This studio is set in a beautiful quiet environment, with native trees, bush, and serenity. Only a few minute's drive from central Whangarei, this offers you the best of both worlds. Drive into town or other close by attractions then come back to relax away from the busy city life. We have all afternoon sun and amazing sunsets to watch and enjoy with a glass of wine on the deck. We are two minutes walk away from one of the beautiful Parahaki walks which takes you to the lookout at the top.

Our space is great for travelers who enjoy wineries, breweries, cafes, beaches, walks, cinema (boutique), Saturday markets, Goat Island and a variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have a great new grocery shop and a local pub within walking distance.

Matakana Retreat - Luxury Off Grid Lodge in Nature

A unique hilltop and off grid eco-chic retreat located amidst 50 acres of mixed forest and native New Zealand bush. If you want a digital detox, this is a magical place to reconnect with nature while enjoying the bird life and beautiful views across the valley all the way to Hauturu / Little Barrier island. Situated on a private 4ha rural property on the flanks of Mt Parakiore viewing the Whangarei Harbour, our new, stand-alone cottage is inviting guests to relax on the deck spotting our local Kahu flying by. Our tank water is filtered and ready to drink from the tap.

This gorgeous house is built right in the boughs of the trees reconnecting you with tales like the Lord of the Rings and the Magic Faraway Tree. Take an adventure into this dreamy dwelling that's nestled in its own private stand of native trees. This quiet getaway is not far from the city, and based on our secluded 28 acre property. Breakfast items are also provided for you to prepare at your leisure.

Thistle Do Beach Bach

Thistle Do Beach Bach is located meters off State Highway 1 at Ruakaka. The open plan lounge and kitchen has large windows and doors that allow maximum light and airflow, while the doors open onto a sun drenched deck with gas BBQ and outdoor setting. Inside the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including fridge/freezer, microwave, cooktop, electric frypan and dishwasher.

Hengleigh Studio

Hengleigh Studio is self-contained, located separately from our house, on a small lifestyle block, surrounded by a variety of top tourist attractions. The property is all flat, with a rural outlook, complete with a pond, sheep, fruit trees, and a private area to relax. Please note, it is not suitable for children, and there is 1 queen sized bed, with no room for any extra beds.

Waha Ridge Oyster Tent

This unique and romantic escape is situated in a place of outstanding natural beauty. Perched on the hill, the tent overlooks the oyster beds of Pukapuka Inlet. You will treasure this magical spot which sees in both the sunrise and the sunset from the spacious, wrap around deck.
