Beautiful home, surrounding area and view from the balcony! I’ve never seen a kitchen so well stocked with coffee, tea, dishes and utensils. The host communicated with us often before, during, and after our stay and was very helpful in sending us all check-in details and area recommendations. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows, blankets, towels and shower soaps were provided. I felt right at home and would definitely stay here again!

It’s a bit of a drive off the beaten path to get there (car GPS had no problem) but well worth the drive! A lovely vineyard with spectacular views from every angle! Even though we were there in mid Oct, went for a very refreshing swim in the pool that is steps away from our room. Just a short walk away is a lovely waterfall on the grounds. Sonia lives on site - she is a gem. She does all the cleaning as well as offers laundry service (for a very small fee). The place was spotless & well appointed. We were provided with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cereal, several cartons of milk & juice, butter, jams, ham & cheese. We also were provided with copious amounts of a variety of fruit (oranges & kiwi grown right there in the vineyard) The piece de resistance were the homemade (by Sonia) rolls and croissants we received every morning - they were the bomb!! Enough food for us to enjoy for breakfast & lunch! Stay here. It will NOT disappoint.

Staying with Paolo was truly one of the most heartwarming experiences we’ve ever had on our travels. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us not just as guests, but like old friends or even family. He spoiled us with delicious local wine, amazing cheese, a comforting homemade soup, and the most wonderful cake—but more than anything, he shared his warmth, kindness, and genuine care. Every detail of our stay was infused with love. Paolo went above and beyond in every way, and his hospitality made us feel deeply at home. It wasn’t just a place to sleep—it was a place to feel held and cherished. If you’re lucky enough to stay with Paolo, you’re in for something truly special. We stayed in this house for a week and we only have good things to say. Fast and flexible check-in. Spacious rooms, impeccably clean and very well-equipped house. Very large outdoor area with an excellent swimming pool. Finally, I would like to highlight Catarina's friendliness/availability, which was undoubtedly another of the highlights of this stay. We'll be back for sure!

Adriana is a fantastic host, simple but very comfortable house, well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to be used. The only least positive point (not for me), away from any commercial space.

The accommodation is located in a quiet village in the middle of the upper Douro vineyard and surrounded by vineyards. The only service available in the village is a small association under the Parish Council, which operates part-time (which also harms the privacy of the pool). Despite this there is sales of walking bread. The nearest large commercial areas are in Régua, about 15 minutes away by car. The Hosts were very friendly and provided all the necessary clarifications. Accommodation is great for a family break.

We had an excellent accommodation in Ana's property. Extremely clean house with everything you need. The garden of the house is magnificent, very well cared for and reserved. Perfect for breakfast. We will definitely go back again and again.

We had never been to this area so we’re glad we rented a car in order to take a few side trips to some wineries. The place is modern, spacious and very clean. We especially liked the balcony overlooking the River. It would be helpful for more complete instructions in the “welcome book” for how to work appliances. We only used the washer/dryer but there are some great items to use in the kitchen. Beautiful apartment!

You'll get more than you see. Very quiet and in beautiful area. The host is humble and tidy. Excellent. At least 6 stars.

Perfect place for the 4 of use to stay with private sleeping areas/rooms for both couples. Location is walkable to downtown and lots of great restaurants. Fabulous value!

The house was spotless, very cozy and with everything you need for a perfect stay. The owner was lovely from the first moment: he met us with typical local products and gave us great recommendations on places to visit and where to eat. Definitely a 10 experience. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved Beatriz's place! We stayed in 4 different Airbnb's in Portugal on this trip, and Beatriz's place was our favorite by far. The listing pictures don't even show it as nice as it actually is. Well equipped, in a beautiful town, and the region is stunning. Highly recommend it, and we would love to come back again!

Excellent, clean, and modern apartment! It had everything one could need, including a stocked kitchen with great coffee, a nice shower, and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable and the place overall was peaceful, which made it easy to rest. Parking was easily accessible at a nearby garage. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Everything was perfect.

Elisabete was really kind, the place is very nice, on the top floor with a large terrace from which to enjoy sunny days. Highly recommended for those passing through Amarante!
