House vacation rentals in Mid Devon District

A lovely lodge in a small holiday park, the pool was an added bonus (outside and unheated but nice for a quick dip!)

We had a phenomenal time! The whole house was spotless and the kitchen was so well equipped. We cooked all meals at home and had lovely dinners outside. The garden is absolutely stunning and a dip in the pond was a great thing to do every morning. Thank you so much Ian, we hope to come back again!

We stayed here for a family holiday, 4 adults and 6 children aged 11-15 and we all had a lovely time. There is lots to do at Mistletoe Farm; the pool and hot tub were great, the games room/ garden kitchen area was perfect for us to all get together to eat, play darts or do karaoke and the escape room was a big hit with the kids. We also enjoyed an evening around the fire pit toasting marshmallows. It’s set in beautiful surroundings and we enjoyed walks to the local pub for dinner and also to the reservoir. Lyme Regis was close enough for a day out too. The accommodation was clean and tidy and well equipped and the teenagers enjoyed having a glamping pod to themselves for a bit of independence. Paul and Sandra were excellent hosts, super friendly, welcoming and helpful, they leave you to enjoy your holiday but somehow always manage to be there when you need them! Highly recommend.

We loved staying at the Coach house it was just as in the pictures, and clean/comfortable with many mod cons. The Cream tea provided was delicious and the milk from the Milkiosk was fun/special. Our spaniel loved the field to run round in, although he was a bit naughty on occasion straying with the excitement. The pool is heaven, especialy as it is timetabled per unit meaning we had it all to ourselves for our turns (what a great idea). Just a great location with some lovely beaches and walks along the coastline. We loved it so much we have already booked again for next year.

Shame we only stayed for 1 night, but what a lovely time we had. The house is so homely and spacious...loved it. Sarah kindly explained the stove and had prepared fires, even offering a bbq if we wanted it. Directions to the house were easy to follow. Lola the springer was as cute as we had hoped and there was plenty of other wildlife in the area, horses, cows, rabbits, bats etc. The pool was brilliant with an insulated roof which we kept on to keep the warmth in and it was a perfect temperature. A lovely stay with a lovely host and would love to return in the future for more than 1 night. :)

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse and Sophia was a very kind and responsive host (eg we asked if they had a blue tooth speaker we could borrow and it was brought straight round - Thankyou!). We enjoyed the large sociable kitchen space with the comforting Aga to come home to. The garden space was very peaceful and we had great fun in the games room playing table tennis, table football and pool on our first night. We also made use of the swimming pool and playing boules in the garden. The house is large and comfortable for groups and families and has a Manor House feel to it which we loved. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Such a lovely and relaxing break here in the east wing. Spacious and clean inside felt like luxury for the weekend. Welcoming hosts, we had fresh flowers on the table upon arrival with homemade fruit flapjack bars and milk left in the fridge, such a sweet and genuinely kind family. They are there for you if you need them but equally let you do your own thing enjoying the accommodation and grounds. Grounds were enjoyable for all ages. If we had a longer amount of time we would have also explored the area as it looked lovely and lots of leaflets were inside the living area to look at. A dream would be to return once again so I think that says it all really! Thankyou

Absolutely fabulous! Immaculate, home from home! Can’t recommend highly enough. Everything you need. Lovely thoughtful biscuits and milk left for us and salt pepper etc just in case. Perfect!

We had a fantastic time here as a group of five. Claire had thought of everything, she was a kind and friendly host. We appreciated all the lovely touches from Claire as host. The studio exceeded expectations and looks even better in person than in the photos. We would 100% recommend this! Thank you.

Lovely cottage with plenty of space Once the decking bit is finished up the steps it will have an amazing place to sit with views Everything you need - breakfast stuff much appreciated. Only thing to say is that at no point did we know the name of the cottage and as there is no photo of the outside , we were slightly unsure which house it was !

We stayed over a bank holiday weekend. The location is amazing with spectacular views. Liz was very helpful with suggestions of places to see and go and was very welcoming! We would highly recommend this as a place to stay!

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

We had a nice stay at this house and even booked it again for another 6 weeks. Sui was a very helpful host who respected our privacy, but frequently messaged to ask if we needed anything. Would definitely recommend this place.

A great place to stay. Very comfortable. Lots of crockery, cutlery and pots & pans. great friendly communication prior to our stay. Was the perfect location for us to see family over Christmas and the house was decorated beautifully.

We had a lovely weekend at Carla's - the location was amazing, set in lovely Devon countryside, the local pub The Staple Cross Inn served up really lovely freshly made food and the locals were a delight. The accommodation was well equipped, the shower absolutely rejuvenating !! Carla provided us with all the details we required, a really pleasant place to stay, we would highly recommend. We had a wonderful stay at the farm, the house was perfect for our needs (three adults and four kids) and the woodland around the farm were beyond our expectations. The kids spent hours in the forest dens and loved seeing the horses. Perfect location to the seaside towns & close to all amenities. I'd highly recommend this farm, especially if you're wanting an eco friendly holiday. We will be returning! Thank you!

Lovely cottage within reach of beautiful parts of Exmoor. Well equipped and peaceful with great views from the terrace. Excellent kitchen, cosy bedrooms, heating and multi fuel burner easy to use.

I booked very last minute after another host cancelled. Deborah’s place was clean, well furnished, comfortable, warm and had all the things we needed. It’s a lovely setting down a private track with wonderful countryside views. The communication was quick and easy and I’m very happy to recommend. There were even some complimentary home made cakes which went down very well. I hope to come back again another time!

Just had one of the most brilliant stays at "Little Spindles". A fantastic eco-built property situated down a quite lane with everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing time away. Inside, the property is just amazing; so clean and tidy, with top quality fixture and fittings and tastefully decorated. The garden area is mainly laid to lawn and is large and private, thanks to surrounding trees and shrubs. There's a little stream at the bottom of the garden and we were fortunate enough to see a kingfisher during our stay! It's close to the centre of Ashburton (lovely little place!) and ideally positioned for a wide variety of sightseeing and walking trips. Poppy is a great host and is always on hand to offer help when needed. We look forward to a return visit!

Emily’s house matched the description exactly and was perfect for our little Exeter reunion. The whole space was very well thought out, and surprisingly spacious for a two bedroom house! The kitchen was well provisioned and very clean, and the outdoor seating area looked delightful (although it was sadly far too rainy to use). It’s a very quick walk either into town or down to the quay which suited us well. It was also very reasonably priced - would stay again!

What a treasure of a place to stay on holiday! Such gorgeous surroundings and a beautiful, spacious building. We felt so much more refreshed and recharged after our peaceful stay, going out for great day trips nearby with our toddler and her Grandparents. Thank you!

A magical escape – Higly recommended! Staying at James’s Teasle Cottage was an absolute dream. The place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and honestly even more stunning than in the photos — which we didn’t think was possible! It truly felt like stepping into a fairytale. The location is very remote, so you absolutely need a rental car — but that was exactly what we were looking for. The peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and completely disconnect from the stresses of everyday life. James was a fantastic host: incredibly friendly, responsive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Communication was quick and easy, and we felt really well taken care of. We would come back in a heartbeat and recommend Teasle Cottage without hesitation! If you’re looking for tranquility, charm, and a truly special getaway, this is the place. Thank you James ☀️
