House vacation rentals in Monmouth

Ann's place is incredible- stayed for two nights and there is everything you could possibly need or anticipate in the house. We had a great time - the pool and hot tub were very clean and the house was perfect! Ann was extremely responsive and helpful. Would absolutely book again!

Such a lovely place to stay. We only booked for two nights and wish we had been there for longer. Lots of really interesting features (a suit of armour! A harp!) in a well stocked house. Very comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful views (we especially enjoyed all the bird nesting in the eaves), gorgeous interior, starry Dark Skies and nice hosts - what's not to love? Great parking. Wish we could have had a few more nights, to check out the pub just down the road.

Booked for a 50th birthday celebration and reunion. A great time was had by all! Lois was around to meet and greet and the items provided for breakfast was an unexpected but very welcome surprise! Thanks for a great stay Lois!

We had a great stay at the barn, celebrating a big birthday. There were 6 adults staying and we were all extremely comfortable. Mike and Joan were very hospitable, generous and responsive. The barn is as fabulous as the photos suggest. The views are amazing. The pool is wonderful. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We very much hope to return.

Beautiful property with a mixture of originality of the building and new style amenities. The kitchen is a beautiful place to be (caution of the heat from the constant aga heat) and the heated pool is an amazing extra to have. It is incredibly peaceful and private, excellent to host familes and friends gatherings, you shouldn't be bored here

Beautiful home! Absolutely loved staying here. The grounds were so gorgeous and the property was 5 star hotel standard. It’s not often that you stay somewhere that the beds are comfier than your own and these were. They had thought of every little detail. Couldn’t recommend more.

Wow what a place. Every bit of it was perfect just as we imagined. The little girls loved every moment as it gave them the cottage feel they were thinking of. I must say the place is very well equipped, Justine has added small touches like towels, hand wash, shampoos, ear buds, candles. You don’t normally expect them but very well equipped. It literally feels like you’re at home, I’m glad we made this choice. There was an onsite sauna which we didn’t get to use but looked really cool. Maybe on our next visit we will get to use it.. The outdoor garden was magical, nice breezy, birds tweeting, just absolutely beautiful. Well done Justine to you and your partner for having a lovely place. We would highly recommend staying at Anita’s because it is spacious, clean and practical. It adequately accommodated our family of 4 (both of our boys are 6ft), grandparents and Labrador. The en-suite bedroom meant my parents had privacy and did not have to share a bathroom with us. Plus our boys had their own room which is rare. It is a 10 minute amble into Monmouth and longer walks are on your doorstep. Thank you so much Anita for providing a great base for an enjoyable half term break away.

Was a beautiful and cozy little place perfect for a get away. Lovely scenery, and the views around the area are truly breathtaking. Amanda was a wonderful host, always willing to help and be of great service. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Fantastic hosts , really helpful and responsive . Lots of information about the local area and things to do. House was very clean and comfortable, with everything you needed , beds and beddings was really cosy and we slept so well , we didn’t actually want to leave and stayed longer than originally booked. The views and local walks were beautiful too . The local pub was nice although we only had a drink there. Kitchen facilities were so good we cooked most the time. Highly recommend

A beautiful little haven - we had a lovely stay at Alison’s place. Felt at home from the moment we arrived. So quiet and peaceful yet just a short walk to some of Hays best pubs and restaurants - just perfect. Loved watching and listening to the birds in the garden too. Sarah’s Airbnb was a wonderful ‘home from home’ and lovely sanctuary to come back to after beautiful walks in the stunning Forest of Dean. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the local White Horse Inn, which was an easy walk from the Airbnb. Sarah was a very friendly and responsive host. Thank you for such a special stay, we will definitely be back some time!

Lovely place. Enjoyed the small extras like the lovely cake! Felt very much like a cute retreat and very nicely decorated. Helen was warm and welcoming.

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay, felt so at home. Cottage was absolutely spotless……..very tastefully furnished with the addition of fresh flowers and even a cake to welcome us. Courtyard garden is full of pots with flowering plants as well as table and chairs on decking in the perfect spot to catch the sun. We were thrilled with our choice of accommodation.

Thank you for a lovely stay! I couldn’t get over how peaceful and tranquil it was plus the weather held up nicely to enjoy the lovely outdoor space. Amanda provided in depth instructions for us & a book was provided with recommendations & local activities. I forgot to pack some things but I didn’t need to worry as Amanda had everything you could think of, including sunscreen which we didn’t think we needed living in south wales! Definitely recommend this place if want to get away from the world :)

Rob and Ellie were great hosts, sent lots of information on local amenities in the area and nice restaurants to try. Check in was easy and the property was a doddle to find. The property was well stocked with everything we needed to make ourselves at home for the weekend.

The Garden House is one of the best Airbnbs that we have stayed at. It was immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and felt really spacious. Georgia was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. The town is a short walk away with some lovely places to eat, and of course the surround countryside is beautiful.

We had a brilliant long weekend stay at The Cartshed with our almost two-year-old while in the area for a wedding. The house and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful – peaceful, scenic, and really well cared for. The Cartshed is extremely well equipped, especially for families with young children. Our son loved playing outside, and it was so reassuring to have a space that felt both safe and welcoming for little ones. Inside, all the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the open living area is a lovely place to spend time together. The kitchen was a particular highlight – modern, very well equipped, and ideal for cooking and socializing. We would absolutely recommend The Cartshed to anyone looking for a relaxing countryside break, especially families. We'd love to come back!
