House vacation rentals in Monteverde

We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Gisela. The property is immaculately cared for with incredible views. The house guidebook was full of excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. We can’t wait to visit again someday!!

We had an amazing time at this property! The house was incredible. The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special. One of the most memorable moments was when a toucan came to visit us right on the property. We were lucky enough to snap some photos. Hopefully I can upload them here somehow. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. Ana was very responsive and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. if you are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended and would love to come back.

We had an amazing stay here! The location was easy to find and not too far from the airport. There were definitely lots of local stores and restaurants to visit near by. We recommend Resturante Ross! The views especially early morning were amazing overall we have no complaints. Our favorite part was visiting the farm animals! Oscar was so nice and welcoming.

We had a fantastic stay! Jose was incredibly friendly and made our trip even more memorable with a fun, kid-friendly, professional horseback riding tour of his farm—it was definitely a highlight of the trip! The kids absolutely loved spending time in the pool and hot tub! Highly recommend this spot for families looking for a relaxing and welcoming getaway!

We loved staying at Casa Santa Fe! We even wish we could go back because our time there felt too short. When we arrived we had complementary platano chips and traditional Costa Rica drinks waiting for us. The space was very clean and made us feel comfortable. The pool was amazing and a great addition! We enjoyed our nights in watching TV together on the couch on rainy nights. As well as the variety of options of excursions to do and good restaurants to eat at! Danny was also very responsive and helpful, which we appreciated, it being our first time in Costa Rica. Even after our stay, he was helpful in offering us new options for another Airbnb when we needed it. We would definitely stay again!

I had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked with everything I needed. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay. The location was perfect—close to town but still quiet and relaxing. Great location!! We saw sloths on our first day, it’s like they came to help Randall get us checked in! Several species of birds including toucans! The volcano view was amazing and made for the perfect backdrop to playing in the pool. House was amazing with all the amenities you would need. We had a great time and would gladly stay again!

Great place close to all La Fortuna activities. Felt very safe. Quick response with questions. Very helpful. Highly recommend

Great place and beautiful surroundings

We had The Best time @ the Maple House! The location was just what we were hoping it would be. Everyone loved the house and the surrounding area We have only been home for a week but we are missing our time in Monteverde So much. If you have a chance to book a private wildlife tour with Dulce don’t hesitate to book it. My husband said that it was the best day of the whole trip and as we were standing on a bridge in Treetopia for 2 hours waiting to spot the Resplendent Quetzal my sis looked at me and asked When we were coming back! Very pleased with the place and the attention of Keylin and her mom. We were able to observe a lot of bird species in the morning and at night we slept very comfortably, this place is 10/10.

Great stay in Monteverde. So many wonderful birds and in such a beautiful, quiet location. Basic amenities, but had what we needed. David met us and showed us the trail system which was great (especially the waterfall trail).

We can't say enough good about our stay at Kris & Marie's peaceful oasis. They were instrumental in planning for our 3 days in Monteverde, always quick to respond to the questions we had. (And we had a lot:)) They gave us great suggestions for tours, hikes and restaurants... some of the best experiences we had on our trip to Costa Rica, memories we will carry forever! The accommodation itself was perfect, as was the location. Not right in town but close enough with a SUV to get everywhere we needed to go. The roads were rough is areas but added to the adventure. The view from Casa Cabuya was out of this world...it's a birdwatchers paradise! We would not hesitate to stay next time we visit Monteverde, it's a magical place! Thank you so much for everything<3

We had a fantastic stay at David's place in Monteverde! The spacious house has large bedrooms and bathrooms, and our group of 7 felt right at home. The safe surroundings gave us peace of mind. A highlight was the beautiful garden and terrace. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock, and playing foosball. The kitchen island and dining area were great for meals, and the fast WiFi kept us connected. David was super responsive and helpful, answering all our questions quickly. The property is easy to find, and the alarm system added extra security (even though the area felt very safe). If I had to be picky, the alarm system itself was a bit tricky to turn off (tip: use the remote control!). Also, while the house is private, it overlooks a street. The area isn’t busy, but motorbikes passing by could be noisy at night - a common thing in Costa Rica. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Monteverde. Thanks David for being a wonderful host!

Our family of 4 stayed at chabela's house for 5 nights. Everything was clean and homey, but not overland fancy. Doña Chabela was very helpful and responsive. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of blanket and pillows. The view from the back room was beautiful. It is a gorgeous location and very close to the reserva mobteverde, as well as a short but fun hike to down town monteverde, as well as the san luis valley. Overall, I really recommend the place especially if you like local homes that support families in the area. Great for families or groups who like their space.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The view was amazing. Everything we needed was there. Magarle’s super sweet cat spent a lot of time with us. We loved the hot tub at night after traveling or being on the go all day. Magarle was very kind and super helpful with suggestions. We had a couple issues with the hot water and she fixed it immediately. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely stay at Ed and DeAnna’s home. The kitchen was well stocked and the house had everything we needed. Hot tub was great. Instructions to find the house were spot on and Ed was very helpful and kind in answering a bunch of questions I had leading up to our trip. The climate was more challenging than I expected! I was very thankful for the dehumidifier and if there was a way to put one in the other bedroom, I think that would help with getting clothes and towels to dry out. I loved the privacy of the place and we were greeted by coatis almost immediately-they were great fun to watch. Thank you Ed and DeAnna, we had an awesome time!

Eva's place was incredibly peaceful and private with a beautiful, well tended garden out back. With the windows open, you don't feel the need for AC at all (it was very cool during our stay in early March.) The windows do not have any screens, which created a few humorous encounters with critters, but we had a great time. It is also a tricky/steep drive along rocky mountain roads to most places, but this seemed to be the case for everywhere here (except maybe in Santa Elena itself.) We had a great time and Eva was a great host.

This is a fantastic Airbnb! Looks exactly like the pictures, and the main area feels even bigger in person. The location is PERFECT; very close walking to plant restaurants and scenic viewpoints, but still feels quiet and peaceful. We both worked from home our whole week and the wifi was great. Warm shower, great laundry machine, very clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

My daughter and I loved staying at Tucantico. The place was spotless and roomy and was the first truly accessible place I have seen in Costa Rica. The kitchen had everything we needed (including salt and oil) and the design of the place was perfect from the placement of lights and outlets to the warm blankets and the bed. My favorite place to sit was on the porch where I ate breakfast every morning. It is a very convenient location near the supermarket in Cerro Plano and only about a ten minute walk from the language school CPI. I hope to return one day.

Great spot just a few minutes from downtown. Off the main paved road just a bit so that you feel private and secluded but close enough where you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. House is comfortable and has all of your basic necessities. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a great value stay.

It was in an amazing setting. And we had a guide Dulce who took us on a night walk & day walk which was stunning. You have to want to be in the jungle with restaurants 10 minutes away. We love that! One tiny detail her father lives next door with barking dogs that were a drag sometimes. But other than that beautiful!

Practically brand-new house. Cute as can be. Up a big hill, but the town is so close and walkable - as long as you don’t mind a climb - it feels out of the chaos, but close to everything.

A beautiful place. As described. Very private and the pool is a 10, with its ideal temperature for the place. Everything super clean, well laid out and spacious. Super recommended. Important to know that they must register elsewhere, where access is obtained.
