Everything we wanted with enough space for us and the dog. Perfect location - quiet with footpaths nearby but still close to both the main road and to Cockermouth if needed.

Alexander Barn was the perfect place to stay to visit the North Lake District's gem's. Ennerdale was less than 10 minutes by car, Loweswater 15 minutes. The view from the front room and bedroom was dreamy. The rooms and linen were clean and the later of good quality and having walls on hand and a few things like milk eggs and oil (as well as tea, coffee and sugar) we're very handy as there is no shop or pub in they village.

It was awesome, we attended a wedding weekend, everything was made even more enjoyable by staying in the Granary. Thank you.

My friend and I stayed for two nights, and it truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views right outside the doorstep. The home itself had a warm, cozy vibe, a beautifully homely interior, and a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. Hazel and Mike were incredibly welcoming and helpful—always available to answer any questions, and Hazel even kindly offered us a lift into the local town. I’ll be recommending this gem to everyone I know, and we’re already planning our next visit!
