Incredible host and home. Only wish we had more free time to relax and enjoy the house and property. It was a fantastic respite from UVA graduation celebrations.

We stayed there for a family wedding so we could all be together instead of in hotel rooms. It was wonderful. Lots of bedrooms and places for family time and a fully equipped kitchen.

This was our second stay at Peacefield and it was just as wonderful this time. We enjoyed the pool everyday. The house has a lot to do. The home is peaceful and relaxing just what you want for a girl's weekend getaway! Barbara is always responsive if you have a question.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the LongRun Farm. It was conveniently located, 10 mins to the Shenandoah National Park (5 mins to Stanardsville center), quiet, spacious, well-decorated, and clean. My parents spoke highly of the view and quietness at the property and said this is the best place they stayed at during their two-week trip in the U.S.

This stay was absolutely delightful! We had hiked at White Oak canyon which was a super close drive away, and adored the house overall. The inside and backyard was extremely spacious, with a lovely porch and a lot of room. The kitchen was probably one of the best air bnb kitchens I had experienced, with a lot of basic ingredients at hand making it easy to cook given that we were kind of far away from any nearby grocery stores. The area was extremely peaceful and tranquil. My friend made use of the bath for a luxurious bubble bath, and we really enjoyed both the personality of the space and the openness and light coming in thanks to big windows and ceiling windows. One note is that the beds were extremely soft, which I am generally not a huge fan of, so be aware, but this by no means made the stay any less amazing. The 3-11 check-in check-out gave us ample time to arrive in the mid-afternoon/early evening after our hike, and have a nice slow morning to make pancakes and enjoy nature :)

We had a great retreat at John’s place. The farm was just the spot for a quiet weekend outside the city. John was a great host, thoughtful and responsive.

We had a peaceful 2 nights at Carrie’s place with a beautiful view of the lake. The house had so many thoughtful extras for the guests and everything was organized. We even used the Star Wars pancake maker to make Father’s Day breakfast. We rented the kayaks and went on the lake more than once. This is a unique find.

Pleasantly surprised by the house, the property and location. We rented the house for a group of 10 for my daughters graduation weekend from UVA. Although we didn't get to spend as much time at the property as we would have liked (due to graduation festivities), we all had plenty of room to unwind and enjoy a few hours each day. We wished we had more time to relax and take advantage of everything the property had to offer, but nevertheless, we were very happy with our stay - and hope to come back another time !

Besides the above, the place had an excellent internet connection with multiple outlets in both the bedroom and living area. Lots of small details throughout that showed a lot of thought went into providing comfort to whoever stayed there. Its appreciated.

Jennifer’s place was amazing! A fully private guest house with tons of space and well stocked. Beautiful location and we were excited to use the hot tub. Would definitely stay again when visiting Shenandoah.

We loved Bianca’s place, she is so sweet and considerate of her guests! I would definitely recommend & stay again when in Charlottesville! The property & stay was amazing!

I had a wonderful stay. Ruthann’s place was beautiful both inside and out. The room was spacious, spotless, and full of light, perfect for a solo traveler. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, great water pressure in the shower. I especially loved the raised nook beside the bed; it was a lovely place to begin the day, reading by the morning light and listening to the birds. The private patio is peaceful, a well-shaded garden with comfortable furnishings; you can spend all day out there. Ruthann is just lovely. Her instructions for parking and accessing the space were clear, and she was very responsive and checked in with me each day. It was great to chat. I felt very welcome. I appreciated all the little touches, from snacks and water to the collection of DVDs. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and hope to stay again!

Our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The residence was more perfect than the photos and is a perfect location for those traveling to Shenandoah National Park.

This place was so cute! Everything was clean and clearly taken care of. Plenty of space to park and had the most gorgeous view with benches all along the street. The railroad station is across the road but I heard no noise from the trains during our whole stay. The area is in the middle of plenty things to do from river put ins, skyline drive, great restaurants, sightseeing, and many other things. The hosts have everything set up to be very welcoming! I HIGHLY recommend!!

We had a wonderful stay at The Barn and would come back again in a heartbeat! Dawn and Damond were friendly, approachable, and provided all kinds of local recommendations during our visit. Their apartment was spotless, light, and equipped with just about everything one could need. We'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially small families with children. We had a wonderful stay! Close to Shenandoah NP for easy access each day. Space was perfect for us and our son. The patio was perfect for having our meals - with a great view and the sound of sheep from down the hill! Very peaceful. We are so glad we found this stay - highly recommend!

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

We wanted a quiet place away to enjoy nature. This was perfect. A few miles from great waterfall hiking…white Oak Canyon in SNP. We enjoy birding and found there was a great variety of birds to be heard. The leaves were pretty full on the trees, so viewing them was the challenge. We enjoyed the deck for birding right at the rental! We had three couples, a fourth invited but unable to come, so every couple had their own space. We prepared all our food, and the kitchen had a lot of space, and modestly stocked with utensils, etc. Being older our caloric needs were not much, so we did not feel we could eat our moneys worth at the restaurant. We really enjoyed the live music in the serene setting on Fri eve. We enjoyed watching the storm pass through Sat eve and the rainbow that formed.

Perfect spot for people who plan on bringing their personal boat to Lake Anna. Condo was clean and had all the amenities including prime proximity to the marina, locally owned restaurants and shopping. Would book again in a heartbeat. Had a great time!

Andy was very responsive and gave clear instructions. We had been at this resort a few times in the past and the unit we received was very nicely appointed and updated. We had all amenities and were super close to the indoor pool and gym. Comfortable.

Great stay. Isaac was easy to deal with. The place is beautiful and in a great location. We would definitely come back. It needs more hangers and more towels. Next time I will bring an extra set of towels for each bathroom with me. Very easy check out. Very relaxing stay.

We had a lovely stay at Lili's place. It was very peaceful! We would definitely book again if we were in the area. Lili was very responsive to any questions we had.

We had a great girls weekend at Melissa’s. The property was the perfect size for 4 and was very convenient! Ear plugs and white noise machines really helped with the street noise. Melissa was very responsive and helpful.

There was a small issue with the check in process but it was not the fault of the host. He was very responsive and helpful. We had a fantastic time!!
