Wonderful and private accommodation, arrived after a long (and rainy) hike from Westport and Ciara was incredibly responsive, flexible, helpful and welcoming. Lovely, cosy place.

Bernie’s cottage was very comfortable and cozy and in a great location for exploring Achill island and this part of the West coast. Also not too far from Westport which is a lovely town. Bernie was there to check us in and didn’t mind what time we arrived. This is his home and he stays onsite in a separate dwelling, although this is in no way intrusive to your stay. This is how Airbnb was originally intended to be used, rather than the many commercial rentals you find nowadays. So it’s quite nice to give back to a local with your stay as well. The outlook over the hills at the back is lovely. We appreciated that he left bread and milk for us. Thank you for a lovely stay

Waterfront cottage is attractive, comfortable and perfectly located for days out around the area, which is stunning! The pub next door is the best pub in town with decent food and a great selection on draft. Newport is charming and has everything you could possibly want. Lourda is super responsive and very friendly, the beds are clean and comfortable and the place is well equipped, the instructions and recommendations are clear and helpful. Wonderful!

What a beautiful place. We loved the landscape, the nearby national park, and Achill island beaches. Friendly neighbors. It was also fun to see many sheep in the countryside. A great place. We experienced a wonderful view of the stars at night, even from the driveway, and I saw shooting stars.
