Beachfront vacation rentals in Makry Gialos

We had a fantastic time. Everything was perfect. Decorated with a lot of love and everything you need is at your fingertips. Lefteris always responded immediately if there were questions and had very good tips for actions we could take in the ten days. We will definitely be back! The cottage is very small, but is exactly our style. The immediate surroundings and also the garden around the cabin there are beautiful and you can relax fantastically. Everything is very tastefully installed and the old olive tree right in front of the terrace is an oasis.

Very private, no noise from neighbors. We hardly heard any noise from the traffic as the apartment is not directly on the road. We stayed for a week and spent much time on the incredible balcony: you can always find a space in the shade there. We loved the Galini beach nearby. only downside is that you have to walk for 200 meters along the road, as there is no footpath. There is a private beach closer by, but not everyone will be willing to climb down. It's doable for most people, but it is no walk in the park. If you like solitude, or if the Galini beach is too crowded, then certainly try to go the private beach. The WiFi in the apartment and on the balcony is good enough to stream video to one laptop. We had a tremendous time and certainly will come back some time in the future

We had a great time at Pinelopi's relaxing apartment by the beach! She gave us lots of great suggestions of places to visit and was very kinda and friendly. There are lots of great beaches nearby. We enjoyed meeting Toby the dog and having Sissi the cat hang out with us each morning. thank you again!

A really enjoyable stay at Platankia. It was extremely well equipped and had everything you would need and more, only thing that would help would a microwave - the kids really enjoyed the toys that were in the beach basket and kept them entertained without the need for a TV etc. Be warned wifi is a bit slow but great if you want to disconnect from the Internet for a while. Some really great restaurants, would recommend Vespas for Pizzas and Vitsalo is great for seafood. Everyone in town is extremely friendly and kind and Myrtos is always contactable if you have any other queries. We enjoyed being able to pick oranges and lemons and made enough lemonade to sink a battleship! I really enjoyed the hmock and the slide and swing is great for children. It is extremely private as you have large greenhouses on both sides but at the same time it is super easy to walk into town. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and would come back. The gorge is worth seeing and lots of other stuff

great place, perfect for a familh as well. A short walk to the beach and local taverns. A short drive to Agios Nicholas with great shopping and city walking.

Our stay was very pleasant. Maria very helpful and very friendly. The apartment is very clean easily accessible and with very nice style in terms of aesthetics and practicality at the same time. Definitely a super choice if you want to stay in Agio and be in a nodal point with a sea view.

The place is beautifully decorated, especially on the balcony we loved spending time. Everything very spacious with really good amenities - even in the kitchen! Gladly again ☺️

It was wonderful, the boys and I loved the fire and outdoor whirl, but also the beautiful rural setting and the starry night sky. Even homemade baked goods were brought to us. They were very lovely hosts. Thank you.

We had a great time in this lovely villa. The outside is truly beautiful and we loved spending the day at the pool. Inside is also very nice especially with the brand new kitchen. We would love to come back!

My family and I stayed in Jovica's penthouse for a week. We were divine. The apartment, very clean and thoughtfully furnished, offers all comforts. Check-in was very simple and Jovica provided us with all the information in a precise and timely manner. The accommodation is within walking distance of the sea, where you can stay in peace in the shade of pine trees or in the sun. But the thing that most remained in my heart is the immense perfectly furnished terrace where I spent the most beautiful moments of the vacation enjoying beautiful views. Thanks to Jovica for letting us enjoy all this.

Absolutely fantastic, five stars quite honestly isn’t enough for Menelaos and his beautiful penthouse villa. The villa is perfectly located….it really couldn’t be closer to the sea, with unique views of Mochlos, the island and the coasts to the east and west. It’s equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long or short stay, and the balcony is just perfect….the hardest thing was to drag ourselves away from it! Most importantly Menelaos is an absolutely perfect host, we’ve never had a welcome like it and we immediately felt at home, Menelaos is a true gentleman. We’re lucky to spend quite a bit of time in Crete and will definitely return to Menelaos Penthouse Villa….in fact I’m already planning our next visit!

We really loved our stay. The house is perfect, super clean, comfortable and well equipped. It has a large balcony with great views over the sea, where we spent lovely mornings. There is also a small private sand beach just across the road! Manos is a great host. He gave us excellent recommendations for the nearby attractions and restaurants and left us fruits and sweets as a welcoming gift. We would definitely like to come again and stay longer.

A truly fantastic place to stay. Exceptionally well stocked apartment with absolutely everything you would need for a long or short stay. Close to lots of restaurants, but well stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook. Beautiful terrace for dining, both undercover and outside. Host Viky is charming and friendly and could not be more helpful. We hope to return another time.

We had an amazing week - we really enjoyed the house and its amenities and the beach is just across the street, so it’s a great place to disconnect and enjoy. If you like to run, there’s a long beach just a few mins away. Hosts were great, very responsive and super helpful. 100% recommend, would definitely come back.

Cristina's apartment is really great. It's just above their supermarket. A staircase leads directly down to the harbor and beach. Bars, restaurants etc. are very close. The apartment upstairs is not accessible, but feasible even if you are not good on foot. The amenities inside are also great. The terrace is a highlight. There is also a parking space directly on the property. Highly recommend.

This was our favourite stay of the trip. The place is idyllic, with a private swimming area only a few steps away. The house is decorated tastefully and gives a really nice indoor-outdoor feeling with the large patio and sliding doors. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with everything you might need to cook, including well-sharpened knives! Manolis brought us some fresh vegetables from the farm, which were delicious. Everything about the place is thoughtful and we loved our stay there. It is ideal for a trip where you want to spend a lot of time relaxing at the house and hanging out, it is so nice we barely wanted to leave!

Nice view from the terrace, with a lot of shade from the trees. The private beach is just incredible. Perfect spot to go for daytrips to discover east Crete. A car is needed as you are up on the hill – as it is called Ferma Hill Apartments and walking up and down to Ferma by foot can be quite dangerous at night. During windy days, Achlia beach is recommended, five- minutes-drive and suddenly all you feel is just a tiny breeze. Anna is always helpful, thank you very much! Make sure to visit Takis animal shelter in Ierapetra while you are staying there! Appointments need to be booked in advance on his website, most amazing animal lover and person!
