Cabin vacation rentals in Madawaska Valley

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

Sarah’s place was beautiful and exactly what we needed for a restful week away! We loved the included amenities and made sure to put them to good use. Whenever we needed something, Sarah was very prompt to answer and assist us! We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend the beach house or one of her other two properties at the Inspire Beach Resort.

Cabin Bjorn was everything we expected - and more! Set on a beautiful property surrounded by tall trees and the Irondale River, it truly is a slice of paradise. We were so fortunate to spend four days here, relaxing and unwinding. Cassidy’s a fantastic host and we hope to be back this summer!

Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

I have experienced a few airbnbs to date and must say that I have yet to experience anything unpleasant. That's because of the incredible integrity of hostesses like Charlotte, overseeing places like this sweet gem: true to its advertisement, and very well laid out instructions which kept us from having to inquire about anything. We came to create and we came to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. My husband and I are calling this our "Oasis-Escapis" and plan to bring more monumental celebrations and creative endeavours here. We chose to cancel our trip to South Carolina due to the current USA administration's policies. We opted instead for an Ontario staycation and Highpoint Hideaway checked all of our boxes. It is so cozy and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove, the hot tub, the ambience and the natural setting. We went for some lovely walks and made all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was important to us to have our dog, and the cottage was a perfect spot for him. I highly recommend Highpoint Hideaway!

Dan’s place is by far one of our favourites! My family stayed here for 5 days to celebrate my birthday. It was exactly what we needed. Plenty of relaxation and surrounded with nature. The wood fire hot tub is the best. Plenty of space for our dog to run around outside as well. We love to cook so kitchen is perfect for us. It’s well equipped and my husband learned to make a latte. It was amazing! I would highly recommend it and we can’t wait to go back ♥️

Our stay was amazing! We went in the beginning of October and there was hardly anyone there. The environment was absolutely stunning, the fall rhapsody was in full effect. There also was a tone of stuff to do, like a dog park, hiking, canoeing, badminton, etc. the cabin itself was small but very cozy. Just remember to bring warm clothes and bedding if you go in the fall because there is just a small heater. We were very comfortable though. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

What a beautiful place to visit. Plenty of trails to hike and explore with our dogs . The cabin was so clean and cozy . It was nice to see a few of the farm animals as well. Highly recommend the ranch .

This place exceeded all our expectations. The host is phenomenal. His responses were always fast, extremely friendly and understanding. He was very accommodating with our date changes (due to a military move) and made our process super easy. The place is stunning. Even better than the pictures. It’s open, spacious, with lots of modern, high end touches. I have already been recommending this place to all my friends. It’s a must stay- in the winter or summer. Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

The place is wonderful and Edvard was available for all our queries. It was a pleasant and memorable experience for me and my family!

The place was a little hard to find but Megan was SO helpful and guided us all the way there! The room was beautiful and the nature surrounding was so peaceful! It was a little cold so we had to wake up in the middle of the night to feed more wood to the fire. But other than that, this was an amazing stay and I'll definitely be coming back in the summer 😍

We loved our stay at Hailee’s cabin! The location was remote, peaceful, clean, and well decorated, exactly as described. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive at all times. The river is too low for swimming, probably due to lack of rain this season. We were there to enjoy the crisp fall weather and fire place, so it wasn’t an issue for us, just something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a place to swim every day in the summer. Overall, a great place to stay and a wonderful change of pace being off the grid!

We had the perfect stay while at “Rowe’s Cabin” starting the new year in a quiet and peaceful setting. The hosts shared the story of the land and the cabin, including its history, adding to the experience and atmosphere for us that we really valued. They recommended going to Barron Canyon and we made sure to make a stop on our way out and it was the perfect ending to or trip, we were the only ones on the trail making it so much more whimsical. We snowshoed around the cabin and quietly sat in the window, playing uno, in the evening watching deer and wildlife coming up to the cabin for an hour or two. It had snowed the day we got there so it felt extra disconnected and relaxing. The hosts made sure we felt comfortable and safe in the cabin, we often are out in the woods during all times of the year and the hosts make this cabin experience in the woods fun and within reach to anyone new to the being in the woods or have more experience in the woods.

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! We had a great stay at Quianna's cozy and warm little cabin. The cabin was clean and well kept. She informed about the shops and restaurants nearby and that they shutdown early so we could plan accordingly. Best place to stay while you explore the Algonquin park highway 60 corridor.

What great quiet place to unwind and relax from the daily grind. Helen and Carl were great host's. All the extra amenities included. Great experience. We highly recommend a stay here!

The Barndo is a true gem! If you like what you see on the listing you won't be disappointed. The kitchen is fully equipped and totally functional, the wood stove and sauna are both well maintained, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom, office space and living area are exactly what you need them to be. The space is clean, charming, nicely decorated and I appreciated the attention to detail and quality throughout. Cathy seems to have thought of everything, and has created an easy, peaceful space that makes for a perfectly comfortable stay. We're already planning our next trip!

This is a wonderful and cozy cabin experience for a group of 4. The place has a lovely history and is preserved that way with attention to aesthetics that take you back in time. Debbi is a warm host and although we didn’t get to meet in person she was quick to respond and provided all the necessary details during our stay. Good parking space, private location and beautiful nursery and nature around the property. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Algonquin provincial park during the fall season. Had a wonderful stay, the cabin was absolutely perfect. Very cute, clean and well appointed. I will definitely be back. I strongly urge vacationers to try Honeys Diner, down the Rd, delicious breakfasts and the Woodview convenience store has all your last minute items that you may need, not to mention very yummy locally made cheesecake and butter tarts. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ -Linda 🙌

The Forest House is a magical gem of creativity and tranquility. The property inspired at every turn and hill, and the labyrinth was a mesmerizing maze. Wintergreen’s values of environmental sustainability and co-existence with nature made this stay a homage as well as a holiday. Thank you for sharing this space.
