Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Minusio

Tucked into the stunning Verzasca Valley, this cozy stay was a peaceful gem. The views were incredible, and the room was spotless and comfy. We were only there for one night, but it left a lasting impression—would happily return!

Louise was so sweet and her home is a little gem with the BEST bathtub EVER in the bedroom. Such a cool place and very roomie for a couple. Beautiful decor! Love the interior design touches mixing the old stone with more modern elements. The only negative was finding parking. Luckily we found a little spot all the way down the hill in front of the school….but this is Lake Como so we’re used to hiking up the hill!:) Just an FYI for anyone with mobility issues. We loved our stay and especially loved our meals out on the deck and also enjoyed Villa Lario built into the cliff just below. Fun experience:) We’d love to return sometime!

Davide's house is really very nice and tastefully renovated. The view is awesome, especially from the large bedroom. Below is a beautiful swimming spot and you can hike directly from the house. The Verzasca Valley is very scenic. In the house there is everything you need. And the food at the Osteria in Corippo is very tasty. Note for dog owners: A frequently used hiking trail leads directly past the garden gate, and dogs also pass by here regularly. You need very relaxed dogs, otherwise you have regular barking at the fence.

This home is incredible. The view is stunning. But it is a decent hike up to the house. If you come by ferry it would take 30 mins from terminal to get to the home with many steps. Very challenging with a heavy suitcase. If you come by car it will take approximately 10-15 mins. Lots of stairs. Pack light if you’re able to. The home itself is over 3 levels by a spiral staircase. Bring light luggage if possible. The deck is so nice to spend time on. Lovely, memorable home with a friendly helpful host. Will never forget this beautiful place

Very dear hosts, we felt very welcome and very comfortable from the first moment. Inside and outside, it is very comfortable and lovingly furnished, we lacked nothing. Great that it also has two bikes. We loved it, also the location, perfect for various excursions or just sitting in the garden under the pergola and relaxing. We will be happy to come back. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the unbeatable location of this home. Being directly on the lake, the views are nothing short of magical. Waking up in the morning and looking out over the water from the bedroom felt like something out of a dream — peaceful, serene, and impossibly beautiful. The lake was quite literally at our doorstep. The home itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. Every little detail was taken care of, and we felt instantly at ease. A special shoutout to our host, who went above and beyond when we realized last minute that we had forgotten to include our mother-in-law as a guest. It was entirely our oversight, and yet the host was kind, understanding, and incredibly accommodating. That kind of graciousness makes all the difference when you’re traveling. We can’t say enough good things about this place — the comfort, the views, the hospitality. If you’re lucky enough to find availability here, book it. Can’t wait to return

The house has a fantastic location between the vineyards of Brissago. The architecture, the interior and the rooms are very beautiful and we liked them very much - we love puristic design. Many details in the house and around it make the house very special. When you sit on the terrace in the evening, grill, the crickets chirp and you look at the lake with a glass of wine - then this atmosphere is something unique - which you cannot buy. Eva - the house fairy - is super friendly and helpful and gave us many tips. Mille Grazie for the lovely stay at Casa Largo. We will be happy to come back!

Beautiful stay with an amazing view!

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

What an incredible stay! Michele’s place has everything you need to feel at home, all in an amazing location. There are enough amenities nearby such as the convenience store and 2 restaurants/bars, along with bus stops and even the dock for ferries across the lake. We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. The flat was exceptional clean and located in a great part of Ascona, very close to the lake. Also the communication with Alex was excellent. My family and I highly recommend this Airbnb and want to visit again as soon as possible.

Incredible apartment, well equipped, very attentive host, short walk to the bakery and bus stop, beautiful balcony where we spent every evening, I would recommend this place to everyone!

You can hear the water when falling asleep, the town feels „real“ not too many tourists and the balcony is a highlight. We loved staying in this place/area.

Very nice place to stay with pool, well located!

There were four of us in Eva's apartment and we had a great stay! The apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortably furnished – ideal for our short trip. The coffee machine with capsules was especially practical, perfect for starting the day. Eva was very friendly and helpful. She gave us great tips for the area and was always available for questions. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time. Clear recommendation!

Incredible stay. Location was perfect - beautiful and quiet. Ferry access in town and garage parking were great amenities. Private dock access was nice - Nicola helped us arrange a boat rental and we were picked up right at the dock. Clean, crib for baby provided. Nicola was very helpful and always available. A few things to note: for grocery store, 15-20 m drive. Trash has to be disposed at public area: 12m walk. Thank you Nicola, we will be back!

This is a beautiful apartment in a prime location that has a parking spot, but you don't need a car. The apartment is a very short walk to the lake ferry service, the town square and a C10 bus stop. You can walk to Menaggio Piazza Roma Bus station in under 10 minutes if you want to take the bus to Lugano, Switzerland. The apartment is beautiful, with historic decor and modern conveniences and a lovely terrace. You can hear some street noises, but the apartment is very private. Roxana is very easy to communicate with. Thank you Roxana! We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed with 7 architects in this beautiful home. It exceeded our high expectations. The house and the surroundings are incredibly beautiful. It was a pleasure to stay there 2 nights.

Frankly, a part from the place which is a little jewel, the calmness of the surroundings, the spectacular lake Como, what we appreciated the most is the kindness and proactivity of our hosts. Wonderful private and gorgeous retreat high up on the hillside. RENT A CAR. We did, but only last minute and initially had planned to uber to and from the Airbnb both for arrival and departure as well as just day trips; this would have been a mistake, it is 12-14 minutes up the hill from the town. If you have a rental car and are comfortable driving up steep roads, it is a fun adventure and the views make it well worth the trek. The space itself is second to none. Gorgeous pool with million dollar views, several levels of terraces with sun chairs, outdoor eating areas, and the home itself is inviting and comfortable.
