Family-friendly vacation rentals in McGregor

I recently stayed at Eric’s Airbnb and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and just like the pictures. The location was ideal: tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but still close to everything I needed—shops, restaurants, and some great local attractions. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept better than I had in weeks. Communication with the host was seamless. Eric was friendly, responsive, and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would absolutely book again and recommend this place.

Stayed 4 nights at Lisa and Roberts place. Home was clean and had all necessary amenities plus bonus things like spices, cooking oils/sprays and coffee. Not to mention the beach items like ice chest, chairs and umbrellas. We did not utilize, but there were also kayaks and bikes in the garage. Hosts were quick to respond and were always friendly. For example, when we arrived the lockbox was missing and there was no key, but we were still able to enter using the provided garage door code. Within about 20 minutes after notifying them about the lockbox, Robert arrived to replace it. By then we had found the key sitting in a bowl at the kitchen desk, so we were able to place the key in the lockbox upon check out. A/C was nice and cool, hot tub and showers were nice and warm, pool was refreshing. So happy for the screened in Lanai to keep the bugs out of the pool area. The neighborhood and very quiet. Federico was amazing! he went above and beyond when we had a minor emergency with our 3-year-old daughter and helped us get some medications (and a humidifier!) for her on the mainland without us ever having to leave the island. he was always very helpful and responsive whenever we had questions about his place or the island. The space was very kid friendly and though it is a shared Deck with the house next door we hardly even saw or heard from The neighbors. oh and because it's not completely obvious from the listing you do not have to share the hot tub with the other house. There is one at each house. also, the description is a one minute walk to the beach probably needs to be updated given that there is now houses backyards you have to walk through if you take the most direct route. Other than that the area underneath the house was wonderful for our kids to play in when we weren't at the beach and the 6 person golf cart was just big enough for our party of five. A+ highly recommend

This is the second time my family has stayed at Connie & Dale’s. We absolutely love it. The home is gorgeous and well equipped with everything you need. The outdoor patio area and pool/ jacuzzi is amazing. So beautiful and relaxing. Will definitely be back !

Maggie's place was perfect for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming in the pool and loved all the birds and lizards in the back yard. There was an issue with the air conditioner and Maggie was responsive with the issue. The house was comfortable and in a great location to visit Sanibel Island and the Everglades. We would definitely stay at Maggie's place again.

This was our second time at Alex's house. Gets better every year. Alex is very accommodating.

This was a great “home base” for our event at the Heitman House. It was nearby and walkable, with plenty of space for all our guests. The house and backyard were excellent for hosting meals and hangouts, and the place was really well-stocked, making it feel like home and not a random rental. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens, including lots of extras so despite being at full capacity for days we didn’t need to go without. I really appreciated the amount of bath and pool towels that were provided! The hosts were responsive and had anticipated many of our questions and needs. Details like the kitchen having multiple coffee makers, and extra bug spray & beach chairs were nice touches.

We had a wonderful week at Nancy’s place! It was just right for my husband, me, and our small dog. Location is great and it’s an easy walk to the beach! While small, the apartment has all the necessities. We particularly liked that there is a bike rack and the house is beside a bike path.

My family met at FMB for Christmas and stayed at Andy’s house and it was just what we needed! The location is great, quick walk to the beach and restaurants and shops. The area is definitely still a mess from hurricane Ian, but places are starting to reopen and the beach is still lovely and clean. The house had everything we needed to cook meals and lots of stuff to take to the beach!

We spent the month of March at this home and enjoyed the experience. With only solar heat we were afraid we wouldn’t use the pool but it was great and enjoyed lots of floats. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area and beautiful canal views. Everything looked like the pictures. We loved the quiet neighborhood too

we stayed 3 weeks and felt like at home from the first moment on. the house is amazing. very clean. everything is working well. you have all what you need and more. my wife was so happy to see the air fryer. smile. we cooked for ourself most of the time. if I would choose a home for the rest of my live I would choose a one like this. short trip to many restaurants and shops. we loved our stay and will come back for sure. John and Colleen are so friendly and helpful. always available. we will put this stay to the best 3 of our lifetime. we thank John and Colleen so much to make our stay so memorable.

We had a great stay! The home is clean, cozy, and has everything you need. The beach is very close, which made our trip even better. We truly enjoyed our time here and definitely recommend this place!

Beautiful house in convenient location! Neighborhood was quiet and the pool was great! Host was very responsive when we had a couple of minor issues (that were addressed immediately). We very much enjoyed our first snowbird experience!!

This apartment was lovely and spotless. My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing time. The condo is very private and quiet. The beach is very close even though we got rough seas but weather was nice. Highly recommend this place.

If you are fortunate enough to come across Fatemeh’s listing - book it immediately! Fatemeh’s beautiful bungalow is the place to stay! We have stayed at many places in our travels to Sanibel Island and Fatemeh’s place is by far our favorite- I am a picky renter too! She is quick to respond to questions, made checking in a breeze and even messaged us a few days in to see if we needed anything. The community is amazing and the pools are a dream with a tiki bar for both drinks and food. There were bikes and beach chairs to use too. Her place is a 5⭐️ rental. You will be glad you took my advice- I promise!

Adorable beach condo with amazing beach, gulf and sunset views. The hosts were very responsive. Close to grocery stores, souvenir shops and restaurants. A perfect island getaway.

Dan’s place was easy to find and easy to get into. Dan is very responsive when you message him. He is great at giving recommendations when you ask for them. The house was clean and has everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed our time at the house.

A beautiful location, very quiet neighborhood, yet within 1.5 miles of a large supermarket and drugstores. Pictures are very accurate of the home. We loved the outdoor pool area/lanai. There was an issue with the pool filter causing the pool to become too cold for swimming during the last few days, which was unfortunate for us, but that was not the hosts' fault, and they were very responsive, within minutes. The home as a very comfortable layout with several large sitting areas inside, as well as a very large lanai area. Kitchen is well equipped with everything we could need. We did not use the grill, but there was one available. We had an issue with the smoke detectors and, again, a simple text to our hosts brought immediate response and remedy. Alexina and her husband are lovely and very responsive. I would recommend this beautiful spot and we would return on our next trip to Cape Coral.

We were in the area for a baseball tournament and this was the perfect centrally located home. There’s a pool and fishing out back so the kids were busy when they weren’t at the field. Great host, very friendly. We will stay here again.

We had a fantastic time at this beautiful home! The house was spotless! The view out the back sliding glass door was amazing. Beautiful pool and great canal view. The kids loved the pool and swam for hours everyday. The men in our group enjoyed fishing off the dock. The neighborhood was very quiet but close to everything. There were lots of great tourist destinations within less than an hour drive. The host was quick to answer all questions. There were tons of towels and a nice washer and dryer, which was helpful with so many water activities in the area. The garage housed many beach items, which were so nice to have!
