Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Luang Prabang Province

We had the most wonderful stay at this serene riverside retreat. The view was absolutely breathtaking—sunrises over the river with the mountains in the background were unforgettable. It was the perfect place to unwind and reconnect as a family. The space was comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully prepared, making it ideal for both my children and my parents. Everyone felt at home right away. We especially appreciated the quiet mornings on the deck, the fresh air, and the gentle rhythm of the river. we enjoyed the place very much. we felt right at home with family visiting. big great place closed to local street market. she had a sour mango tree, yummy with spicy sauce! Nathalie was very responsive from start to end eventhough there was 12 hrs apart. she had her cleaner wait for us, she gave us so many tips and taxies info to use. would recommend and would use again if ever back in town

The location was nice and it was a very spacious house, so it was comfortable enough for four people to stay.

Our stay at Chaliya’s Airbnb was great. The house looked the same as in the photos, we especially enjoyed having a kitchen and spending time at the rooftop at night time. Chaliya was also extremely helpful with everything we needed. She made our stay easy and comfortable.

The house is in a very quiet location. Everything was very neat, clean and there is a very nice señora next door who helped us with all questions. It is a 25-minute walk to the center, but it is easier with a scooter :)

We loved the house and views. Windows all around. Comfortable bed. It was a little far from the Mekong River. They gave us bicycles to use and that helped a lot. We ate most meals at restaurants on the river. Luang Prabang is a cute town and fun to explore. We made friends with kids at the monastery next door and brought them fruit and watched them climb trees to get fruit. Michael was in Germany but communicated promptly. His in-laws in the house below us were accommodating and took us to the airport at the end of our trip.

What an amazing heritage apartment for an ultimate local experience. The balcony with view on the river bank is great to enjoy the sunrise, breakfast and chill after a long day. It has everything incl a fully equipped kitchen. I just missed a rack to hang wet clothes on the balcony. I hope other visitors appreciate the beauty of the apartment and treat it carefull to keep it intact. The location on the river bank is great, peaceful in the morning, not loud, just behind the main street for shops, restaurants, bike rentals, etc. I found the approximate location on the listing of Airbnb misleading, because the apartment is not in that area. It didn't matter to me on the end, because i preferred the actual location and Luang Prabang is very walkable.

Chanthi is an incredible host and a lovely person! She welcomes you with a basket of fresh fruits and the warmest smile. The house is spacious and well-equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. It's a bit further from the city centre, and one of the bikes was a little tall for us, so we mostly walked or rented a motorbike. The neighbourhood dogs (all pets) can be unpredictable and bark at night, but once introduced, they become friendly. If you're afraid of dogs, talk to Chanthi—she'll happily find a solution. Overall, it was a memorable and highly recommended stay!

Wonderful stay in a peaceful sleepy little town 😊

I really enjoyed my week stay there and the owner (French) was one of the most helpful hosts I ever had. They picked me up from station! Place was well taken care with good amenities. Aircon was life saving haha! I really appreciated the bycicle, you can get to old town maybe in less than 10 min. Unfortunately two things need to be noted before you book. Firstly - there is no glass windows, just mosquitiera+wood. Which makes it super dark all the time there. Helps with heat, but going to sleep and waking up dark is like living in prison cell. As long as you wake up with sunrise and go out you be fine, otherwise it's quite depressing. It's also noisy! I was lucky that during my stay construction nearby was stopped. It only resumed on the last day and it was really loud :( also neighbors are noisy too, with even having loud fights at 1am and you can hear every word. I would still consider staying again, Eric (owner) was super kind and helpful. Just note those things before you stay.

This is a real vacation home. Clean, quiet, safe, comfortable, easy to walk around the city. The owner is very kind and welcoming. I will definitely come back.
