Tiny house vacation rentals in Mid Devon District

This is the second year on the trot we have stayed at Little Springfield, as we loved everything about our stay last year, we rebooked straight away for this year. Lesley and Martin are wonderful hosts, very friendly and approachable. Great communication either in person or message. Property is very clean and tidy, equipped with everything you’ll need for holiday. Information about things to do and places to visit. There is a gated area for your car, and an area for relaxation/Bbq. Ideal for some peace and quiet, but also near enough for Bude and supermarkets 5 minutes drive away. Keep up the good work, see you next year 👍🏻

Sandra and Rob are always really kind, thoughtful and helpful hosts and it is a pleasure to stay with them.

What a lovely escape this was! We had everything we needed for a cosy night in, before exploring the nearby coastline the next day. A great little gem and we were very happy with the well thought out set up.

Just returned from yet another stay at The Glade, it never fails to be amazing. My son has spent his past 2 birthdays here with me and explains that it is his favourite place. We love the hammock, woods, quiet, solitude and my sons favourite thing is waking up to the birds singing. This place is truly a haven! Remember to take your binoculars as there are an abundance of birds to see. I noticed this stay that there is a nesting pair of Nuthatches nesting in the tree directly in front of the kitchen window. Spent lots of time watching those go in and out and tidy their nest. The Glade is equipped with everything you need and Juliet is on hand if you need anything else. Lovely place and I cannot say enough good things about it. We will be back again soon. Liane, Roo and Peggy-sue.

Very cosy secluded shepherds hut with a stunning view over the valley. The hot tub takes a few hours to warm up which is to be expected, but once warm it's absolutely perfect to relax in for the evening. While small, the shepards hut has everything you need for a quiet weekend away and the bed is warm and comfortable. Local towns are a twenty minute drive away so close enough to find somewhere for food or supplies, but you're in the sticks enough that we didn't see anyone other than the farmer on the other side of the valley.

Our second stay here and we love it. So we'll designed, everything you need, lovely aesthetic and the surrounding area is brilliant!

Beautiful in so many ways!! The views are outstanding and location is so peaceful. Lovely outside space with all you may need. Watching the outside countryside while in the hot tub was stunning. The hut had all you needed with the finishing touches. Well equipped kitchen and the bed was very comfy. Supermarket only 5 minutes drive and lovely local pubs. We weren’t greeted with the weather but still a lovely place to set the fire and enjoy the views, Highly recommend! Will definetly be returning! ❤️

Incredible spot! Really enjoyed our time here, very peaceful and lovely surroundings. Hot tub was exceptional, Clive was very helpful and attentive. Would recommend for any couple looking for time away in the countryside.

Wonderful quirky place to stay with the family, lots of outdoor activities that kept us busy, sauna was a novelty. The children loved the animals especially collected and eating freshly laid eggs. Great place for a little family adventure. Beds were comfy and it was really peaceful sitting by the fire pit toasting marshmallows in the evenings.

Really special stay at Stairway to Devon! Nathan was incredibly accommodating making us feel very welcome! The cabin was gorgeous and clean, with lovely extras for us to enjoy! Great location, and ensured we were topped up with wood for the fire & hot tub! Great local places for food and drinks! Would recommend to anyone for a relaxing weekend away; and would happily return! Thanks a bunch!

Our stay was everything we’d hoped for and more. The cabin was in a beautiful setting, and was lovely inside. We enjoyed birdwatching from the comfort of the cabin! The area was fantastic, with lots of things to see and do within a short drive. Our hosts were very helpful with any queries we had and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!

We had the best time in this cosy cabin! Amazing how it feels so private even though you’re in the middle of a housing area. The cabin is spotless, beautifully and simply finished, and everything works perfectly. Lovely hot water, little fridge and small kitchen area, clearly very well thought out in design. It feels super cosy and perfect for two people. The bed was sooo comfy and lovely fresh clean good quality linen. Even though it rained throughout our stay 😂 we enjoyed the 10-15 walk into Totnes and the cabin is the perfect quiet stay to unwind. Parking was easy, nice little back gate to enter the garden so you don’t have to walk past the house. Jonathan was super friendly, responsive and clear about instructions to check in. We were very grateful as we booked very last minute for a spontaneous trip away. Would highly recommend and this will definitely be our go-to stay when we return to Totnes. many thanks, Tamsin and Olly :)

Absolutely beautiful stay! Everything right on your doorstep. Beautiful outside space around the hut. Everything clean and tidy inside. Can see the sea from bedroom window. Gill was very communicative, her recommendations were very helpful. Couldn’t recommend Gills place enough!

We have stayed at the Cabin twice now and we’ll be returning again I have no doubt. It is the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days surrounded by the natural beauty of the Quantocks. You are welcomed by the bubbling stream that runs past the accommodation and serenaded by the community of song birds that visit the bird feeder hanging just outside the window. Bliss ❤️

We had a lovely stay for a couple of days! Abi and Mark were really responsive and provided wood for the fire pit as a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

I went for a weekend away for my partners birthday , we had a great time. Only a 15 min drive to the centre with loads to do. The shack itself was great , fully equipped to cook yourself , loads of snacks like cereal biscuits sweets etc. The bed was super comfy. Hot tub was lovely. In a peaceful area , peaceful and no loud noises near by. Perfect relaxing staycation. Host was great help when answering questions etc. Would stay again :)

What a fantastic stay we had. We arrived to glorious sunshine. The hut was lovely and clean and we received the most generous selection of food and drinks. Although compact the hut had everything we needed, lots of kitchen equipment, plenty of towels and toiletries. As the weather was so nice we lazed in the swing chair listening to the birds, ate outside after cooking on the outdoor kitchen. We had the most delicious cream tea provided which we enjoyed on the decking. We didn't need to light the fire as it was plenty warm enough, but everything was provided if we had needed it. Shower lovely and hot. Beautiful views and really peaceful. Maria messaged to make sure we were okay and to shout if we needed anything. A gorgeous spot, close to plenty of attractions etc. We have stayed in lots of similar places but Maria really stands out as a host with all the things that are provided. Fantastic value and a perfect stay. Thank you.

We had a beautiful stay at Mill Cross in the Jenny Wren Shepard’s hut over a long weekend. Emma and Kevin were brilliant hosts, they were so kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was great to chat to them and learn about what the do and who they are. Our fire was lit for us to keep the cabin cosy and the hot tub perfectly warmed for us in the evenings. A highlight for us was the abundance of wonderfully friendly animals, it made our morning to have the hens coming running up to say hi, excited greetings from their lovely dog Juno, purrs from the very friendly cat Pickles, and happy hellos from the characterful goats. Stunning location, beautifully clean with expert craftsmanship. Very eco friendly as well. Emma’s homemade bread was delicious and we will be trying the brownie recipe she shared with us. Dreamy stay, wonderful trip. We will be back. Highly recommend!

It was exactly as described. It was great to unwind and just have some lovely peace and quiet. Loved being surrounded by nature and as everyone said, the shower was amazing! Next time we will go with the family and book the bus or barn. Thank you for a lovely stay 😊

The chicken pod was a true gem! So peaceful and very private. Amazing listening to the birds and trickling water from the stream down the hill. The pod had everything needed and was very cute and cosy. Had the opportunity to see the calf’s being fed and to see the lambs which I loved and Angela’s daughter was very kind to show me the milking parlour and explain about their farm. The cats (Charlie) was a pure delight along with the 3 dogs. Being a solo female I felt very safe staying at the pod and am so glad I found this little piece of heaven 💛
