The Lam Barn is absolutely amazing! Great space, very peaceful, even thought it was on a main road it was very quiet. Loved the hot tub. Great for recharging the batteries. Fabulous welcome pack from the hosts, always on hand to help if needed. Would definitely recommend, this place was awesome. We will be back for sure!

Great hosts, peaceful and relaxing location. Clean, spacious and comfortable lodge. Well eqipped with all you could need during your stay. Loved the hot tub and the outside decking area. Large dog friendly garden which my grehound loved running around in. Quiet woodland nearby for dog walks and a farm shop that sells delicious fresh cakes. Resonably priced and would happily book to stay again. Thank you

As a family of foodies and in particular loving shellfish West mersea and the cottage were absolutely perfect for us. Our two teenagers loved the hot tub and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking good food in the small but perfectly formed kitchen and sitting in the sunshine in a very pretty deck watching the world go by. three nights was a treat, But perhaps a few extra just to make sure we could try all of the wonderful food offerings West Mersey provides . Thanks Roland for being a great host - we loved the cottage and would love to return.

I stayed here with a few friends for a valentines get away. It was peaceful and exactly how described! I will definitely be coming back! Thank you

Our stay at the retreat was so relaxing and stress free. Maxine was friendly and welcoming. The Lodge itself was wonderful, bed was very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen. Jacuzzi was the best, 38.5 degrees of luxury. We will return without a doubt. The Lodge is a credit to Maxine.

Fantastic cottage in idyllic location. Photos do not do it justice - it’s a beautiful cottage, full of character and charm. Lovely garden too. Had a wonderful stay and communication was excellent.

Adam welcomed us on arrival and was friendly and accommodating. When we needed to contact them about a couple of minor things, they were responded very quickly and dealt with any small issues immediately. Very friendly and provided local information. Accommodation was as expected, presented well - a 400 year old cottage with quirky, rustic and therefore in keeping decoration. Well appointed and plenty of kitchen accessories for cooking in if that's what you want to do. A lovely welcome pack provided :-) Nice pub over the road, beautiful walks to local villages with other great places to eat, a good location for a relaxing and walking and admiring the local scenery.. Area popular with bird watchers it seems (being right on the estuary...) Some road noise outside as the cottage is right on the road, but you soon get used to this if you're not already.

We had a perfect stay.. the cottage is beautiful and fully equipped. The location was fabulous ..beautiful beaches and walks... it was perfect.. so much so we have booked again for december. We cant wait... a true gem! We had not been to mersea before ... but by gosh we will b going back again .. if you fancy a relaxed and cosy place this is the best place .. thsnk you very much

We had a lovely stay at Bonnie Cottage. Jo was very responsive to messages and accommodating as we booked on the day of our stay. We really appreciated the thoughtful treats left for us grown ups and toys and chocolate left out for the little ones. The space was modern, clean and very child friendly. Only a short walk to the beach too! We would definitely return ☺️

Really enjoyed our stay in Burnham on Crouch and this property is very well located to explore the area. Quirky, tastefully decorated and well furnished. Lovely, well designed garden allows you to take in the sun all through the day. Local convenience store is very close by and Burnham has many great pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. All of which are pretty much a stones throw away. Parking was a little tricky as we had to use the free public car park but once we found the little alley at the end of the terrace the car park is actually only 1min away. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great Easter break, it was quiet and met all our needs to be able to walk each day and not really need to get into the car. The layout was ideal for us and the 2 dogs and though there are people around you we felt private and did not hear any of the neighbours, the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very comfortable and so was the bed which was a plus. Would definitely consider using this as a base again.

Such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay ! Humperdink feels cosy and comfortable inside and then you have the peacefulness of the surroundings right on the doorstep . The weather was perfect so we enjoyed walking through the bird reserve as well as a lovely visit to Mersea island . Inside , there’s pretty much everything you could need for a stay and my teenage boys even enjoyed looking through and playing a couple of the games ! We saw pheasants, deer , rabbits and plenty of water birds and the clear starry sky was just beautiful. Highly recommended as a peaceful and relaxing get away from it all stay 😊

Lovely cottage very close to the high street and convenient to walk into town. The host was easily contactable and flexible with check in and out times. A very enjoyable stay!

We had a lovely stay at Julie’s cottage. It suited our family of four perfectly. We would love to visit again in the future.

The cottage provided a perfect place for a short stay in Suffolk, with lots of wonderful coast and countryside nearby for walking and birdwatching as well as towns well worth visiting (e.g. Woodbridge and Aldeburgh). The accommodation is small but with all the facilities we needed and we had a peaceful and enjoyable visit. The star-filled night sky is a delightful change from London!

Lovely little place with everything we needed. Nice tea room walking distance with good food. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Great place to stay with the dog too.

We had a lovely stay at the Cart, beautiful lakes and excellent fishing. The hosts were fantastic and there is a little cafe onsite. I would recommend staying here.

Perfect in every aspect right down to attention to detail. A wonderful host . The finer touches were impeccable . You couldn’t ask for any more . A beautiful home in a wonderful Location .

Lovely 3 night stay in this characterful cottage. Evenings with the log fire were lovely, and lots of lovely countryside close by. Nice private lawn for the dog to run around, would definitely recommend!
