Maria's house is beautiful, all granite and wood. The view is just sublime, the landscaped exterior is lovely too. We were remarkably well hosted by Sandra, an extremely kind and responsive young woman. We warmly recommend this listing.

This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

The house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive, always ensuring we had a comfortable experience. The location itself was wonderful, offering stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. We also really appreciated the ease of access to the shared pool and tennis court – we never encountered any issues using these fantastic amenities. Highly recommend!

This is a unique property for those that want to be travellers - not tourists - in the Duoro Valley. It’s definitely off the beaten path and if you are prepared for a few kilometres of winding mountain roads it is totally worth it! The views, the peacefulness and wonderfully authentic Portuguese comfort are an amazing experience.

This very stylish stay is beautifully located. The tranquility, the beautiful view and the pool were exactly what we were looking for. A somewhat adventurous driveway is a pleasure to take in. Wonderful place!

Excellent space for a few quiet days of rest, a very well-equipped house at all levels. Hosts are super accessible and have excellent communication, if you need tips on anything more local, they help! If it works out, we want to come back

Very nice stay at Lucia's place, the accommodation was very nice and clean. We were 2 adults and 2 children and the accommodation is very well adapted. The setting around is beautiful, the pool is very nice, and there is a restaurant on site. We also had breakfast on site, everything was perfect. Connecting with the host was very easy. We actually can't describe this accommodation because we got moved to another place on the property because they were worried it might have been too noisy for us, so thoughtful. Their other place was awesome. What was wonderful were our hosts and surroundings. Ana was so helpful and lovely and we felt quite at home. It was great being in the countryside in the beautiful Druro Valley. The views were wonderful and was so peaceful. Felt like we were in the middle of a working vineyard. We enjoyed their wine also!

We had a great time at Lucia's place. The place is peaceful, really very nice and very well maintained. The house is cute, very clean and well-equipped. It is in the countryside (the terrace is surrounded by agapanthus) and a stone's throw from a swimming pool (there are two). Communication with Lucia was very easy. She and her colleagues were very responsive when we needed them. We highly recommend this property!

amazing view. we came on a very rainy day, but we want to return with sunshine to take a dip in the pool. the only suggestion would be to put an electric cable even if normal to charge electric car:)

This AirBnB has one of the most beautiful views I have seen in my entire life and the house itself is also just as amazing. This is the perfect place for a peaceful trip to the countryside of portugal. The one thing I would stress is that renting a car is a must. Leaving the house for any reason requires a car and while there are taxis in the area, renting is much more convenient, especially if there are more than four people staying at the house. Other than that I cannot say enough good things and it would be a mistake to overlook this house.

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!

Leonel's place is the reason we prefer airbnb to hotels. This little cottage in a little village high up in the mountains above the Douro valley immerses you in the experience - from the breathtaking views to the sound of birds and smells of the fruit trees that surround the house. Leonel, who lives on the property nearby, is the perfect host, extremely generous, friendly and caring he's what all airbnb hosts should aspire to be. If your'e considering visiting the Douro valley and don't mind staying a bit off the beaten path, stay here - you won't regret it!

A wonderful place to relax in the Douro Valley! The views are stunning, and the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. The apartment is clean and cozy. The host was welcoming and attentive. He left a lovely welcome package with food and drinks, which was a very nice touch. The kitchen is well equipped, and there’s a convenient outdoor grill where we enjoyed making dinner with a view of the valley. The pool is large and fits perfectly into the relaxing atmosphere. Photos don’t fully capture the beauty and charm of this place — it’s even better in person. We’d love to come back!
