Beach house vacation rentals in Matagorda

We had an unforgettable prom weekend at this amazing beach house! The place was super clean, spacious, and just steps away from the beach. The house had everything we needed. The location is right along the shore making it very relaxing to sit on the balcony, but it is a little walk to the beach. Our host was really responsive and made check-in a breeze. They even gave us some great local tips for restaurants and activities. It felt like a home away from home, and we’re so grateful we found this place for such a special occasion. Highly recommend for any group trip!

We loved staying here and Steve was a great host! There were some plumping issues (something apparently the city has struggled with since the hurricane) but Steve was so responsive and helpful and had it fixed in no time! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing beach weekend!

Everything about this house was ideal! The house felt like home, had everything you needed to be able to just relax. The deck and view were mesmerizing and the beach was a quick walk. This was the most relaxing and peaceful place we have stayed. We will come here often, thank you for providing a place for a memorable vacation!

Melissa’s place had everything we needed. It was so nice to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean or relax in the cozy living room and watch a movie. We enjoyed walking down the beach and ate at The Seahorse Grill several times. I recommend their queso and coconut shrimp.

We had a great time staying at Island Fancy. The backyard was perfect for our dogs. The pictures give an accurate glimpse of the home and yard. The house was very comfy and welcoming. The porch was truly amazing. The weather was not the best when we stayed. It was really windy, which made it very cold and uncomfortable. We did brave the beach some and endure the chilly wind. The backyard and porch were pretty sheltered from the wind making it easier to enjoy being outside. You can also enjoy the ocean views from inside the house. The windows make it seem like you are outside. The host, Jennifer, was very responsive to us before and during our stay. We will definitely stay at Island Fancy again.

The house was very cute. Close to the beach entry point. Pool was cold due to a front rolling in, but once the sun came out it was great. Did some fishing at 3-mile and the neighbors lake. Overall a fun trip. Recommend this home and others in the neighbors.

We very much enjoyed the stay. The house had plenty of room, the beach was outstanding, and we were all able to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The outdoor shower made it so easy to rinse off after walking on the beach! We loved cooking on the deck, listening to the surf all day, and just relaxing. Our family had a fantastic stay at this house. The host Matthew was immediately responsive on some basic questions I had before we arrived. For anyone with kids, you can’t beat the great pool setup combined with a ~2 minute walk to a nice strip of Surfside Beach.

We had a wonderful time at Randy's beach house. It was exactly as described and pictured. Very thoughtfully designed and decorated. It looks like a beach house you would see on HGTV. The views from the living area, kitchen, and both porches are fantastic. As far as location, it was beautiful and remote, which was perfect for unplugging and relaxing. The beach is wide, the sand is soft, and there are sea shells everywhere for the kids to collect. I really enjoyed drives on the beach in the morning or evenings, just make sure you have 4-wheel drive. There are a lot of wetlands in the area, so make sure to bring your insect repellant. All listed amenities were there, as well. Internet worked great. Randy was a great host who was always very friendly responsive, informative, and accommodating. We most certainly plan to come back. It may be more expensive than other options, but this home has the best views & accommodations. You get what you pay for in this case.

This was a home away from home. We traveled as a group of friends and we all agreed that this Airbnb will definitely stay on our favorites. The host reach out to us after check out and made sure we were all settled in. It’s in walking distance from the water. I could go on and on about how great this Airbnb was.

We had a nice stay overall! The place was clean and matched the listing, and Bradley was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Just a heads-up for future guests—the sink tended to clog a bit easily, and the water pressure was on the lighter side in the toilet. Nothing major, but worth mentioning. Otherwise, everything was comfortable and enjoyable!

We were 3 family units, coming from northern states, to enjoy some warmth . Texas delivered. Sliánte house was perfect for us! Sitting on the deck was nice as was the very short walk to the water. Our grandkids loved the waves and loved getting ice cream from the ice cream trucks. The house had beach toys and corn hole, full kitchen, 4 baths!

We had an amazing stay! The place has the perfect view of the beach it was absolutely breathtaking to wake up to every morning. It had everything we needed, from plates and towels to a great grill for cooking out and bon fire. The space was super clean and very spacious, which made it even more relaxing and comfortable. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

The view from the deck was exactly as pictured with a short walk to the beach. No golf cart needed unless you want to drive on the beach. Lots of space for our family of 8. Kitchen is well stocked, could use a larger skillet and pizza cutter. You will need to bring your keurig coffee pods, as there was no drip coffee pot. It was well stocked with towels and beach towels & nice to have a washer and dryer. Susy's communication was great and she bought an umbrella and wagon to transport our beach stuff to the beach. There is a very small souvenir shop next door for t-shirts, sweatshirts, swim accessories, drinks and a few food items. I advise to get your groceries before you arrive as the nearest grocery store is 10-15 miles away. there are some local convenient stores, but very expensive. We cooked most of our meals, but did eat out a couple of times...food was average. All and all it was a great place and i would definitely rent again. Thank you Susy!

We had a birthday gathering for Grandmother and everything about this place was the perfect location to celebrate. From the nearby walkable Seahorse and On The Deck Restaurants, to the balcony overlooking the ocean having key lime pie, to the pink flamingo decor reminding us of Miami, Florida we had a great time. The beach was only moments away from the by foot as well. The host was a delight. Very responsive and always there if we needed anything at all. The home was cleaned pristinely. We were happy to make this place our home away from home for a bit.

Great communication! Great location! So quiet and peaceful. You can fish right across the street from your front door. Spacious, clean, fresh, very very comfortable beds and pillows. We will def be back when we want to disconnect and recharge! Thank you for being excellent hosts!!
