Monthly Rentals in Lower Farringdon

Farthing Cottage was an absolute dream for a lover of all things English, Cadbury and cottage garden style. I arrived very late due to a train delay. Louise was very communicative and concerned on my behalf. She had lights on when I arrived. First thing on the spot - Malteser bunnies under a cake dome with chocolate easter egg cake! How did she know about me and maltesers/Cadbury! A welcome card also greeted me. The cottage has 17th century beams, lending a warm and cosy atmosphere. The fireplace had to be original and was gorgeous. Plenty of books, brochures and an instruction sheet. Living room was so cosy, I could have stayed there forever. Lovely furnishings. The master bedroom was sublime. Beautiful duvet and the bedframe appeared right out of Laura Ashley. Great bed and wonderful sleep. Louise couldn't have been more kind. Lovely neighbors. I couldn't get over that I could look out the window and see Jane Austen's house! My eyes welled up when it was time to go.

Simon was very responsive and the instructions getting there were comprehensive. Check-in with him was easy as he and his wife were very friendly. The private location meant it was quiet and peaceful.

The place was beautiful, small, peaceful and exactly what myself and my son needed. We were given carrots to feed the donkeys, offered fresh produce from the garden and we were provided with milk in the fridge on arrival. The place was clean and tidy, the area was great and we walked up to the garden centre for breakfast on our first morning. The sunset was incredible and we would definitely stay again. It isn’t completely private as you’re in their garden, however, that didn’t bother us and they were respectful and super friendly. It was my first time travelling alone with my son so it was lovely to feel like I could ask for help if I needed it and almost like staying at a family house. Their dog was lovely and friendly and they were also aware of exercising the dog when my son was crawling in the garden which wasn’t necessary but kind and thoughtful. We would definitely like to stay again!

Another great weeekbd staying at the Ivy Annexe in Chawton. This place is just beautiful have 2 fantastic hosts and 3 dogs and chickens with free eggs. Cant do enough fir any guest that stays here, always a pleasure staying at this Airbnb just like home
