Nabua Lodge • Hidden Getaway • Ocean Front

The bure was a great private getaway in the Yasawas. The room was as photographed, keep in mind it is a simple "resort" so your bathroom is going to be dated/simple compared to standard resorts in the US or elsewhere. The resort will pick you up in a small metal boat, you may want to bring a hard-sided suitcase rather than fabric/soft to avoid things from getting wet if it is raining. The meals were simple, we had one regular and one no-fish diet request and they were able to accommodate us. Most drinks in the "bar" were reasonably priced at $3-4 USD so be sure to bring cash, there is essentially no where else on the island to buy drinks/snacks. The beachfront area had some great snorkeling off to the right, and we would happily visit again. Be sure you bring bug-spray, the bugs are going to find your skin during breakfast and dinner. We just wish there was warm water (the naturally warm water wasn't as warm as we would like for showers, especially getting the bug spray off at night).

Private Sea-View Cottage in Nature Lodge

Rosa’s place was just as described. Peaceful, home stay and so met the family, lovely food and we did very little other than read our books and watch the sea. It’s a great place to go off grid and relax. Internet was available but not wifi, so you can turn your phone off and soak up the quiet.

Garden Bure @ CoralView Resort with Ferry Discount

The resort is a bit outdated, but the entire team makes the stay a great experience and the garden is very nice and well maintained. There is a lagoon (no nice beach directly at the resort), which, however, does not have clear water. For snorkeling, however, you can swim 100 m to a reef, where you can snorkel well. Kayaking is perfect for exploring the island on the water. Tavewa, Nacula and the other surrounding islands are beautiful for excursions. We enjoyed the food. We have a 16-month-old girl who was very lovingly cared for by the team. At first glance, the resort may not live up to the South Seas dream you expect. In our opinion, however, the value for money is great!
