Family-friendly vacation rentals in Modesto

The place is great, better than the photos actually! It has everything you’ll ever need, such as pots, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies, and everything is very clean. However, one little con is that the internet is a bit unstable, no matter if we’re using cellular service or the purchased wifi.

The little cabin was wonderful - perfect for two people. The forest is beautiful and the pool/hot tub area was amazing! A+!

This is a wonderful spot. Top floor end unit with really lovely views(might be the best there) and very quiet. There were deer outside, hummingbirds, dragonflies and lots of sweet birds. Pool and games are close. And the people that work there were helpful and kind. There are a few spices in the cabinet but anything else you need to cook with you'd have to get at the grocery store or bring with you. Definitely equipped with all of the necessary utensils and linens. Having a grill was really nice. We would definitely stay again if we go back. Made for a fun and comfortable first night in Cali. Loved the location. I wanted somewhere to unwind and this was it!!! So quiet and peaceful. I could smell the pine trees. Saw some deer, a squirrel and some wild turkeys. Very convenient to downtown Sonora, Twain Harte and Jamestown. I may try to be back during the winter to see all the snow. Lots of room in the house. There were just two of us but it can acommodate a group.

Great property, beautiful views, loved that each room had its own bathroom, spacious lounge and kitchen. We ate a meal at the golf course restaurant which was good. Also visited Murphy’s, Angels Camp, the Calaveras State Forest and the New Melonies Marina…. Lots to see and do. Would happily recommend this property.

Very clean, quiet and homey Airbnb! The clubhouse is very close and has nice amenities. The only thing that caught me off guard was when we checked in all the TVs in the house were on, I’m sure they left them on to be inviting, but when I arrived (at night it is very dark) I thought someone else was in the Airbnb which surprised me. Rest assured no one was inside and I was being paranoid. For anyone who experiences the same don’t be alarmed! Thank you Cindy for a 5 star stay!

Beautiful home with plenty of room and every amenity needed.

We had a great stay. It's nice, clean and comfortable. Especially the King master bed. Adrielle was responsive and communicated well. It's also only 3 blocks from the main strip in downtown. No surprises or misunderstood expectations here, this charming home presented just as it did in the pictures. Would surely recommend Adrielle and this home.

This is a whole cottage-house on its own lot, not a unit behind or attached to another building. Immaculately clean, plenty of space with two large bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, Jack-and-Jill bathroom, all the amenities as described, short walk to downtown Lodi, easy parking in front or driveway. Lots of windows and light. Backyard area as well, although we didn't have a chance to use it. Host was very communicative, although we never actually met her.

Amazing stay at this adorable cabin! Check-in was easy, I appreciated the keypad lock for easy entry on arrival. We brought our little dogs and they loved running around the fully fenced yard. The house was warm and rooms were comfortable. Rob was responsive and helpful. Nice location with trees all around but plenty of neighbors so you don't feel isolated. Nickel slot machine and pool table were so fun! The bathrooms are very nice. The only small issue we encountered, was that we got a little lost arriving to the house on the first night, due to our late arrival and it being dark so we couldn't see street signs/ markers clearly. I recommend using Google Maps to arrive, Apple Maps took us to the wrong location. Looking back I could see that Rob's directions were very accurate, I just misread them. The house is right in the area where Kewin Mill Rd. and W. Brookside Drive connect, right near Estralita Dr. if that's helpful to anyone. Thanks for everything and for the lovely stay Rob!

The loft was perfect for our family of four for two nights. Very comfortable, cozy, and clean. We were able to check in early at the last minute. We would definitely stay there again.

A great location for exploring the gold rush area, Highways 49, 108 and 4. Easy access, great for our dog, and a cozy place to spend the night

We stayed here for about 2.5 months. Todd is an extremely helpful and friendly host who was sincerely concerned with the well being of our family. He was always available to assist with any issues we had. The house itself has a world class view of Lake Tulloch from the deck that youll never forget. We certainly had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place.

Bev and Rod were such wonderful hosts. The "shed" as they call it, is exactly as described. Extremely clean, very calm and peaceful, the perfect temperature, and restful bed. With the mini kitchen I was able to warm up leftovers and keep my water cold. Also Bev and Rod are such gracious hosts. I felt as though I was visiting my grandparents house. They were quick to give recommendations and feedback on the places I planned to visit with my dog. Their warmth was genuine and the shed was a quiet place for me to reflect and read. It had everything I needed included clean shower, bathroom, bed, and room. Perfect place for a couple or a lone traveler (+ small dog) like I was this trip. If you're planning on doing some hiking in the area or have Big Trees on your national park list, then don't pass up on this amazing spot. 100% worth the cost and so much more. If I plan to visit the area again, this will be my first choice on places to stay.

Thanks Fred for a great stay. The apartment was well stocked for a few days stay. Large living space, patio, and bathroom. The location had a nice view as well. We would be happy to stay again.

Really enjoyed our quick overnight stay at Fred's place. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. We saw a family of deer the moment we pulled up. We would come back and stay longer to really enjoy the amenities.

Had a great time, location is awesome. Pool is amazing. The clubhouse was excellent. We were all happy to be there. Hope to come back soon.

Stayed here while working as a travel nurse in French camp, CA. It’s a 40 min drive but it’s an easy commute (no stoplights and typically minimal traffic). The cabin is near Rio Vista (15 min drive) where you can grocery shop and the local market, get gas etc. It’s 30-40 mins from Lodi, CA where there is a well supplied Walmart and typical fast food and restaurants. Downtown Isleton seems to have a few restaurants of its own but I didn’t drive into town due to my schedule. I chose to live here over Stockton for my safety and this community is very welcoming and friendly. I would describe this place as a cabin rather than a tiny house. There is a good amount of space here. I would stay here again!

This was our second time staying at Marty and Jess’s place, and once again, it’s an easy 5 stars! They’re wonderful hosts—kind, responsive, and always making sure we feel completely at home. The apartment is just the right size for my boyfriend and me, cozy and comfortable, and also a peaceful spot to work remotely. We especially love their beautiful garden and the quiet, walkable neighborhood. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Cindys cabin at the Lazy Z Resort is amazing! we will definitely be repeat customers. such a beautiful spot to enjoy, you feel like you are in the wilderness but in reality you aren't far from everything... really a neat place! Cindy was extremely helpful in some unexpected issues that arose, she went above and beyond to make this an amazing trip for us! I definitely recommend this Oasis to one and all!

Our stay was amazing! There were seven of us, plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor spaces are incredible. We ate dinner around the pool our first night with the sound of the Calaveras River rushing in the background. The gas grill was perfect for cooking steaks. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the kitchen deck watching the deer and fox that passed through. The bed were comfy, plenty of towel were provided as well as pool towels. Soap and shampoo provided as well! The only drawback was that we were there for only two nights. Jp and Maria were very responsive to the few question I had. We would most definitely recommend a stay there!

Such a nice area and lovely scenery, amenities were worth it! Loved the peace and quiet and clean rooms and decore. Will be coming again soon!
