Raitotoka - Barrel 1

MarkRating, 5 stars4 days ago
There is so much good to say about Raitotoka, it’s hard to know where to begin. We’ve stayed at many Airbnb‘s all over, this is at the top. If you’re coming to Taveuni, specifically if diving, trust us and look no further, this is where you should stay. Logistics—perfectly located. Easily walkable to an amazing dive shop (salt divers, exceptional), best restaurant on the island Tramonto, great coffee / lunch spot The Dive, airport, supermarket, and well positioned to get to the waterfalls and Lavena coastal walk. The place itself— stunning lush grounds without the impersonal, commercial aspect of a “big time” resort. Beautiful birds, butterflies, colorful plants, incredible infinity pool, a magical staircase down to a private beach. It’s really something else. Most importantly, the personal touch of the hosts is unmatched. Fresh baked bread and fruits every morning, help with subtleties of planning the day, just all the effort that makes a stay special. 100/10 Vinaka Amoreena
A pathway framed by lush greenery leads to the beachfront, with tall palm trees swaying gently above. The clear, turquoise water extends into the horizon under a bright blue sky, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere.

Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages-Papaya Bure

Ronna has created a perfect place in paradise to enjoy the natural beauty of Taveuni. Her staff are warm, friendly and dedicated to making your stay smooth and carefree. They told me where to go snorkeling, arranged for airport transport, helped me move my luggage, etc etc.. all with a warm Fijian smile and a genuine sense of hospitality. The Villa's themselves are impeccably maintained. Everything is clean, comfortable and beautiful. The views from all three of her Villas is incredibly beautiful with a view of the best snorkeling reefs in Taveuni and the 4 gorgeous motus (mini-islands) directly in front of the Coconut Grove. Coconut Grove is the recipient of numerous awards for being the best resort etc. It's easy to see why! If you are looking for a dreamy place to stay, directly on the water and with the best access to the gorgeous coral reefs you needn't look any further - I highly recommend booking a stay asap, you will surely be pleased you did. Beach Cabin

We stayed with Roland at his place in Dolphin Bay (Viola was away working). The view in the room was stunning - you could see the entire bay from their location, which is at the highest point on the property. We picked Roland's place because of the opportunities to dive with Roland, who is a certified dive instructor and has been living in Fiji for over 30 years as a native from Switzerland. A few points to note if you want to stay here: - It is remote. You will need to hire Roland & his team to pick you up and drop you off via boat, as there are no roads. The closest airport to fly into is Taveuni (Matei). - You will not have access to cook, not really. Meal plans aren't compulsory, but there really isn't another option unless you want to eat chips the entire time. We opted for the meal plan, and the food was incredible. - There isn't much to do. Bring a book, and enjoy your land-based time when not diving - It can be quite hot in the room with no breeze. There is no fan/AC
