What an amazing stay! This cozy guest house was absolutely perfect for our time in the Lake District. We particularly appreciated the quiet surroundings and the lovely details that included a very generous and tasty welcome basket. The suite was well appointed with beautiful linens, a hot shower and a very comfortable bed. Alister was very quick to respond to our messages and all of his recommendations were spot on. We especially loved the Buttermere and Ullswater hikes. The only thing we would have changed was to have booked a longer stay. Thanks, Ali, for a fabulous experience!

Beautifully converted fruit store for the castle - very peaceful and relaxing, with a short walk to Greystoke village and the castle. Hazel & Ian are very friendly and welcoming, and their gardens are spectacular!

From the moment I arrived, Jon was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The accommodations were spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—close to local attractions yet quiet enough for a peaceful retreat. I loved the little personal touches Jon added, such as a welcome basket with snacks and a detailed guide to the area that made exploring so much easier. Communication with Jon was seamless; he was always available to answer any questions and offered great recommendations for dining and activities. It genuinely felt like staying with a friend rather than a host. I highly recommend Jon's place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway. I can’t wait to return for another stay!

Perfect location for lots of Lake District walks. 4 mins from a farmshop and hot food which was great! Lovely place, perfect size for a couple and two dogs. Very easy to find and get in with the contactless check in. Kelly was very proactive and gave clear instructions prior to check in
