Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Malpais

We absolutely loved our time at Mariposa cottage. The terrace view was amazing and we enjoyed the visitors we had while enjoying our morning coffee. Iguanas, birds, squirrels, and the sound of howler monkeys and cicadas. The cottage has tons of character and artistic flair and the outdoor shower was fantastic! Peter was a great host. Highly recommend Mariposa if you’re looking for something unique with a fabulous view of the ocean in a jungle like setting.

Karen was AMAZING super responsive and easy to communicate assisted with absolutely every inquiry! When traveling to any foreign country reliability such as hers is CRUCIAL and made us feel extremely safe. Looks identical to the photos- enough said! Stayed here for a week and could’ve easily stayed longer. Didn’t see any monkeys :( but we did hear them. Extremely private - the jungle overlooking ocean view sunset is unmatched. Be sure to take advantage of the binoculars she provides on the rooftop. We only left the Airbnb ONCE in the week we were there to take the 10 minute ride to the beach just to have an idea of how great it was to just enjoy it! When renting an ATV be sure to request an AUTOMATIC if not comfortable with manual. Highly recommend taking the 25 minute domestic flight on either Sansa or greenway from SJO to cobano(ACO) rather than the 5+ hour drive. Upon landing the Airbnb is just about 30 minutes from ACO. Will 100% be back!

Mills La Maria is beautiful. Clean and inviting. Roberto was a great host. He was very accommodating and helpful. We actually got there too early for check-in but he helped us get to a local (and beautiful) restaurant to wait while the room was being prepared. Great access to the beach and walkable to several restaurants and supermarket. We had a great stay…complete with wonderful sights [and sounds] of Costa Rica.

Fantastic stay. If you are looking for a place to stay in Malpais, book this place now. The house is beautiful, the beds are comfy, the kitchen is the most well-equipped I’ve experienced in an Airbnb, the pool was great, wifi was excellent (with a separate connection for the pool area), garden was lush. It was really the perfect combination of privacy and convenience, not only to the beaches of Malpais, but also to the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa (10 min drive). Perfect for a family. May not be as ideal for three couples as the third bedroom is much smaller with no amenities (in which case I would recommend that you look at the hosts other 3 bedroom listings!) Adi is a very responsive, helpful and friendly host. He set up fishing and a horseback riding for us and had a ton of helpful recommendations. I highly recommend this listing and would definitely book here again if I return to the area!

Place of Paradise! Richard and Maria were extremely professional and kind during our stay. I proposed to my girlfriend at this place of paradise and the entire experience was one we will cherish forever and hold close to our hearts when looking back at the tranquility the ocean view home provided. I always ask myself before committing to an Airbnb whether the pics really hold up to the experience and I am grateful to announce the home matches perfectly to how represented online. We told both Richard and Maria if our life journey brings us back to the Santa Teresa area again we will book with them without any hesitation. They were so friendly and very easy to communicate our desires during our stay and everything went ideal!

This beautiful Costa Rican house maintained for visitors suited us perfectly. The two major suites offered privacy for my husband and myself and for my son and his family. The pool with its long slide was a major source of fun for the grandchildren, and adults could swim long laps. The area is quiet and the landscaping beautiful. A car is a needed. The closest town, Montezuma, has restaurants, a beach, and a visit to the falls is a must. Having Andriana's services available was a real plus. We hired her to shop and do our first dinner, which was delicious. We also compensated her for extra daily housekeeping making our stay especially relaxing. Fatima lives in her home nearby. She is the emergency contact, is fluent in English, and can provide information about the area. This place and our experiences with the people and in the area were simply the best!

Ohana Villas was the perfect place to stay in Santa Teresa! The property is beautiful, it’s well maintained and clean. The pool and pool area is great! A perfect spot to cool off and relax. The owners are present on the property every day & the nicest people! They would check in on how our stay is going, if we needed anything and just to say hi. We were given clear instructions to access the property, a lengthy list of recommendations for food and some overall information. I would stay here again and recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay in ST.

My group had a great experience staying at this home. the home was just like the pictures. Juan Carlos was really responsive and helpful with booking the shuttle from the airport as well as activities. You definitely need an ATV to get to this home, so would highly recommend you rent one and take into account the cost of renting it too.

I love the quiet location and great view! We were returning for a 3rd visit to this house and it’s always great! Walkable food, drinks, coffee and beach. Great hosts, always super responsive and kind. They’re helpful with things around the house and know everything about the area if you need anything. The beach is paradise! The house is a perfect place for you to feel like you’re miles away from anything, when really it’s just a quick walk
