House vacation rentals in Mellau

The cottage is idyllically located on a small vineyard. nice weather has my great view of the valley. There are some shopping and a small bakery nearby. From Marbach, you can also find many excursion destinations reach out.

We had a good stay and can recommend it. The house is very well equipped. Please offer larger towels in the future, otherwise this is a mild agony for adult men.

We had a really great stay at the property. The lake is within 10 minutes walking distance and is perfect for cooling off. The only drawback was the mosquitoes this year, so we couldn't open the windows at night to cool down so well. Flight gates would have been helpful. Otherwise great place to stay with a very cozy terrace. Rosemarie is a very nice and helpful gesturer!

Renate was very warm and brought a delicious self-baked apple strudel and chicken to welcome you. She also wrote a hearty birthday card and made a little surprise. Renate was always available and gave us many good tips, such as restaurants. The house was very clean and well maintained and we immediately felt at home. We will certainly be back! The apartment is well equipped, very modern, very spacious! We were there with two children (5 years, 9 months) - travel cot, high chair and toys were provided for the kids. The sauna on the ground floor could also be used free of charge. We enjoyed the location very much - you usually have to drive a car, but it was nice and quiet, relaxing and we had a little break from the bustling everyday life. We like to come back 😀

Margret is a very friendly and helpful hostess. We were four (2 adults and 2 children). The house offers enough space on two floors and is well equipped. We felt very comfortable and would book the accommodation again at any time.

We spent a weekend in Hittisau with the family. The place was great for this. We especially liked the open kitchen with the dining room. Thanks for the wonderful time there.

The house was clean and superbly equipped. Communication went smoothly, even a short-term change in arrival time was no problem. We would be very happy with the place.

We were a family with 6 adults over Easter in the vacation home Rosa and were very warmly welcomed by Klaudia and Norbert. As a welcome, a cake was waiting for us in the kitchen. Thank you for that! The vacation home is spacious, very clean, the rooms large - especially the living room and the garden spacious with beautiful fruit trees. Norbert and Claudia are very helpful and quick to respond to questions from us. We were able to take our daily bike tours directly from the house, then enjoy the garden in the sun and in the evening eat together and play cards at the large dining table. Thank you for everything. There were two of us in the beautiful part of Wendy and Sven's house. Wendy welcomed us and showed us the charming apartment in her Appenzell house. In the spacious kitchen we were able to cater perfectly, the fridge is large and there is plenty of dishes available. Great that there is also a dishwasher! Tabs, detergent, sponge, enough kitchen towels, everything available. Also plenty of towels and toilet paper. We didn't miss anything. We took beautiful hikes and had good food in neighboring Heiden. We also visited the Henry Dunant Museum in Heiden - very interesting! In the cozy living room, we were able to relax well and review our experiences. The ceilings and door frames are low because it is an old, very pretty, renovated Appenzell house, you have to be a little careful. We're looking forward to our next visit with Wendy and Sven!

The property was as described and very clean. There was everything you need and we felt very comfortable.

Our stay was perfect in all parts. The cottage is centrally located and yet very quiet. The setup is in all parts of the description. We highly recommend holidays in Appenzell.

Very nice place. It was super clean and tidy. The host had even put up a (real!) christmas tree for us and decorated the common area. We felt right at home. Very easy communication with the host. The only downside is that there is no proper shower just a bathtub with a showerhead. Not perfect but it workes. We would absolutely recommend this place!

Great big house with charm. Everything you need was available. The beds were very comfortable. We slept really well. The only thing missing for the summer is a freezer compartment for ice or ice packs. We recommend the place and would come back. Claudia from NRW

The house was as pictured, beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The whole house is very nicely renovated and furnished. Unfortunately, the dishes and cutlery were dirty upon our arrival and the 2 frying pans were so scratched that we could no longer use them. Written contact with Johannes was friendly and proactive. The location of the house is great. You can quickly reach Appenzell by car and on foot in a few minutes at the cable car that leads to the high box.

We were warmly received and it was a pleasant stay. We were 2 families and had plenty of space. Our dog was also with us and was occasionally in the garden. Fortunately, it was also good weather, a lot of snow and a 30-minute drive is the ski slope for families Bodele-Schwarzenberg. Was really wonderful weather and if you are a starting skier, this slopes are more than enough. The house is perfect for families and has everything you'll need. The beds are good and otherwise it is neat. Thank you Andrea for your hospitality.

An enchanting place to stay. We enjoyed a lot with the views and the peace and quiet. The cottage was very comfortably furnished and had all the compfor. We want to visit again. Highly recommended if you like to spend time in nature.

We spent New Year's Eve here. Annina and Tim welcomed us nicely, with cervela and salad, which they prepared especially for us. The highlight was the hot tub - just great to warm up there in the evening surrounded by winter scenery!

We spent 2 nights in Luisa's home. A large pleasant house, matches the photos, close to shops and places of interest such as Lindau in particular. Very friendly and responsive owners. The area is truly sublime, an incredible sweetness of life. Note: one room does not have shutters or blinds, which may bother some people. For the rest, everything was perfect.

Had a great stay. The cabin and especially the location is even more beautiful than can be seen in the pictures - secluded, in the middle of magnificent alpine scenery, quiet and perfect as a starting point for hikes. Getting there was uncomplicated, but a car should be available. The cabin itself was well equipped, extremely cozy, and reminded us a bit of old times. We felt completely comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and we would have loved to stay longer. A great stay. Thanks for that!
