Vei we kani Villa

WillieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If Savusavu is the hidden paradise of Fiji, then this Airbnb is paradise with paradise. A true gem - all the previous superlative positive reviews are very true. Stunningly beautiful views with interesting/functional architecture and amazing hosts. We really enjoyed opening the “wall” during the day to catch the breeze, and closing up at night to keep out bugs. AC in the rooms was a plus. I mainly interacted with Jason, but Heidi also was quick to respond. Any questions were quickly and thoroughly answered. In particular, I was impressed how proactive Jason was as a host - he suggested and set up outings for us. He seems to know everyone, where to go and what to do. Our outing with Sete will be forever in our memories. Truly a wonderful location and hosts. Book this place right away (and an AWD vehicle) - you will be very happy here, we certainly were extremely pleased.

'KOKO Savusavu Honeymoon Villa Panoramic View Pool

HollyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay at Koko. Mel was incredibly helpful from the beginning—she shared lots of useful information and ideas for our visit and was quick to respond whenever we had questions. The pool and view were absolutely incredible; we already miss waking up to it! Radhika was also wonderful and cooked us some truly delicious meals. It was a joy having Max around—he’s such a sweet, gentle dog and made us feel safe during our stay. We were sad to leave, but the memories we made will last a lifetime. It’s a private and secluded retreat—the perfect place to unwind and lose track of time. Just a heads-up: don’t expect to walk in and out of the property easily. It’s located at the top of a hill and only accessible by 4x4. If you’re renting a car, make sure it has good ground clearance and a sense of adventure! We opted to use local taxis instead—Bobbie and Sarah took us all over when we wanted to venture out from the villa, and they were amazing.

GIPSEA - Your own floating paradise

LitaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Loved our yacht stay very much! It’s not a luxury yacht. It’s a rustic yacht!! Full of character and we felt like sea voyagers. We were offered two yachts because the other ‘Fantasia’ wasn’t booked for the weekend. Luc was that kind! We payed separately for our day cruise ,which was absolutely amazing! Because there were 7 of us, (grandma, mums and daughters) Luc said we could sleep on both or in one if we wanted to. Bill looked after us during our stay and he transported us from the beach to the yachts and helped us navigate the little things on board I.e how to flush the toilets! Some of us went to shore to eat at the beach club and some just stayed on board the whole time! Bill was very patient, kind , attentive and helpful! Luc made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Absolutely beautiful sunrises and sunsets. You can hear music from the bar and hotels. Look out for fishes that swim next to the yacht early morning. Clear sea! Amazing star gazing! Will stay here again!

Taylor Ridge (Coral Coast)

AngieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Very spacious home in hills above beach area - maybe 400 metres from the main road. Host gave great details to find the place but it is up a dirt road so can be more difficult to find if it’s dark. Loved the privacy and view of the ocean. We had a great breeze through the windows. Furniture was comfortable and Razia was very helpful with any questions during our stay. Kitchen is well stocked and checking in/out went smoothly. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Two Bedroom Beachfront Bure Waruka Bay

LorraineRating, 5 stars74 months ago
We had a most adventurous, amazingly wonderful experience at Waruka Bay Resort, a small resort located on Quamea Island in Fiji. If your looking for a unique experience and if you love the outdoors, this is it. The resort is truly remote, located on an Island off Tuveuni. From the airport there you will be escorted to the resort via an open air boat. The resort accommodates 8-10 guests, hosted in 3 individual Bure's, each oceanfront. The resort runs on 96% solar energy, with only a few hours per week of generator use. It is truly an eco friendly environment. The food is organic, cooked by a most wonderful chef, Lusia. She is teaching her art of cooking to her nephew, Emori, who works with her at the restaurant. Lusia enjoys learning your likes and prepares stellar meals to your preferences of foods. Silio Leka (Kuko) is an aspiring Rugby player who will engage in some very fun and interesting conversation with you. Kayaks, Paddle Boards, and Snorkeling equipment are available at no added expense whenever you would like to venture out into the ocean, right out your front door. Should you want to go out fishing, there is a panga for hire. The entire staff is friendly and so mindful of what the guests might need to make their stay comfortable. The on-site owners Andrew and Rebecca, have supported the community by employing local residents. Along with many local villagers they have built the resort from the ground up using local wood, thatching, etc. They have supported the community by employing local residents. Andrew, Rebecca, Lusia, Emori, Kuko, Puamo, Thor, and everyone at Waruka Bay Resort, THANK YOU for your hospitality. For those searching for an adventurous experience, it doesn't get any better than this! Marty and Lorraine

Rosa’s place was just as described. Peaceful, home stay and so met the family, lovely food and we did very little other than read our books and watch the sea. It’s a great place to go off grid and relax. Internet was available but not wifi, so you can turn your phone off and soak up the quiet.

Ocean View Spacious Eco-Cabin in YASAWA PARADISE!!

JanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
A bit of confusion about the capacity of the room because of errors in the airbnb listing, but it was straightened out when we arrived. Basic accommodations, but good food, plenty to do, great snorkelling around the island, even an ice-cream (popsicle) stand almost next door. The friendliest people you could hope to meet!

Ocean Bungalow - Escape at LONG BEACH

HidayetRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a memorable stay at this homestay, thanks largely to the incredibly lovely and welcoming family. They genuinely go out of their way to make you feel at home, and they offer a range of activities that provide a great insight into the local culture and way of life. Just keep in mind that no activities are offered on Sundays, which is something to plan around. The beach here is by far the most beautiful I’ve seen in Fiji – truly breathtaking! Though the tide goes quite far out around midday, which isn’t ideal for swimming – but that’s just nature. However, the room, the bed and bedding were quite old and had a noticeable moldy smell. The food was okay, but not particularly memorable. Keep in mind, this isn’t a 5-star resort, but a true homestay experience with beautiful people, and you pay significantly less than at the big resorts. Overall, if you’re looking for an authentic, budget-friendly experience with a wonderful local family in a stunning setting, this is a great choice.

Barefoot Bungalow Steps to the Beach in Lodge

MillyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Safe landing gives you a very Fijian experience with the amazing food, and activities they have on offer. Me and my friends did a Fijian language class where we learned some new words, a herbal class where we discovered the powers behind the vegetation on site and ate the best foods which were grown just outside! Shoutout to Lewa for being so kind and attentive, you were so lovely and we would love nothing more than to come back and visit again! Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

Aubrey was a great host. Communication was excellent. He was kind enough to be flexible with last minute changes to travel plans, and upgraded the stay to a different villa. The villa was exactly as advertised, and we didn’t have any problems. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for convenience for your visit to Savusavu.

*Life's a Beach* Cabin Ocean-Front in Lodge

TuesdayRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We loved our stay with safe landing eco lodge. It has a home stay feel but with the privacy and comforts of having your own space. Everyone has breakfast and dinner together creating a little community vibe but it’s not overrun with tourist so still feels as though you have the beach to yourself a lot of the time. There were a couple cockroaches and ants in the room which we got rid of easily and wasn’t too much of a problem for us. I would still recommend staying here as we loved everything else and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Your guide to Fiji

All About Fiji

Fiji is an island nation located in the South Pacific, east of Australia. The majority of the population is located on the two main Fijian Islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Formed of over 500 islands, Fiji is a diverse and bountiful region with nature that has largely remained pristine. One of the island nation’s biggest draws is its incredible coral reefs and beaches, where you can snorkel, swim, and dive to experience the beauty of Fiji’s coast and oceans. Explore the islands’ culinary culture or go spelunking in limestone caves on Yasawa Island.

The particularly adventurous may enjoy trying to catch and cook their own mud crabs with help from local guides, or diving to reach caverns with petroglyphs. The offering of kava, a root, is part of a traditional gift-giving custom that most travelers are expected to partake in. This culture of community sharing, respect, and camaraderie is worth participating in for any trip to Fiji.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Fiji

The best months to consider house rentals in Fiji or an apartment in Fiji are February, March, June, October, and November, all of which constitute shoulder or off-peak seasons, when crowds have yet to arrive or have just departed. November to April is the off-peak season but also Fiji’s monsoon season. Yearly events you won’t want to miss include Holi, or the Festival of Colors, in February, where participants shower each other in rich colors. The World Music Festival in June is a celebration of international performance, bands, and music. Fiji Day, marking the independence of Fiji, and the start of a week of cultural festivals and events celebrating the nation’s diversity. Diwali, or the Festival of Lights in October, where locals and visitors enjoy light shows and traditional firecrackers in vibrant displays.

Top things to do in Fiji

Coral Coast

Located on the southwest side of Viti Levu, the Coral Coast is a stretch of pristine white sand beaches. Besides the hotels, resorts, and restaurants dotting the edge of the coastline, visitors can work up a good sweat by trying out the Ecotrax, a line of railtrack that offers visitors push carriages to explore Fiji’s lush landscape.

Fiji Museum

The Fiji Museum, located on Viti Levu, is a must-see attraction. Covering over 3,700 years of Fijian history, exhibits include cannibal forks, shell jewelry, Indian artwork, and more. The museum is easily accessible on foot as well, and features a gift shop with a wide variety of books, souvenirs, and more.

Garden of the Sleeping Giant

Located in the foothills of the Nausori Highlands is the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, a large garden featuring collections of many kinds of flowers, especially orchids. Once part of a private collection, the orchids in particular have flourished in Fiji’s climate. Guests can also experience a jungle walk through a lily pond and part of the local rainforest.
