You don't often come across a place like this on Airbnb. The more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time travel to a 19th century village in the far north of Finland. The property is best suited for a friend of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who is not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

Here you can do skiing, snowshoeing, and fishing. In addition, we organize snowmobile tours as desired. The cottage is about 75km to the city of Rovaniemi. Ice fishing tour 40€ person, 1-2h. Small and peaceful cabin in the nature. Luosto village center is about 3 km far away and Luosto Amethyst mine, which you can visit, is about 2 km away. Authentic Finnish log cabin, which ensures a warm and comfortable stay. Please note that this cabin is semi-detached, meaning that you may share the area with some other visitors. The cabins however can only be accessed from the outside and you don't have to share facilities.
