AJ's House: Beautiful, Cozy, Renovated! 135/nt

CharlieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Fantastic stay overall. The host was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. We made an oversight during our booking in that we didn't notify in advance that we were bringing a pet, but once we explained the issue and discussed it with the host, she was very accommodating and allowed us to pay the pet deposit and stay. She has two small puppers who tagged along with us on several walks around the property (highly recommend walking up Bruce's Mountain for a spectacular view!). Would happily return for another stay in the future.

The Roost at Upper Nonesuch - Entire house

ThomasRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The home was wonderful. It was as clean as can be expected for a farmhouse. The location is quiet and a somewhat reasonable drive from humanity. Laura was nothing short of spectacular in making our stay a delightful as possible. When there was a plumbing issue, it was addressed immediately, on CHRISTMAS EVE! We really appreciated how our divided living spaces were connected between the main house and the “guest house.” We would definitely recommend this location, but be mindful of the drive time. Many thanks to Laura for making sure we had a great place to stay!

Countryside getaway 5 min. from Old Rag parking!

AnaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I wish I could give Stonesthroe Cottage 10 stars! It was hands-down one of the best Airbnb experiences I've ever had. The cottage was absolutely idyllic, like something from a fairytale. Every amenity you could possibly think of was provided, showing Zac and Leyla's amazing attention to detail. The surrounding woods were so peaceful and the little bench by the creek is the perfect spot to relax and listen to nature. There's a little electric grill on the deck that was perfect for cooking our meals and easy to clean afterwards. The fire pit was put to good use at the end of the evening, where we roasted marshmallows and gazed at the beautiful night sky covered in stars. My only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer! Thank you so much to Zac and Leyla for the amazing hospitality. We had a truly magical stay ✨

We had a wonderful time in this great house! The house was big with everything you could ask for. Our daughter was getting married at Rock Hill farm which is only 3.5 miles away and the house provided us a quiet, peaceful place to come home to after a busy day and evening. There were sheep grazing beside the house! We didn’t get a chance to tryout the spa and pool, but maybe next time. We highly recommend!!!

The River House at the Swinging Bridge

MaeRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a large group at the compound by the swinging bridge for New Years and it was absolutely ideal! We played games by the fire place, cooked delicious meals, relaxed in the sauna and hot tub, danced and watched movies in the game room, laughed around the fire pits, played frisbee in the lawn, and watched an incredible double rainbow over the river after a thunderstorm. The beds were very comfortable and the vibe was cozy and lived in. Taki was great to communicate with and we’re very thankful to him and his family for creating such a sanctuary. We definitely hope to return!

Spectacular Mountain Retreat

BriannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable, plus close to so many hikes in Shenandoah national park. The hosts really thought of everything, from coffee to cookware and even having the fire pit filled with brush so we could easily have a fire. The location is nestled in the mountainside and is SO quiet, coffee overlooking the mountains and hills with nothing but the sounds of nature was therapeutic. We are already talking about planning our next trip back!

Creekside Cottage Near Hiking

AmyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
From the moment we walked through the door we felt like we were in a home away from home. The coziest welcoming enveloping us in and drawing us closer. The decor was beautiful, the design stunning, the paint. colors magical and it just felt so cozy. My three year old loved the swing in the room (such a novelty) and the kitchen was easy to cook in. We wanted to box the house up and take it with us. The beds were cozy and warm and we loved all the extra blankets (and heaters) during the cold season. Thank you for creating such a welcoming space.

Nonesuch Farm and guest house~Shenandoah escape

LeahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This house is adorable, cozy and wonderful for a family getaway. Our family of 4, spent the weekend with our friends - another family for four. The kids had the absolute best time running around the yard, roasting marshmellow by the fire. The location is gorgeous but very remote. We did not have cell service so had to rely on wifi for communication (which was fine for a quiet restful getaway!). Driving anywhere takes at least 20 minutes but more like 30-40. We did a day trip to Lurray and to Shenandoah Skyline drive. House was well stocked with all the basics for cooking and had ton of linens. Huda was SO kind and responsive though and an absolutely wonderful host. There were even frwsh flowers out for us when we arrived :) All in all we would definitely recommend this property for a peaceful, nature getaway!! Thank you for hosting us :)
