Lovely rooms and view. Location isn’t ideal, you’ll certainly need a car to get everywhere. Key attractions around 40-60 min drive on average.

Excellent hosting! The truth is that the place was much nicer than I expected, the room or rather the entire accommodation is quite large. There are many things to do around it, and the value for money is very good

Words and pictures can not properly describe this absolutely gorgeous property, you truly need to visit and experience it yourself. The only thing better than the natural beauty of Casa Del Rio, is the staff. They're informative, polite, well spoken and lovely people, from the wait staff at the restaurant, the lovely front desk attendants to the groundskeepers, every interaction we had was memorable. If you love nature, peaceful surroundings, but still be close enough to La Fortuna to enjoy everything this gorgeous province has to offer, don't overlook Casa Del Rio.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Having Curi Cancha right next door was amazing. Beautiful landscape and a wonderful home that felt cozy and warm.

Lovely place. Utterly beautiful gardens and surroundings. Best of all, Oscar was a gem! He was so friendly and helpful but without being intrusive in any way. When we forgot a bag at a previous stay, he arranged for its prompt delivery and made the whole thing stress free. Wholeheartedly recommend Casa Balbi.

Highly recommend this place to stay in Monteverde! The host was super welcoming when we arrived and was kind throughout. The place is as described with a beautiful view overlooking the mountains which allowed for a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. To note, having a car or using taxi’s is most likely needed to stay here. There wasn’t really any restaurants or places to walk to without driving into the main township.

An absolutely idealic location and only a 5 minute walk from all the restaurants and shops of downtown. Once inside the home, you are transported to a bougie treehouse amongst the forest. Plenty of space for a family or group of friends. Kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Including the great Costa Rican coffee. Be on the lookout for animals day and night. We saw a ton of animals including 4 capuchin monkeys playing in the trees. Great find!!!

This place is such a hidden gem! It’s in a peaceful mountain area with stunning views—perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle. The building itself has a really unique and artistic style, which makes it stand out, and it’s just as beautiful inside. The property is spacious, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. Pedro, the host, was very responsive and friendly, which made the experience even better. I’ve already recommended this place to a few friends, and I’ll definitely be keeping it in mind for a return trip. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay in Monteverde! Beth & Manolo’s place is so cozy we felt relaxed and at home. The view from the porch is incredible. Beth was super helpful in helping us with directions proactively to find the house safely (as the drive from La Fortuna is an adventure). Zaida greeted us with warm banana bread (as Beth was traveling). Manolo was a great host. We enjoyed a tour through the magical cloud forest with him as well as a night walk through a local reserve. He helped us spot three resplendent quetzal as well as a mom & baby sloth (amongst numerous other treasures). Book this Airbnb if you want to feel comfortable, safe, & enjoy Monteverde!

Casa de Tania was the perfect place to start our Costa Rican adventure. It’s just a little outside the main town of Monteverde and super peaceful right in the heart of nature; hard to leave the balcony/hammock! The house was stocked with everything you need to be comfortable and cook full meals. Hotel Belmar was a 5 min walk- the brewery and restaurant had live music some of the nights. There are restaurants and supermarkets all very close. Selvatura (where they have zip lining, etc.) was only about a 20 min drive. Highly recommend staying here!

This home is amazing! You feel like you are staying in a tree house! Way more beautiful than the pictures show! Peaceful yet close to everything too! 10/10!

Daiana’s home was wonderful. We only spent 24 hours in Monteverde and we are so glad we chose this house. Our host was accommodating with a late check out, always responsive, the house is well appointed and it was such a beautiful place. Loved our time here! Phenomenal view!

We had a fantastic stay at Campbell House. The house itself was clean and comfortable, and the surroundings absolutely stunning - we enjoyed watching agoutis, coatis, toucans, hummingbirds and a whole host of other wildlife from our breakfast table! The place is right on the edge of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, and just a short distance away from Monteverde and Santa Elena. Federico was a great host, super helpful and responsive, and it was great to hear about his family history in the area. All in all we can’t recommend this place highly enough!

An amazing stay in Monteverde! Close to Santa Elena which has stores, restaurants, and accessibility to different tours. The view from the space was incredible, you could see all the way to the Gulf of Nicoya when the fog dispersed. Alex, who welcomed us, had great suggestions for restaurants and tours. He even guided us on a tour of the a Cloud Forest. Highly recommend!

Loved the treehouse! This house specifically we were glad we chose! Others were farther into the forest (longer walk with belongings) and another we had to walk by to get to our place (less private) so ours was the perfect spot for us! The only downside is very very bright in the morning, but well worth it to be surrounded by wildlife! We had monkeys and capybaras come in the late afternoons to say hello which was the reason we wanted to stay here!

We enjoyed 2 nights here, the kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed eating our breakfast on the patio. We saw 2 different kinds of friendly cat-sized animals. Some had long striped tails probably from the raccoon family. The location is perfect, close to restaurants and a coffee shop. I would stay here again.

The view was great, and the apartment was cozy and clean. It does get a bit cold, so the small heater was helpful. Also Jessy answered super quick to our questions. Be aware: the shower bar is quite low. Also, the road up to the apartment is steep and bumpy, and parking can be a bit difficult.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb — the views were absolutely breathtaking, and waking up to the sound of capuchin monkeys in the mornings was a surreal and unforgettable experience. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well thought out — everything we needed for a relaxing jungle escape. One thing to note: you’re in the jungle, and that comes with some trade-offs. We did have quite a few bugs find their way inside — at one point, hundreds gathered on a wall. It wasn’t ideal, but honestly not surprising given the location. Also, the walk down to the Airbnb includes a bit of a trek with stairs, so be prepared for a small hike in and out. That said, the peaceful setting, stunning nature, and wildlife made it all 100% worth it. If you’re looking for a real Costa Rican jungle experience with a touch of comfort and great scenery, this place delivers. Would absolutely recommend — just bring bug spray and good shoes!
