Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Mersea Island

Great location, very well equipped kitchen, lots of seating, great layout, good outside space and very comfortable beds with good quality linen . We would definitely return.

Our relaxing two night stay at Bluebells was delightful. It is a unique Airbnb set in tranquil natural surroundings and we particularly enjoyed the opportunity to visit Fiona's beautiful gardens and to sit outside the chalet, in the sun, watching the antics of the woodpeckers. The chalet had everything we needed and it was cosy inside with the woodburning stove lit whilst we were tucked up reading on the sofas.

We had a wonderful time on Brads boat. Everything we needed and nothing too much trouble. Such a beautiful setting, could have watched the world go by for hours sitting on top deck. The onsite restaurant was lovely too. We weren’t there for long enough to enjoy the local walks and pub but wished we had. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

Just finished our stay at the Shepherds Hut and it was magnificent. Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use the outside bath as it was too cold but the instructions to light it were perfect. Great recommendations for local (ish) restaurants and pubs, we went to Lucca italian in Manningtree and it was just delicious. Ffion and Ollie were terrific hosts & were very present and responsive with information without interferring. Would HIGHLY recommend, a really great peaceful retreat

Beautiful place, great location, extremely well stocked, responsive host and the perfect getaway for our family and dog. The playground was ideal for our 3 year old and a lovely touch being able to collect fresh eggs from the chickens every morning. My only critique would be that there is too much information on how to get there - you can easily just find it with google maps under “the orchard”. The amount of instructions is a bit unnecessary and overwhelming!

Wonderful pool and grounds This is a beautiful place, best enjoyed of the weather is good as the real gems are the pool, hot tub and lake. We had full access to the grounds complete with alpacas! The house is beautiful from the outside and pretty comfortable inside, though the furniture is perhaps understandably pretty basic in comparison to the luxury of the surroundings. A truly scrumptious lemon cake and pretty narcissi were left for us which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We will be back one summer!

This was our ‘mini-moon’ after getting married the day before but no full honeymoon anywhere in the world could be better! Gryffindor Common Room meets Wonderland complete with a stunning garden, hot tub, fire pit (all taken advantage of) and roll top bath. The decor and ornaments were perfect - this house was a true labour of love and the attention to detail was amazing right down to hidden ‘mice’. I spent a lovely spring morning lying in the teepee listening to the birds and fountain whilst looking at the pansies that were freshly in bloom and could tell the summer plants would be just as beautiful. Real and synthetic plants and candles were expertly woven together inside and out and all the bits and pieces around the room fitted the theme beautifully. We were so lucky we had been gifted the romantic upgrade (without knowing!) by our family and the rose petals, champagne, strawberries and a delicious spread on arrival were gorgeous. Nature reserve next door and we found a lovely pub.

A beautiful cottage style property in Felixstowe in a peaceful location only 6/7 min drive from the beach. Everything was spotless and clean. The beds were super comfy and the welcome pack of bread, milk etc were a lovely touch. We loved staying here and will definitely be booking again. Thank you for our lovely stay!
