Villa vacation rentals in Maxwell Beach

The four of us, (2 adults, 2 children - 13 and 9 year old) had such an amazing holiday. Paul and Nicky are excellent hosts with quick and friendly responses to our questions and loads of info about the local area and recommendations. The villa was awesome. Very clean, plenty of space for the four of us with two ensuite bedrooms and a fantastic location. Beds were big and comfy and the kitchen was big enough for a couple of family meals. Location was excellent with it just being a three min walk to an amazing beach and access to sun loungers courtesy of Fairmont Pavillion hotel passes. The shared pool is also a great additon. I would recommend hiring a car if you want to do some food shopping and see more of the island. Although the reggae reggae buses are pretty frequent and quite an experience, having a car makes it so much easier to get around. Barbados and the people are fantastic. Very friendly and we felt very safe. Highly recommend this place.

We stayed at coco house with our 2 boys, the home is just wonderful and the real picture we can’t get out of our mind was the view from the balcony with the morning coffee’s. Sugar hill is perfect for those with older children wishing to have a little of their own independence too with the pools close by. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook with Susie. We found all the information fantastic which enabled a full packed adventure in Barbados. The beds were comfortable. Marcia who looks after the property and meet and greets was also fabulous. What an absolutely fantastic villa!! We have just spent 12 nights at Simon’s villa and I cannot rate it highly enough. Simon from booking was extremely helpful and friendly answering any question I had promptly. When we stepped into the villa we were blown away, spotlessly clean, fully kitted out, beautiful furniture, fantastic pool and gorgeous views. Shani visited every day (apart from Mondays where Susan came) and tidied, washed and cleaned for us which was a fantastic addition. Shani was outstanding and is a great asset to anyone’s holiday going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed - especially helpful with 2 young children!This was a 5* experience and would love to return in the near future! Far Away Beach Villa is a restorative, peaceful, serene, secluded oasis that serves as the perfect antidote for hectic, modern living. Perched above the Atlantic you have the best ocean views and smells. The breeze that rolls through the French doors keeps the house comfortable day and night. We spent a good deal of time on the patio at night watching stars and listening to the surf. We joke that vacation showers are always a letdown because of the renovated shower and bath included in the house we bought a few years ago. This shower is a dead on tie with ours. Sunlight streams in, the ocean waves are audible and the wood flooring satisfies form and function; slip resistant and visually stunning. Arron is a great host. He was punctual, pleasant and professional in all of our communications. He was also three for three on restaurant recommendations including one of if not the best French meals of my life. Excellent experience in Arron's space and we will definitely be back. Thanks!

We had the best stay at Mariam’s. The house is beautiful - the photos really don’t do it justice. Mariam went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and was so quick to communicate. The location was great - close to everything we needed whilst still feeling private and quiet. Sometimes by the pool we could hear the sounds of the neighbourhood, but we were never disturbed. We did enjoy the company of a very friendly cat, who would sometimes visit while we were by the pool. Amanda and Desmond were on hand and were brilliant. One evening the gas bottle of the BBQ ran out during cooking. However Mariam had this rectified by the time we even awoke the next morning. We’ll definitely be back - it’s a beautiful house. Beautiful villa! Spent a few days here to celebrate my girlfriend’s 28th birthday and it was everything we could’ve imagined! The view is amazing, barbados is such a lovely place. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Thank you for helping me put together a personal chef for the birthday girl! The villa was so amazing we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to come back!

Barney's place felt cozy and relaxing. I enjoyed having coffee on the balcony watching the surfers. Beautiful home and beautiful area. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful place to stay. Fully stocked and the host was easy to reach. We will be back to the island again and this place felt like home. Great area and amenities.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful villa. There is plenty of room for 6 people. It is just a 7 minute walk to the beach and a 25 minute walk into Speightstown. The pool is amazing and really well kept. The only thing that could make this villa even better is to add an en-suite shower room the massive bedroom.

Second time we have stayed here. Amazing place. We had a few requests, like the addition of a BBQ, an air fryer and a blender, all of which were quickly added to the location. We already booked out third stay for December.

The house was gorgeous....design, surroundings, furnishings all perfect. While the pictures on Airbnb looked great, they weren't able to capture the full beauty of the house and the setting. There were several, very spacious and beautifully furnished outdoor areas to enjoy --perfect for swimming, watching the sunsets, dining and just relaxing whether alone or as a group. Kitchen was large, stylish and well-equipped , as were the other areas of the house. Helen, Paul and Fiona were very helpful, pleasant and responsive. We loved the location...needed a car, but very close to great beaches and restaurants, and we did some walking around the neighborhood which was pleasant. We would defiinitely stay here again. One suggestion: the Master Bedroom which is huge and beautifully furnished with wonderful views and an incredible bathroom needs an additional A/C unit I think. I like to sleep cool and the room did not get cool enough for me. The other bedrooms were fine.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruth's place! The property was beautiful- a brand new house with upgraded finishes and beautiful pool with a great outdoor living space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything that we needed. Full laundry capability was helpful with young children. The AC kept the entire house cool when we needed it. This is important because Barbados is hot and humid even at nighttime. We appreciated the groceries that were provided on arrival, which is helpful after a flight when you are too tired to venture out to shop. Housekeeping was provided twice during the week and the pool was cleaned several times by staff when we were there. If we come back to Barbados, we would love to stay at Ruth's place again!

Jan and Rafi’s place is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. The outdoor space is fabulous, the view is breathtaking! The house itself is lovely, the bedrooms are big and spotlessly clean. It’s in a great location, close to everything but so quiet once you are inside the property. Jan and Rafi were wonderful hosts, so friendly and answered any questions we had. We would absolutely visit here again!

Sugar Cane Ridge 9 was everything we could have hoped for and much more. The property was spotless, beautifully comfortable and really felt like a home away from home! We were so happy and at ease there. Even though we were late arriving, our host welcomed us and made us feel so at home. The surrounding area is beautifully maintained, picturesque and so peaceful. We would suggest renting a car so you can get to the local beaches, shopping and restaurants more easily as the resort is set quite some way back from the coastal area. It is walkable but not for small children and there is no pavement. There is however, a shuttle bus that takes you to the main beach which is convenient if a rental car is not for you. We cannot recommend this property highly enough! It was wonderful and we hope to return soon.

A really lovely 4 bedroom home with stunning views from upstairs balconies. The housekeeper was also excellent and waited up to meet us on arrival when we were delayed. It’s location is perfect just behind Mullins Beach and also felt very secure. Highly recommended and hope we can return one day.

The villa was a great for our family. Lots of room for cribs . Kitchen was well supplied with lots of glasses , plates ,bowls and cooking utensils. Monkey shows in the morning were entertaining for us all. Outdoor dining area was large and comfortable . Lots of outdoor furniture variety. Pool was just the right size . Lots of micro fiber beach towels that were very useful for taking to the beach. The beach club access was a huge advantage. We spent many days at the beach club watching the sun go down. Grocery stores are close, within walking distance. Bus service is fun and efficient for visiting other beaches . The local contact Sandy was very helpful and gave us lots of advice on places to go. We would choose this Villa again if we go back.

We loved every moment of our stay at Bairds View Villa. It’s a perfect location on the west coast if you’re looking for a quieter stay, right between Speightstown and Holetown with a bus stop at the end of the road for easy travel. Thunder bay beach at the end of the road is beautiful and has great local food/drinks. We hired a car for half of our stay to help us get around the island and explore but if you’re just looking to go to Bridgetown or along the west coast a car is not a must have as the buses are frequent. Yunus was easy to contact prior to arrival and very responsive. John the villa manager was a wonderful host and so helpful, he had good recommendations prior to check in and offered to do grocery shopping for us at no extra cost which was a lovely gesture. We would recommend Bairds View to everyone and can’t wait to hopefully return one day in the future. Thanks so much for an amazing stay!

We had a great stay at Joel's villa. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous welcome package awaiting us. The villa was very clean and well equipped with lots of towels, good quality dishes and pots and pans , comfortable furniture, and pretty much everything you need to get started on your holiday. Our mornings always began on the back patio with our coffee enjoying the birds and lush vegetation and the occasional monkey passing through. Jeanne, the property manager, was terrific and very quick to handle any questions or concerns that came up. As Vuemont is a gated community, we always felt very safe there and the Barbadian people are some of the friendliest we have come across in our travels. We enjoyed our stay so much that we look forward to going back next year.

The place is bigger than the pictures so much space inside and outside. Very peaceful and loves the sound of the sea at night. Would stay there again.

Great location, clean and beautifully kept. The living area is a little small but the outdoor patio more than makes up for it. There’s a lovely pool, outdoor dining area and lovely seating area too. Richard and Tricia were fantastic - responsive and very accommodating. Thank you for letting us stay at your piece of paradise! We hope to be back one day! ❤️

Great house, great facilities, quiet and peaceful location, excellent value. If you’re looking for somewhere away from the crowds and don’t mind being a drive from most places, I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

I would definitely stay here again. I needed a home for 3 weeks while working in Barbados and it gave me the space and flexibility to enjoy the space, have friends over and also have time for myself. Thank you again.

Annabelle's is an absolutely unique property, and we feel so privileged to have stayed there. Fraser was a wonderful host, so responsive and full of helpful recommendations and suggestions. the very few teething issues were sorted by him during our stay, with the help of Neville, the property manager. Fraser and his team went above and beyond in their efforts to make our stay as stress free as possible, arranging car hire and airport pick ups. The location is stunning. Words are not enough to express the views, the beaches and the sunsets! we have never, and will never again stay anywhere quite as spectacular. It is worth remembering that Anabelle's is a traditional Bajan house. There is no air-con, and the sea is noisy at night. You will be visited by the local bugs, so pack repellent and ear plugs if you are a light sleeper; but when you wake up in the morning and throw open the shutters- it will all be forgotten! Had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend Liz’s wonderful house. We arrange a pick up from the airport via Liz. Lex was there to meet us and drive us back & then show us around. Very easy and relaxing start to the holiday. House is well equipped and perfectly located for the shops, restaurants and the beach. It’s just a few minutes walk down to a stunning beach where there is a lovely beach club - Calma. The little artificial reef is ideal for snorkelling & we were able to swim out a little further where there were turtles and rays (amongst many other fish). The pool is just perfect and felt really safe for our daughter as it has a lovely long shallow end.
