Beautiful barn style, accommodates three families easily all with their own bathroom! The line is very luxurious and beds comfy Communication was quick and efficient at very late notice. The place did have a few cobwebs and dust from the road but I think that comes hand and hand with being out in the countryside. Stunning garden outlook to sit and have your morning coffee. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to other families or larger groups with all amenities supplied and a short drive to Te Arai beach. Thank you!

The best air bnb I have stayed at yet. You couldn’t ask for a more peaceful place. Their own access down to the beach means the water is at your feet and it is very private. Felt so relaxed after our stay and would definitely love to stay again.

Warm, spacious, and homely - a perfect winter getaway!

How an airbnb should be. Anna & Brian have created such a welcoming, peaceful oasis with all of the personal touches that make staying here so wonderful. A short drive from Auckland and you feel you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best way). A bottle of wine, homemade cake & bread, breakfast provisions (so many eggs we couldn't finish them all) topped off with a well kept tennis court, pool & spa - in a gorgeous apartment-like setting, we couldn't have asked for more. A great place to stay.

Great, knowledgeable host. pointed us int he right directions for great fishing locations, which was what we were there to do and has the best view. I could almost launch the boat from the deck. A+++

Peaceful place to stay in the middle of the countryside. The studio room is spacious and bed comfortable. The sauna the hosts have is very good and you have your own privacy there. Hosts were friendly and helpful and all the animals (sheeps, cows, hens, roosters, a cat and especially a dog) were lovely.

Such a great accommodation with privacy, wonderful outlook over the hills and the bush, dog friendly, and attention to detail with most things thought of and so appreciative of what was offered. If you are seeking a getaway with privacy and amazing outdoor baths with stars above or the wonderful gardens, this is it.. Great lunch at the Parua Tavern before check in and out to Ocean Beach for a dog walk. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed for one night and we had an amazing time!! Located a short walk from a gorgeous beach and Jetty, Susan’s guest house was the perfect place to land after a busy day under the sun. Sue was very friendly and helpful, Thank you thank you thank you!

Private, peaceful, luxurious retreat. It is the perfect getaway for a couple to relax and recharge. Nicki is a generous host who provides all sorts of local goodies to enjoy. The cabin is well designed, immaculate, and upscale. Even though we had 3 days of off-and-on rain, we didn’t mind because the views were so peaceful and the furnishings very comfortable. We liked Matakana Cabin so much that we plan to return again next year.

Jamie’s place was fantastic! Easy to check in and out, beautifully clean and located in a very private and peaceful location. The breakfast was an added bonus! Thank you Jamie and would highly recommend.

Review: Amazing BnB with lovely hosts who gave us awesome info about the surrounding area & good places to eat. Great people to chat with & extremely welcoming & kind. The BnB itself was stunning & we even found some Kawakawa to pick & take home with us. We loved seeing all the native wildlife as well as the cute kunekune who graze nearby the studio. 10/10 we would definitely go again!

Gemma tastefully decorated unit is just perfect. Responsive communication and unit is just as described and the most comfortable bed! Highly recommended for any length of stay.

Hattie was great to work with and very kind. The house pets were also very cute and sweet. The view from the property is amazing as well! Great little place for a weekend getaway and the nearby towns were great for exploring. Hattie kept us informed of everything was available for anything we needed.

We had a peaceful stay at Nigel's place, the house was spacious, clean, and tidy. It was a quick drive to local shops and cafes. We would definitely stay again.

Rudi’s place was a delight. Beautiful quiet little cottage with great views over the hillside. Rudi met us as we arrived and explained everything even down to how we could feed the sheep at the bottom of the garden. Very clean with nice little touches … chocolates, coffee/tea/milk ….. bathroom toiletries and a welcome message. Plenty of attractions and beaches within driving distance. Thoroughly recommend this place, wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a great time staying at the boathouse, a little unit at the back of the main house. Location was perfect - 5 min drive to Mangawahi township and 10 mins to Mangawahi heads. Shannon and Gary were lovely, very responsive and helpful. The house was clean and we loved Lucky the dog :)
