Cabin vacation rentals in Manzanillo

All staff and accommodations and Samasati Rainforest Bungalows were very polite, professional, and attentive. They were extremely communicative and excellent hosts. The resort stands on it's own on top of a mountain overlooking the rainforest and Puerto Viejo below. The restaurant on site was very convenient as well as the 24 hour access to the pool and jacuzzi. To those looking at booking here, do know that this is spot is deep in nature. You will encounter all kinds of wildlife from frogs, snakes, spiders, guatusa, birds, monkeys, and more. If that isn't your thing, look elsewhere. We absolutely loved being away from the busy town and beaches so this was perfect for us. Falling asleep to rain hitting the roof in the dense forest will be a cherished memory.🥰 Muchas gracias, Samasati and pura vida!

Staying at Samasati Rainforest Bungalows was an unforgettable experience for our family. From the first moment, we felt a human warmth that exceeded our expectations. The service was simply wonderful: always kind, respectful, attentive and willing to help us with everything we needed, even beyond what we could have imagined. The place is a real paradise. Surrounded by nature, with spectacular views, peace, tranquility and impeccable cleanliness, we felt in total harmony. The facilities are very well maintained and every corner conveys love. The food, delicious and prepared with dedication, was another of the great pleasures of the trip. We want to highlight the excellent work team, a group of loving, helpful, dedicated and really special people. Their service was on another level. They made us feel right at home, and it's impossible not to carry them in our hearts. We'll be back, not only because we promised, but because we 💕

We stayed for three nights and it's a lovely place. You're really alone with the jungle and its wonderful silence and natural sounds. The host is friendly, proactive, communicates clearly and always seeks to solve problems. We had a very quiet and relaxing stay. We would definitely come back.

A magical place!

It was an amazing experience, all what I was expected and even above and beyond. Also specially with the personnel working in the facilities, it was great to find out you are not just a guest but you can feel like home because of that human touch. Thank you very much everyone who was involved during my stayed, you really made my trip a 5 stars experience.

Omar is a wonderful person. Super knowledgeable of all the nature, marine life, plants and trees. The most welcoming and warm person you could meet. I felt so safe staying with Omar. What a special person! He’s the guy to stay with if you visit manzanillo. His home is really beautiful, full of the best nature Costa Rica can offer. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. I can’t recommended his place enough. Thankyou for a beautiful stay Omar!

Beautiful place and an awesome host. Everything was super comfortable and clean.

Everything in the cabin was just as Jose had described. Great place for seating on the veranda watching the birds and listening to the howlers. The walk to the main road is lovely as it's surrounded by jungle, but I'd say it takes a little longer than 20 mins in flip flops and take a torch with you if you come back at night. Overall, a great place

With Dalma and her husband, 5 stars are actually not enough. The two welcomed us warmly and everything was well prepared (including a homemade welcome drink in the fridge). The cottage is lovingly decorated and is right on the border of the Cahuita National Park. A little dream with wonderful hosts. We give 10 out of 5 stars!

Great little wooden cottage, more charming than the pictures! It is bigger than we thought, the beds are of good quality, and the environment is exceptional: the very quiet beach is 2 minutes walk and we can observe a very rich wildlife from the living room (toucans, agoutis...). Super Negro (= large and quality supermarket) a short drive away. We wish we could have stayed longer, it's a real haven of peace ☮️

Amazing stay! Local soda on the same street and grocery stores only a 15 min walk yet feels so relaxed and secluded :) Open air cabina was comfortable & cozy! Host was friendly and responsive as well! Would stay again!

Above and beyond service. Udson and his wife were exceptional! They went out of their way with anything I needed. Wifi was great. Hot water was awesome. A bit of a walk to shops and things but that was the best part! Some of the jungle insects do linger about. So be prepared. It's their home, we are the intruders..LOL But nothing any outdoor enthusiast would mind. Awesome neighbors too!

The location of the Airbnb is great if you want to be in a quiet place (there is little going on in Punta Uva). The apartment is located directly on the beach (across the street). There are few neighbors who are not always there, everything is Airbnbs. We found the apartment clean, spacious, it had everything we needed. The communication was great, the hosts are very courteous and nice, quick to respond. We would come again!

The beautiful house, comfortable and well located ,the attention of the owners is unbeatable, thank you very much family, you have made us feel at home, it is a pity that we only had one weekend, but we promise to return!

Lou is an excellent host!! Attentive, answers all concerns, guides you. The accommodation is just like the photos!!!! Close to downtown, the bus stops about 400 meters away. It's a safe, quiet neighborhood. Everything is beautiful!!!

Great place and close to the ocean

A very well conditioned place and equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. The host is very helpful and is always attentive to the guest's needs. The house is very beautiful and in great condition. The site is quite accessible and close to tourist places, shops and services.

It was a very unique experience. There’s no cell service or wifi so you will need to leave the property to communicate with hosts or in general. We did love staying there and it was a very nice quiet getaway with lots of nature to connect to. There is a waterfall nearby but we found out through locals that the specific waterfall talked about it in the Airbnb is not safe without a tour guide due to robbings and assaults. I would suggest looking at the Google reviews. There are other waterfalls further out that are probably better to visit. We did do the chocolate tour nearby with the Bri Bri and it was a lot of fun. An outdoor shower would have been amazing to have at this property due to how beautiful the property is. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts and Grethel were very kind and responsive.

Kingas place was beautiful! Surrounded by such beautiful trees. It was nice to wake up listening to the birds and Congo monkeys. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and eating out on the balcony. We found it very relaxing! The shower was nice and had hot and cold water which was appreciated! We didn’t deal with bugs surprisingly but there was a mosquito net to help and a fan for when it got hot. The hosts were kind and greeted us when we arrived. They communicated well and were helpful with some local tips!

My brother and I stayed two nights in the log cabin and felt really comfortable! The view from the terrace was fantastic – we could watch toucans and even monkeys 🐒 Everything is super close to nature, but still well protected thanks to insect screens everywhere. The amenities were great, it had everything we needed. I spent a lot of time on the terrace, drinking coffee and reading – just wonderful☕️ 📖 🌿. The driveway was a bit adventurous, but doable with our all-wheel drive vehicle.🚘 Communication with the hosts worked out great. Clear recommendation – 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
