad to be leaving them but I will be sure to be back here. Cannot recommend it enough, 10/10

My plan was to stay for a night but end up with staying for 4nights instead.why? Because their hospitality is just next level that I wanted to spend more time with them. Their knowledge of Okinawa island is so outstanding. They will offer to take you to such a beautiful place and amazing restaurants.( you can sign up for tours) So thankful that I got to meet and spend time with bear, Aya and other guests:) Highly recommend!! Just an amazing stay. The place is in the middle of paradise and Taiga will make sure you feel like family right away. The accommodations combine a convivial hostel feel with more private appartements. So much to do and taste all around the region, including half a dozen really good restaurants and bento places within a 20 minute walk. Taiga will also let you use a bicycle and you can get right to your favourite beach or hiking trail.

Very spacious house and it near to the bus stop. The owner was very kind and considerate when we faced issues that was our fault. I do love the attic space! Highly recommended this place if you guys thought about exploring Onna district:)
