Vacation rentals with lake access in Lot-et-Garonne

What a fantastic stay we had in Mauriac. We were very friendly and there was always a quick response to questions. The place is great for people who love peace and space. Our dog was able to walk around safely in the surrounding garden. The house was really equipped with all the comforts. High quality finish of all belongings. Supermarkets and bakeries about 15 minutes away are fine to do. We can recommend everyone to go here!

If you want to spend a few quiet days and enjoy nature, it is a very good choice. Anne and Gilles' treatment was excellent, they are endearing. Attentive at all times and concerned about any needs we had. The company of their animals, chickens, sheep and cats was very nice. We won't hesitate to visit again.

We spent a lovely relaxing week in this beautiful part of the world as the start to our holiday with our 3 daughters aged 16, 14 and 10. Great cottage and pool, fantastic and attentive hosts (David and Carol) and easy proximity to Duras / night markets / supermarkets etc. Our daughters loved Bella the Goose who kept them entertained! Very interesting quirky old house with lots of lovely antique things in it. It is set in a wide open space with swings and slides and had loads of amazing toys which my 3 year old grandson loved. He didn’t want to leave and said he was going to miss the very friendly donkeys and all the toys. We had a lovely time but sadly the weather was very mixed so we only managed to use the pool once. On our last night we ate at Azul in Cancon and it was excellent. Thank you Françoise and Pascal for a lovely stay.

I have stayed at many Airbnbs but I would happily say this was the best. Where to start? Practicalities: easy to find, extremely comfortable, anything you want is quickly addressed, the Pigionaire is fully fitted out, the pool is clean, big and surrounded by beautiful plants. Wifi sometimes a little eccentric. The area is smack in the middle of purple Perigorde, so endless chateaux, gardens, restaurants and rivers surround. Best of all is the wonderful hostess Veronique whom it was a real pleasure to get to know. Many hosts say their place should be a 'second home'...this truly is. Charming doesn't do full justice. Thoroughly recommend.

In the french countryside lies a wonderful little getaway. The cottage offers enough space (2 adults and 2 slightly bigger dogs) and is comfortable. Only the bathroom & the shower were a bit small. But the true gem is in front of the cottage: a sunlit veranda with a pool where you can spend entire afternoons and just forget the time 'til the sun goes down and the night comes. And an orchard where you can saunter beneath the trees (our dogs loved it to run around the whole place). Furthermore there is a small pond where you can fish or have a go in the rowboat. And should there be a cloudy or rainy day -no problem, Tas & Martyn have you covered- there is a whole room with pooltable, air hockey and plenty more to spend a whole day.
