We had a wonderful time at Nicole’s cabin. The hot tub was just what we needed and the sauna just put it over the top! It was easy to use and so relaxing. Thank you Nicole!

The house worked well for our family! We all had our own space, but we also had a great spot for gathering on the patio and in the main living area. The patio furniture was so nice for breakfast and for just sitting and listening to the birds.

Lassie’s Lodge is a gem in Ruidoso. The view every morning was something I am going to miss and the high ceiling living room makes the stay so roomy and spacious. All the amenities were great and there is ample space for everything. It is indeed home away from home. We hope to come back here again on our next visit!

Great place for hunters. Quiet and peaceful. Close to a lot of public land within the national forest. Very close to the mayhill cafe which served good food. Overall great experience and I will be back next season.

If you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway this is it! The cabin is very cozy in the middle of the forest. The bed is very comfortable, comfy recliners, and full kitchen. Some things to keep in mind; the parking situation is fairly tricky and a steep walk but you get used to it after a while. The stair case inside is a little scary at first but then you get used to it. We did lose water on our last day but Matt was very helpful and responsive. Matt was great at communicating with us.

We had a great stay and loved the cabin very much. It had everything we needed and the upstairs bed was very comfy. The only negative comment we could make is the parking was kind of inadequate (not much room to park a pickup). We would highly recommend this place if you going for a stay in Cloudcroft.

The highlight of this cabin is its location: it's in the middle of a pine forest, with great walking trails literally just yards from the front door. We spent three days hiking them, and enjoyed every minute. (Our dog Teddy loved all the forest walks too.) Also nice about this place is the rustic feel of it. The main part of the cabin has a vintage kind of vibe about it, which fits the history of the place and its links to the old Cloud-Climbing Trestle Railroad. The bedroom wings are much newer, with comfy beds and carpeting. The place is quiet, and the long front porch has a beautiful view of a mature pine forest.

If you want to get away from the city , but be close to town this is the place. Easily accessible without four wheel drive as long as there is no snow. Ten minutes from great food and shops. Will be staying here again.

Clean, comfortable, beautiful space. The cabin is on the small size but organized so efficiently, it works very well. Great storage for clothes and whatnot. Gorgeous deck; wish we could have spent more time watching the quaking aspen trees.

We loved our stay in this cute, clean, charming cabin. And we loved our dawn and dusk visitors: a small herd of elk! The setting is gorgeous—our favorite times were sitting on the spacious back deck in super-comfy chairs watching the sky change above the pine forest. Susan kept in touch with us ahead of check-in since we likely wouldn’t have cellphone service (we didn’t), so that I could take screen shots of the check-in instructions (super easy) and the wi-fi password. Wise move! One caveat for the less-nimble: the stairs leading up to the beautiful top floor bedroom are a bit short and steep, so be very careful, especially at the top where it ends partway into a narrow hallway. It made my husband very nervous, but we kept a light on and moved slowly. Not an issue for most people, I’m sure, but be mindful.

For someone who's always on the go, and working a ton, this was a much needed nature therapy session. For a nature enthusiast, this was an excellent location. Many deer and Elk, scenic drives, and Sunspot obsercatory is only a 30 minute drive. There's many parks and nature trails within a short drive. Cloudcraft is such a quaint little village.

We had a really nice stay at this cabin! The space was surprisingly clean for a mountain home—no cobwebs and everything worked just as it should. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and spread out, which made it really comfortable. The fenced backyard was a great idea, but our medium-sized dogs managed to find their way out a few times, which may have led to some unexpected visits to the neighbors—something to keep in mind if you’re bringing pets. One of the highlights was the wildlife—deer came right up to the front door like they were used to being greeted, which was such a fun touch. The road leading in has a rough patch on the first turn if you’re coming from the far end of town, but it’s manageable with a little caution. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and loved the peaceful mountain setting. A great spot to unwind!

Where do I start?! This place was a dream to stay at! Very private but close enough to access everything you need. The views are astounding from virtually every angle of the wrap around porch! The place was immaculate, beds very comfy and the amount of detail they put into this place along with personal touches for our stay were the best we’ve experienced. The hosts were so kind and easy to work with. Highly recommend this place!!

It’s been 3 years that we pick one of Shantel’s cabins and my family and I love it! We will continue to come. We love Timberon, NM.🫶🏻

Had a great stay here as a family of four! The house was very clean and had plenty of room for us, the kitchen had everything we needed, and we really appreciated being able to store bikes in the garage. During our down time at the house, we enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch and dinner on the back porch. As an added bonus, it was very easy to walk to town and the brewery for a pizza dinner. We would stay here again!

Had a wonderful stay.Surrounded by greenery it was a perfect getaway for the weekend.
