Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Montes de Oca

Words can describe how friendly Beto and Javier way. Very accommodating and extremely helpful. I had an emergency one night and had to go to the hosptal. The unfortunate mistake I made is that I didn't learn Spanish before leaving the U.S. Thank God Beto was so kind, he drove me, communicated with the staff and waiting until i saw the doctor and drove us home. I am not sure what I would have done without his help (even though I have Google translate on my phone). Every morning there was fresh coffee and great breakfast that was different each day. The room is very small and so is the workspace, but managed ok. Good internet. Beto was so kind and very helpful - he even did a load of wash for me too. I met several of his friends who were also very nice. I can't say enough great things about my stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IT

Unity felt really like a home for me. I stayed there for 7 weeks and I made friends from all around the world. So if you don't want to be alone, there are always great people around :) And I really liked the offers like stretch classes, yoga, acroyoga, community dinners,..! The room is really beautiful and you often wake up with parrots and hummingbirds in front of the windows. But you have to get used to the lights from the street at night. I would definitely recommed this room in Unity for a stay in San José and I hope that I can come back soon!

Arleen’s house was amazing, even better than the photos. The house was large and comfortable. It was well stocked and easy to feel right at home. The garden & patio were beautiful and really made the home unique. It was so private & peaceful. Good location, with easy access to anywhere. Walking distance to good restaurants & Barrio Escalante. Communication with Arleen was always smooth & easy. She was very proactive & made sure I had all the information I needed for a great trip. 100% would recommend staying here!

Love this place! Note that you are in the middle of the community if you pick this specific room. If you crave privacy, there are other rooms - but for me, this is perfect 🥰 Take a Uber if you don’t want to walk! They are easy and pretty affordable 🙏 Felt really well taken care of as I arrived in the airport and Charlotte helped me to find my way to the place and got the room ready for me extra early - thank youuuu! 🙏🥳

Todo este apartamento es perfecto, tiene todo lo que podrías necesitar, está muy limpio, ordenado, huele muy bien. Tiene lavadora y secadora de ropa, plancha para ropa, secadora de pelo y cosa básica en la cocina. Lo mejor es que está a unos pasos del supermercado por si llegaras a necesitar algo. Tiene una bonita vista y los vecinos son muy silenciosos. Por la parte de atrás pasa el tren pero solamente por las mañana y la tarde-noche (es para llevar y traer a la gente de sus trabajos y reducir el tráfico). No es un ruido que moleste pero si tienen sueño ligero considérenlo. Realmente este apartamento superó nuestras expectativas. Full recomendado 👌🏻

Really happy with Jose’s place, the unit was very clean, he was very responsive and the location was perfect with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. I’d definitely book again.

As advertised.. Walkable to San Pedro Mall and downtown San Jose. Tons of restaurants in the immediate are. The place had everything needed, even if you wan to cook. Can hear train in the AM but that is only complaint.

The place was great, well equipped and great amenities. I used the rooftop coworking space every day which worked out great and had friendly people. The hosts were also very fast to respond and on top of things.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Airbnb, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! Arturo is an excellent host and was quick to respond to all my needs. The property itself was immaculate and beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The amenities provided were nice, and I particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the comfortable bed. The location was perfect, offering easy access to local restaurants in Escalante. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I will definitely be returning in the future!

Nice place, well equipped, good help from host. Unfortunately, with so many walls being windows the place doesn't insulate from noise very well - but it does get a bit hot. But great views, and a pretty quiet neighborhood.

El apartamento es pequeño, tipo estudio; pero demasiado cómodo y hermoso, con todo lo que se necesita para una estadía corta o larga. La cama riquísima, hay aire acondicionado, se siente uno muy seguro y confortable. El lugar es muy tranquilo, muy cerca de todo, fácil de llegar. Me sorprendió la torre inteligente de parqueo que tiene el edificio y muy amable don Domingo, uno de los guardas del lugar, le explica a uno todo, como maestro de escuela. My wife’s favorite Airbnb we’ve stayed in. Loved the location one block from the center of Barrio Escalante but far enough to not hear the train at night. A little noise from the center of town but not bad. This is a very clean and modernized home with good security. Instructions to get in were clear and easy. We loved this stay and absolutely recommend this to anyone considering.

Comfortable place with great pool and nice neighborhood. Lots of great restaurants. Good parking.

We loved our time staying at Edward’s place. We come to CR fairly often, and we tend to stay on the east side of San José, so this place is perfect to explore the best sights San Jose has to offer. We will definitely be staying here the next time we’re back, and we highly recommended it to any others who are planning a visit.

Estuve en el apartamento de Mariela ni más ni menos que cinco meses. El apartamento es perfecto para una persona e incluso una pareja. Cuenta con todo lo necesario para vivir en él y no solo para pasar un periodo corto de vacaciones: cuenta con cocina con dos fuegos de vitrocerámica, dos juegos de sartenes, dos ollas, cafetera... se puede cocinar perfectamente en él. A destacar las amenidades que tiene el condominio: gimnasio 24h, piscina en la cubierta con unas vistas increíbles de San José, zona de juegos con mesa de ping-pong, zona de coworking... la piscina es un lujo, mantenida siempre a punto por el personal del edificio, que por cierto son muy atentos y amables. En cuanto a la ubicación: la zona es tranquila, está a unos 15 minutos andando de la UCR, y a una cuadra del mall plaza del Sol, donde se puede tomar un autobús al centro de San José. Si tuviera que poner una pega, por decir algo, es el ruido del tren al pasar, de lunes a viernes por las mañanas. Sin duda volvería.

I really liked staying at this apartment complex. I checked in with the security without issues and there are 24 hour security guards so I had not security concerns. A electronic security card is required to access the elevators and there are surveillance cameras in the elevators and public spaces. The apartment is fully equipped so cooking and doing laundry was hassle free. All amenities function flawlessly. I walked along the main road daily and felt relatively safe. The only issues I had has nothing to do with the apartment in particular. The train tracks ran close to the apartment and I think the train operators uses the horn excessively. I had to use an noise cancelling earplug to get any sleep after 5AM. Also the electricity went away twice during my one month stay. Because I work remotely, It would be fantastic if the apartment was equipped with a UPS backup that can power a laptop, the router and an emergency light for couple of hours. I fully recommend this apartment.
